Studio 6 San Antonio TX Northwest Medical Center

I stayed here for nine days with my dog . It was a pleasurable experience. Didn’t have to worry about any rodents or roaches. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. I felt safe in that area. The pool was clean so I do recommend for you to stay here for short or long stays . I also liked that we had a fridge microwave sink, toaster, and coffee maker in our room it did come in handy.

I was traveling with my mother and picked out this hotel because it has an ADA room with a walk-in shower and TWO beds. That combination is extremely hard to find. Our room was in the "Studio 6" portion of the hotel. Apparently the other half of the hotel is "Motel 6" rooms. The difference is our room had a kitchen (microwave, apartment sized fridge with freezer, kitchen sink, & kitchen storage) and the regular Motel 6 rooms have only the basics. Be sure to pay attention to which you are booking. The hotel pool is small but clean. The ice machine was broken which was quite disappointing. The snack & drink machines were also out of service but they were last year, too, so I don't expect them to be fixed. Fortunately, there is a service station/convenience store next door and a nice H-E-B an easy walk away. Even closer is a McDonald's & Wendy's. It's a few minute drive from the hotel to the Medical Center area. There is a bus stop across the street from the hotel which can be helpful. We didn't have any noise issues while we were there. A very nice family works there and does the cleaning & other work around the hotel. There is a laundry room with two washers and two dryers that were clean and it good condition. The machines don't take cash, only payment by credit card or app but that was easier than trying to round up change. No vending of detergent so bring your own. When driving there is a back entrance/exit for the hotel which often much more convenient.

Nice clean rooms, no issues with bugs. It was very quiet. Lots of light in the parking lot so felt very secure. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. A/C worked great. I'd stay again, especially for the price.

Terrible place. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. AC was not working properly. Restroom door was all chewed up, probably by a dog. Other guests had dogs which were making a lot of noise. Couldn't find ice machine.

I was concerned when i arrived. Yet, i was pleased to find a clean spacious updated room. Quick checkin. The outside was brilliantly lit so that there was an aura of safety. I was only there a couple of days. It is suitable for a place to lay your head down while you visit or work.

No information about tv or anything like ice machines. Not bad for the price.

This Hotel is a great place to stay. Really great bang for your buck here, but I only have one complaint and that is parking. I am a musician and I come in late, meaning early in morning after gig, and finding a spot to park in is tough. Other than that, it's a great place. I will stay here again for sure!

I loved that there was always parking and it was quiet and easy to get in and out of the property. I did not like all the transients that lingered on the property. There was also the occasional drug exchange and prostitution.

Room floors were stained with black ink, bed sheets were stained, pillows were stained, towels were all stained, and the room smelled like cigarettes. Don’t recommend staying at this place unless you really need a room. The service attendant was nice and welcoming though.

All in all was a good stay just little roaches was kind of a problem but my room was nice!

Bed sheets had stains on them. Towels had stains on them. The bed had hairs like if someone had slept on it and they just made the bed and re rented the room. I had rented the room for two nights and i only stayed one, i prefered to lose my money rather than staying another night.

The fridge had roaches, the room had no soaps or even an ironing board, and also be prepared to pay a $150 deposit apon arrival.

The property was more run down that lead to believe, they charged an afditional deposit on top of our stay. Didn't offer any of amenities that we were shown on the booking in our rooms. There was no ice machine we could find. The front desk was more than mildly sexist and the people wo were renting were paying to stay for 1 night 'parties' and seemed to get bottom floor preference. This was a terrible motel. Our bathroom had dried pee on the ceiling and the cigarette burns all over the blankets, and no duvets in sight. The sheets were rough looking and had permanent stains on them and there was no in room amenities. The staff was rude and nosey. I will never bring my family back to this location.

There were bed bugs and I didn’t even get my full refund after only staying for one night in that room. I showed proof of the bed bugs and was told I would be contacted via email about getting my full refund but never was. I’m highly upset and disappointed.

The room smelled like stale cigarettes back to 1980 and I was told it was smoke free. I also killed a roach in the bathroom. The pillows only had one thin cover and the actual pillow was dirty and exposed at the ends.

Asked for a refund. They told me to get with hotels.com then he left the office- im assuming because he knew when i called them that they would be calling him.. called hotels.com they tried calling him over and over i said yeah hes not in there, went to find him to tell him they were calling. He finally answered and told them they had to send an email because his manager wasnt in until 9am the next day. Hotels.com told me the next day they refused my refund because i already checked in. Well yeah technically but never even got my suitcase out of my truck because i always inspect the rooms first because i have a 7 yr old daughter im not going to put in a nasty room. Shouldve known, they just had good reviews so thought it was going to be decent but no. Must be paying someone for those reviews because there is no way. Other rooms windows were busted out and boarded up. Felt unsafe and disgusted.

There were stains on the sheets and you could tell the floor hadn’t been mopped

So I show up they give me a room on the ground floor..ac does not turn on at all. They move me to second floor ac does not turn off, tv is not working , kept scrambling the hole time

Horrible room, had roaches, vent was broken off, AC didn’t work very well.

The staff was nice. But, The room I got was terrible. The AC made this screeching sound whenever I turned it on and the refrigerator made this constant rumbling noise from the compressor. I had to sleep by turning all of them off in the summer in Texas.

