Magnífica casa de campo de piedra seca en el centro de Gordes (Luberon)

We stayed in this lovely villa as a group made up of two families with 5 young children (6 months to 5 years). Our main drivers for selecting the villa were location and a secure pool with children. The location did not disappoint, a short walk to the centre of Gordes allowing for daily croissant runs and enjoying the weekly market! The pool area is beautiful and well maintained as are the extensive gardens. The photos of the interior of the villa do not do it justice. The owners have a beautiful collection of antiques and belongings. The a/c in the bedrooms is helpful and the rest of the house is naturally cool. The multiple terraces offered lovely places to sit, our favourite being under the grapevines. We would happily return!

The location of the property is fabulous - just. few minutes walk to the centre of the town - it’s not a smooth one, so you do need to watch your step on the stoney path but it was no issue for our family. The house is gorgeous and is full to the brim of incredible artwork, trinkets, vintage furniture and amazing literature. It is well maintained on the whole and we were happy with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and bedrooms. The pool is gorgeous too. But do take or buy floats/toys for the pool if you have children with you. Lots of outdoor seating options - we ate/sat outside every day. Lots of grass/green space for children to run around and explore too. Kitchen is extremely well equipped which we thought was brilliant. Great facilities to wash/dry clothing/towels too. It felt like a home away from home with the most incredible views in the most spectacular town. We loved every moment of staying at Mas Des Papillons and all adults said they would stay again. Un très joli grand mas provençal, très bien situé, sans vis à vis, avec un accès direct au village par un petit chemin. L'intérieur très bien décoré dans un style provençal de qualité beaucoup d'espace, appréciable lorsqu'on est nombreux, l'extérieur charmant, beau jardin avec plusieurs terrasses où l'on peut se reposer ou prendre l'apéro, ou lire tranquillement. Beau jardin, avec des oliviers, des lauriers roses, lavandes, cyprès .etc .. qui donnent un ensemble agréable, apaisant et parfumé. La piscine un peu en contre-bas que l'on rejoint par un escalier de pierres est super agréable, et assez vaste. Dans cette maison et dans ce jardin, où que vous posiez votre regard, c'est beau. Cuisine très bien équipée, il y a tout ! Chambres confortables et toutes climatisées. Très bon séjour, très bon accueil. Top!

Propriété exceptionnelle, très agréable à vivre. Grand jardin arboré et piscine avec accès sécurisée pour les enfants. Village à 5 min à pied.

We enjoyed an amazing stay at the Mas des Papillons in Gordes. The house and property are even more beautiful than described and in the photos. Our group of two families, 10 people, were comfortably and spaciously accommodated in the home. The kitchen was perfectly organized and equipped for many shared meals made from our daily purchases at the local markets. The beautiful gardens and pool made for nice, relaxing afternoons and evenings. Cédric, our host from serenity rentals, was attentive to our every need. We look forward to returning.
