The property is a 1927 mansion in a very good condition. Operated with a minimal staff. Very elegant restaurant and bar, open 3 evenings per week. The breakfast room is nice and clean with reduced options for low calorie eaters.

A very interesting and well kept hotel and restaurant. The staff was friendly. They rooms were clean and comfortable. The food and service at the restaurant was excellent. The grounds outside were very pleasant, with peacocks and guineas roaming about. An aviary and a nice patio area with a large fountain. Very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. We definitely will return again

Wonderful place to stay and dine! The staff was so accommodating and the room was delightful! The grounds are full of adventures…peacocks, parakeets, a cat, and Guineafowl. We loved the food in the quaint restaurant and bar. We will definitely return here on our next visit to the area!

It’s a very small town and not much to do. But this hotel is quaint, clean, and comfortable, although old and wooden. So expect some creaking boards. Even so, it’s a good place to rest.

This is a very old hotel. The antiques are lovely but the room was quite old. The carpet needed cleaned and there are very few outlets in the room. The bathroom is very small but had been renovated so it was nice but we couldn’t get hot water and keep it. It just wasn’t worth the money we paid to stay there.

The history of the Lodge was interesting, we really liked the staff, so friendly, also the room was extra clean!! We did have a room facing the highway, so it was a bit noisy, however, considering the age of the property, and single glass windows, it is to be expected! Overall, a great stay.

The property being almost 100 years old is well maintained and clean. Some of the details in the interior woodwork is quite magnificent. Our room, while small, was very clean and comfortable. I had read comments regarding road noise on road side rooms but our room which was on the road side was quiet. We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay here again.

Ok, this is a mixed review for all the couples out there. We accidentally found this place. I am a history nerd and I absolutely fell in love with this place. I made 8 different videos, walked the halls over and over, sat in the study and read the newspaper clippings of the history of it, visited the dining room, chatted with people in the cafe kitchen, and sat in front of the fire in the morning. This was a literal dream vacation stay for me, at a phenomenal price. My husband, he hated it. To him, I booked us an old, haunted hotel. He loathed every single non-modern amenity from the “community a/c” to the closets and doors and cast iron bath tub. There is a TV, electricity, an in-room fridge and an A/C vent - so it’s not like you’re at the turn of the 20th century, but it might as well have been to him. I seriously thought we might fight. lol. In the end, we both slept phenomenally. He said it was the best night’s sleep he had in a hotel. We we had gone to the dollar store the night before and picked up a cheap mini fan and it all worked out. So the final verdict - if you love resorts, and ultra-modern, probably keep driving. If you want a one-of-a-kind stay and you’re an easygoing type or love history and charm, you are going to be in heaven.

This is an older hotel that has a very interesting history. It’s worth the time to enjoy the artwork found throughout the lodge. Everyone on staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful and we found the other people who stayed there to be delightful. The bed was extremely comfortable! In Florida a properly functioning AC system is a must.. the Thermostat to the up stairs rooms are in the hallway and control a total of 4 rooms at a time. I figured this out only after alerting the staff that it felt like 80 degrees in my room. After speaking to the staff about this issue I was prompted to change the thermostat in the halfway but the AC never cooled down significantly. I read about this issues in the reviews so it’s on going thing.. it’s truly a shame because otherwise the hotel is very nice with an old Florida feel. The staff members are very friendly and the hotel and rooms seem very clean.

Enjoyed this very old Lodge and all of the character. Our bed was comfortable, just be aware that if you are in a room on the busy highway side - it is very noisy in the morning. The restaurant was wonderful and everyone was super friendly. If in this area we would not hesitate to stay again.

We spent one night here to break up a trip from Tampa to Pensacola. The Putnam Lodge Hotel and Spa is delightful in everyway. The history behind this hotel is so interesting. The owners have done an excellent job of keeping the old and yet offering modern amenities. The room was spacious, clean and charming and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. The grounds are so peaceful and the owners go out of their way to make you feel like family. It is just beautiful inside and out. A hidden gem for sure but those traveling on the Hwy 19 corridor should make this a stopover. You won't want to leave!

