Staff (and Omani people in general) were extremely friendly. Great pool area. Would be good if hotel had a more visible policy regarding towel reservations of sunbeds without people using these. Breakfast okay, but as almost always at hotels I found that there were far too many sweet things for breakfast. Would have preferred more and a larger variety of fruit. The hotel is mainly for Eastern European and Italian all inclusive charter guests. Not really any restaurants nearby, except for a few in the Grand Mall less than 10 min. walk from hotel. It was easy to pass the big road on the way to the mall. Did not try the restaurant at top of hotel, but paid extra some days to have the buffet dinner at the hotel which was fine at a reasonable price. Will recommend room with balcony overlooking pool. Room was nice but a bit worn, especially the wooden panels along the floor in the bathroom. Sufficient electric sockets and nice with the usb plugs on the back of the little clock on the night table. Could have used more English spoken television programmes, especially when there is not much to do in the evenings. The women’s restroom area at the poolside a little dark and spooky. Otherwise pool area with the lazy river around the pool was 5 star and the room 4 star. Nice with shuttle bus to hotel’s own sandy beach area which was very fine. All in all a very pleasant stay.

For a resort that’s listed as a premium property it was overall disappointing. Room service staff and food was just terrible. Staff unable to take orders or get them right. Appreciate that English is not the language in this country but the non-local staff should be trained in English as that was the main way to communicate. We had to return our food a few times and the staff were visibly irritated and rude when we sent it back. Even after paying for a late checkout we had multiple phone calls to the room during the asking when we were going to leave and if we were ready to leave. Rooms had lukewarm water and when I asked the staff they said that’s as good as it gets. The actual Restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. There were a number of the front desk staff that were also very helpful. Rooms were big and beds comfortable. Paying the amount we did for this place I would expect a much higher standard of service and ability to communicate with guests.
