Great overnight choice. No fuss check in, room neat, tidy and clean, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery & cutlery supplied. Bathroom was excellent size, looks recently renovated. Plenty of room for toiletries etc Adjoining pub was great, its the oldest continually licensed pub in Australia. Meals were good, place was quite busy when we were there. Be aware it is part of a hotel that has music Fri & Sat nights, so if you are looking for somewhere quiet this is probably not for you.

Clean and comfortable, but somewhat dated. Check-in was quick & easy. Car parking was a hassle as there are more rooms than car-parks and we didn't arrive until later in the afternoon. Being a Friday night, the Pub was very busy, but we still managed to find a table for 2 in the decked beer-garden area, service and meals were very good.

Has massive potential but sadly lacks a good cleaner. The Bed was great but the other menities were not up to standard. dirty, not working very well. No milk to even make a coffee in the room. found a left over hale eatrn roll behind the fridge that I had to move to use the power points.

For being Victoria's oldest licensed hotel at almost 200 years old, it's held up extremely well. Pros: Reasonably priced per night, staff were very friendly, walkable to town centre with many unique shops close by. Food in the restaurant was the usual pub fare, however, be careful when ordering the chicken parma. They were MASSIVE. They could easily be shared by two. Even nearby tables were laughing at how big they were. Cons: Bathrooms are odd. Tiny. The shower stall was sunken about 4 inches (10 cm) below ground/grade. We have no idea why, but an accident waiting to happen getting in and out of. Easy to trip and fall if not looking. The shower head was also very low. One of average height would need to bend down to get under it. Otherwise, a lovely stay at this hotel.

Room had been nicely updated & was very clean & comfortable. Great value for money & well located, close to the shops. The downside is definitely the hot water service, which is extremely difficult to regulate & after running the hot water without any cold for approximately 5 mins in an attempt to get some hot water, it came through boiling hot very suddenly & scalded me.

Very small room for the family of 2A and 2C, hardly any space to move around. Only good if you want to sleep and spend the day out. Microwave oven a very basic necessity isn't provided. Wifi wasn't working, we had to use Google Tv from phone hotspot to keep kids entertained. Before booking and post booking called them a few times and left voice and text msg but no response.

This was a good and convenient lodge attached to a pub next door. Note that the reception closes by 10pm, so make sure you get in early if you're driving! The staff was also friendly and helpful with suggestions for the town.

Check-in via the pub is odd especially when it's busy. Fortunately we were there on a Sunday so closing time was 10pm. Had it been a saturday I can imagine the area would be noisy. Being in the room right next to the garden was fine for us. Room was good for one night.

We loved our stay at the Caledonian Inn. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet - had all that we needed. Off street parking. Walking distance to shops and restaurants - but the food at the Caledonian Inn itself was fabulous. We recommend the pub and the accommodation - and will definitely visit again!

The Caledonian was clean and check in was easy. It was in walking distance to our restaurant at night and cafe for breakfast in the morning. The staff were efficient and friendly. Thank you.

Rooms have clearly been refurbed, but it’s almost like they ran out of money half way through… original sinks stay, no usbs by the bed, etc. Comfy place the night though, although I would say avoid eating in the attached pub… this was my lamb roast dinner… nope not a child’s portion but the one they served me. Ironically saw a locals roast go out to him and the plate was full. Clearly not valuing guests… Couldn't be bothered to argue in a busy pub, so walked to the nearby BP service station and got something to fill me up!

Ironically saw a locals roast go out to him and the plate was full. Clearly not valuing guests… Couldn't be bothered to argue in a busy pub, so walked to the nearby BP service station and got something to fill me up!

This property has a lovely character, amenities were excellent. Meal in the attached pub was delicious and super filling. Ultimate a great room and a great location.

Great overnight choice. No fuss check in, room neat, tidy and clean, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery & cutlery supplied. Bathroom was excellent size, looks recently renovated. Plenty of room for toiletries etc Adjoining pub was great, its the oldest continually licensed pub in Australia. Meals were good, place was quite busy when we were there. Be aware it is part of a hotel that has music Fri & Sat nights, so if you are looking for somewhere quiet this is probably not for you.

This place was a very nice surprise and much better than my expectations. Importantly, the bed was very comfortable with good pillow selection and the food at the pub attached was also excellent. The room was simple but had been refurbised so it was very well set up and included everything I needed for my stay. I've tagged this place as my preferred accom next time I'm in Port Fairy.

Great location. The room was delightful, very clean. TV choices were great and worked well. Bathroom was cold but we left the door open (when we weren't using it) with the heater on in our room and it warmed up. Only problem was the light in the bathroom turned on the fan as well, which was really noisy and cold. Would have been great on separate switches.

Located right next to the pub and with another place across the street. It was a cold wet day/night, yet the room warm, clean, and very convenient to everything we needed. Good value and very nice, hospitable, helpful staff.