Restaurant had great food and service. Rooms were more than adequate. Housekeeping was very good. Staff was more than helpful and quick to share the history of this hotel. Management was on top of the operations. It was like being in a relatives' home for the weekend.

Restaurant had great food and service. Rooms were more than adequate. Housekeeping was very good. Staff was more than helpful and quick to share the history of this hotel. Management was on top of the operations. It was like being in a relatives' home for the weekend.

Wonderful place to stay and dine! The staff was so accommodating and the room was delightful! The grounds are full of adventures…peacocks, parakeets, a cat, and Guineafowl. We loved the food in the quaint restaurant and bar. We will definitely return here on our next visit to the area!

The history of the Lodge was interesting, we really liked the staff, so friendly, also the room was extra clean!! We did have a room facing the highway, so it was a bit noisy, however, considering the age of the property, and single glass windows, it is to be expected! Overall, a great stay.

It’s a very small town and not much to do. But this hotel is quaint, clean, and comfortable, although old and wooden. So expect some creaking boards. Even so, it’s a good place to rest.

We spent one night here to break up a trip from Tampa to Pensacola. The Putnam Lodge Hotel and Spa is delightful in everyway. The history behind this hotel is so interesting. The owners have done an excellent job of keeping the old and yet offering modern amenities. The room was spacious, clean and charming and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. The grounds are so peaceful and the owners go out of their way to make you feel like family. It is just beautiful inside and out. A hidden gem for sure but those traveling on the Hwy 19 corridor should make this a stopover. You won't want to leave!

This place is a sweet gem in the quiet country! Very clean and the staff was outstanding. The towel were thick, fluffy and smelled so good! We had dinner at the Restaurant and the food was outstanding! A . Very unique and lovely hotel. I can’t wait to go back.

Enjoyed this very old Lodge and all of the character. Our bed was comfortable, just be aware that if you are in a room on the busy highway side - it is very noisy in the morning. The restaurant was wonderful and everyone was super friendly. If in this area we would not hesitate to stay again.

Unexpected. Picture of the front of the property was realistic, but the hotel was 'quirkier' than expected. Not the standard template for a modern hotel. Breakfast was not just serve-yourself, but also cook-yourself! Lots of eclectic decoration around, with original, unrestored furniture in the small but clean bedrooms. Excellent food and even better service in the restaurant.

The property is a 1927 mansion in a very good condition. Operated with a minimal staff. Very elegant restaurant and bar, open 3 evenings per week. The breakfast room is nice and clean with reduced options for low calorie eaters.

We enjoyed the old-town feel of the lodge, various antiques, and furnishings.It was very clean. I requested a hair dryer and it was provided immediately. My only suggestion would be to refresh the breakfast and snack area. From Friday night check-in to Sunday morning, nothing new was added and nothing replaced. We would stay here again. Also enjoyed the casual seating areas outside, watched peacocks, Guinea hens, cats, squirrels.

It is a very unique place. I would strongly recommend staying in this hotel. Keep in mind dining room is open from Thursday-Sunday. Excellent food. Staff was so friendly. Roo was so clean, and a lot of history in the 100 year old building. Awesome place!

Unfortunately the restaurant and the bar was not open on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Well I came there expecting for them to have a Spa. Because they said that had one on their website. Then I called them before I even came to get the prices for the Spa and they said that the person was not there that day. To me to call back. But it was already time for me to go there so I told myself I would see the prices when I get there. So i get there and there is no Spa. I was very upset. Then they said that they had free breakfast in the morning. But there was no actual breakfast. Only cakes and I am a diabetic. So i could not eat there. Also I went to take my shower and it took about 20 minutes for the water to get warm. The shower had no water pressure. It took me a hr and a half just to take my shower. The restaurant was good there.

This was an old plantation home that has been renovated. It has a lot of charm and is well kept. Many of the old house details have been preserved. There are beautiful grounds and an event space. The owners of 13 years live upstairs and the wife is lovely. She gave us the history of the area and wine/apps on our arrival. If you are in the area, would recommend a stay!