Studio 6 is part of Motel 6 that was right next to it. I heard another guest complain that their room was very dirty and smelled. Our room was OK. It had a small kitchenette, and the beds were clean. The biggest downside was that it's right next to the highway, and there is a lot of road noise from the cars passing by.

Succinctly, everything was absolutely awful: 1. There was no door threshold, which created a 1"+ gap between bottom of door and door frame, which both allowed bugs and hot San Antonio air into the room. 2. Given lack of proper infrastructure, when it rained, it flooded the room b/c of such, wherein I had to be transferred to a different room 2 doors down the hallway, whereby it too was both semi-flooded due to same circumstances and had such an antiquated A/C system, that it would allow for cold air. 3. The sink was completely clogged and the appropirate parts of the faucet had no effect on raising/lowering the base "stopper", and thus a disgusting pool of water after having shaved and brush teeth would simply remain, even overnight. 4. There was a giant leak at the joint where the shower head connects, which sprayed water over the shower curtain/rod and floods the toilet & floor beyond belief. 5. Toilet seat was detached, and thus I had to repair it myself, especially as the managers/owners decided to cut back on expenses and stopped all plugged-in phone service. In fact, none were plugged in, and thus there was no connection to anything. As such, for anything (complaints, etc.) needed from/to be rela management, you had to walk to polar opposite side to get to office. 6. I was effictively harassed when manager would come with housekeeping to try to learn what it was that I was doing (computer work). 7. Part of shower ceiling collasped on me while showering.

Property was ok. The walls were thin and we could hear everything in the adjacent room. But not bad. The staff were very nice.

We had to be moved to a different room because the first one had a broken ac, the restroom was missing the door, beds were not mde, there was equipment and stuff everywhere looked more like it was used for storage. Kept the photos i had to show the front desk.

The bed hard lumpy and uncomfortable. The refrigerator leaked. And the air conditioner did not work.

Toilet seat falling apart, Heater unit is so loud i couldnt sleep and had to turn it off on the coldest night of the year. I can feel the cold air coming through the door because of a big space between the door and the frame. The curtain doesn’t quite block the bright lights outside. I only picked this because it was the closest to my doctors building. Chalk it up to experience.

Although I arrived after midnight, the staff was very accommodating. Both at check in and at check out. Room was perfect, clean and the location was perfect.

Arrived late 11 pm because of work. Tv nonfunctional called front desk she said ‘ remote not working’ . I offered to go get one : she said “don’t have any”. Also one small towel for 2 people . I have stayed here before for $60/ night. Now price $137/ night . Not worth that amount.

They changed me 3time for my room witch i already paid for aweek before my travel then i got there at 5 am my check in time was 5:30 am they did not give me my room till 12 pm my room had roches and bugs i would like it if yall could give me back what you changed me ty im as not happy

I made a reservation with hotels.com for the studio 6. I had previously stayed at this property and found it acceptable for my needs. However this time I arrived to check in and they could not find my reservation. They were not helpful at all. Hotels.com even contacted the property and tried to resolve this issue. The lady at the property refused to help and this went on for 2 hours until 5am by which time I was exhausted. Thankfully the hotels.com lady found another property to take me and I was able to sleep a few (very few) hours. Studio 6 experience was absolutely abhorrent.

The room was clean. I found things here and there that could have been cleaner but they didn't effect my stay. The bed was comfortable. I appreciate having a refrigerator with a freezer. The staff were very accommodating with my sleep schedule. I slept mostly during the day. I was able to hook up my Roku to the TV and watch movies that way.

I was waiting 30 minutes outside ringing the bell and calling. There was no worker until she came out of another room upstairs and finally attended and checked me in.

The staff is very helpful and are willing to provide you with any additional information that may be helpful for you to take advantage.

Our room was broken into within less than a day of our stay. Strangers going through our belongings while we were away from the motel we caught them running away when we get back to our room. When we reported it to the receptionist upon our return, they said they would check the security cameras, but it turns out the cameras only provide live video with no recording. Thirty minutes after, we witnessed two individuals attempting to enter multiple rooms on the property. Despite our requests, the front desk claimed they couldn't take action and refused to refund us for the night we didn't stay. They kept giving us the runaround, insisting they needed to speak to the manager who was unreachable for two days. We haven't received any updates and feel they're not making any effort to assist us.

Perfect location as we were headed for the Eclipse further west the next day!! Very clean, convenient, and safe!!

The hotel room was clean and spacious however the property looked like it had prostitution going on .

The property is located in kind of a sketchy area but overall is safe and clean. There is a McDonald located right next to it and an HEB on the other side of the highway. The front desk last at check in was very sweet and kind and overall had a great experience! The room was clean and looked great for the price!

The property is old and does not have easy access or egress but it was clean, reasonably priced and close to food sources.

The facility is clean, accesible and the staff is kind and helpful. Near to the medical center.

No coffee. Dirty and run-down. Below average even for motel 6. Bed was good

I thought that with the change of name from Motel 6 to Studio 6 that perhaps it might be a bit better. This was not the case. There as no soap, no shampoo, no hangers, no coffee in the room. I asked for and received soap and hangers. My main complaint was the TV. There was some satellite service that was difficult to navigate. And when I was able to find a channel, it seldom stayed on for more than 10 minutes before drifting off. Local TV was uunavailable.

Freshly painted rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, frdge gets nice and cold, microwave worked good. 7 min drive to hospital, many restaurants to choose from close by. Only thing i would add is maybe a coffee maker in the room!
