The property was exactly as described and was a perfect base for us to explore the southeast of the island. We didn't have a single complaint during our stay and the one question we asked was promptly answered. The icing on the cake was watching the northern lights from the hot tub! We would not hesitate to book again. Thank you for helping make a memorable holiday.

Wonderful accommodation! Near major national park and other attractions. As a family of five we had tons of space and the hot tub was perfect. Supermarket is only about 10 minutes away to stock up the fridge. Stayed in three different hotels for this trip but the kids (teenagers) all declared this one the best.

Terrific stay, and a wonderful home base for a couple of nights within the Golden Circle area. We loved being based here and then being able to go out in the evening to visit sites like Gullfoss and the Geysir area (just 45 mins away) when they were not crowded. The place itself is modern, spacious, and very well kept. Loved the outdoor grill, hot tub, and comfortable beds. In our view, this was far better than staying at a hotel.
Terrific stay, and a wonderful home base for a couple of nights within the Golden Circle area. We loved being based here and then being able to go out in the evening to visit sites like Gullfoss and the Geysir area (just 45 mins away) when they were not crowded. The place itself is modern, spacious, and very well kept. Loved the outdoor grill, hot tub, and comfortable beds. In our view, this was far better than staying at a hotel.

Had to wash all dishes we used as lots of dishes were just a little dirty. Eco friendly washer/ dryer didn’t dry even a small load of towels after multiple cycles. Would definitely return! We saw the northern lights from right outside our house!

We stayed in four hotels during our trip to Iceland and this by far was the best! We had a two bedroom, two bathroom house with a hot tub. The house was very new and we had a ton of space. The kitchen was great and both bathrooms were large. The beds were very comfortable. The only drawback to this property is the location. There is a restaurant and mini-mart about 10 minutes away, but Selfoss is about a 20 minute drive.

Everything about this stay was perfect! The space is perfect for a family, with full kitchen and living space and two full bedrooms for the unit we were in. Plus hot tub! I would move here! Communication was great on top of it.

We loved our trip to Iceland, the stay at Kerbyggd really was the icing on the cake. Exceptionally clean, modern houses with everything you need for a self catering stay. Jumping in the hot tub whilst surrounded by snow was a big highlight, we even saw the northen lights out front too. And whilst we were there at the end of October and had a fair amount of snowfall the houses were super warm and well insulated. The house is in a great spot for exploring the golden circle, really quite central and close to many great sights. A real 10/10 stay.

We loved everything about this property except for the extensive black mould and layers of scum build-up in both showers on the floors, walls and around the drains. The smell was nauseating and we felt uncomfortable using them. We emailed the host and got a very curt reply that they’d send a cleaner over. When we returned later in the day hoping for clean showers, we were very disappointed. A surface wipe had been done but they looked and smelled just as bad. Perhaps the same person who ‘cleaned’ them in the first place was sent back? We were just surprised at how stunning the place was, and then to have such bad cleaning standards? And also disappointing at the lack of care or interest from the host. Wish the photos could be uploaded here to show just how gross they were. Cleaning elsewhere was ok though and it really was a beautiful little place. It was a well stocked kitchen which we really appreciated.

We absolutely loved staying here. The location of the house was perfect for driving the Golden Circle. And we loved sitting in the hot tub looking for Northern Lights and star gazing. Also loved all of the oversized windows and mountain backdrop. Home and beds were warm and comfy! Perfect for our family! We wish we could stayed longer. Thank you so much! God bless!

What a beautiful cottage in the perfect spot to enjoy the Golden Circle plus some extras - make sure you look at the guest info book for ideas. The place was lovely and had everything we needed to eat in and enjoy being home in the middle of our Iceland trip. The bottle of champagne and the beautiful chocolate were such a welcoming touch. Thank you!

This property added so many wonderful little details that just made the stay that much better. As is, the cabin is beautiful with amazing views of the landscape. The owners left a bottle of champagne, a chocolate bar, and a cute stuffy for the kiddos which set this place apart. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

We loved everything about this property except for the extensive black mould and layers of scum build-up in both showers on the floors, walls and around the drains. The smell was nauseating and we felt uncomfortable using them. We emailed the host and got a very curt reply that they’d send a cleaner over. When we returned later in the day hoping for clean showers, we were very disappointed. A surface wipe had been done but they looked and smelled just as bad. Perhaps the same person who ‘cleaned’ them in the first place was sent back? We were just surprised at how stunning the place was, and then to have such bad cleaning standards? We absolutely loved staying here. The location of the house was perfect for driving the Golden Circle. And we loved sitting in the hot tub looking for Northern Lights and star gazing. Also loved all of the oversized windows and mountain backdrop. Home and beds were warm and comfy! Perfect for our family! We wish we could stayed longer. Thank you so much! God bless!

Had a town 10 mins away with cute bakery and food options . Our stay was comfortable. We got to see northern lights 2 out 3 nights of our stay from the backyard . Good location to golden circle . We woke up early and got to the stops before the bus tours came in and it felt less crowded doing it that way.

Wonderful accommodation! Near major national park and other attractions. As a family of five we had tons of space and the hot tub was perfect. Supermarket is only about 10 minutes away to stock up the fridge. Stayed in three different hotels for this trip but the kids (teenagers) all declared this one the best.

Terrific stay, and a wonderful home base for a couple of nights within the Golden Circle area. We loved being based here and then being able to go out in the evening to visit sites like Gullfoss and the Geysir area (just 45 mins away) when they were not crowded. The place itself is modern, spacious, and very well kept. Loved the outdoor grill, hot tub, and comfortable beds. In our view, this was far better than staying at a hotel.

We stayed in four hotels during our trip to Iceland and this by far was the best! We had a two bedroom, two bathroom house with a hot tub. The house was very new and we had a ton of space. The kitchen was great and both bathrooms were large. The beds were very comfortable. The only drawback to this property is the location. There is a restaurant and mini-mart about 10 minutes away, but Selfoss is about a 20 minute drive.

We loved our trip to Iceland, the stay at Kerbyggd really was the icing on the cake. Exceptionally clean, modern houses with everything you need for a self catering stay. Jumping in the hot tub whilst surrounded by snow was a big highlight, we even saw the northen lights out front too. And whilst we were there at the end of October and had a fair amount of snowfall the houses were super warm and well insulated. The house is in a great spot for exploring the golden circle, really quite central and close to many great sights. A real 10/10 stay.

The accommodation looked exactly like the photos and was spotless. It was located right next to Kerið Crater, making it easy and convenient to step outside at night to watch the northern lights. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the hot tub, which was a bit disappointing. It’s definitely a place we would love to stay at again and highly recommend to others.
