Far West Motel

I had the room reserved for 2 nights. I took most of my stuff with me to work after the first night and when I came back, I couldn't get into the room. The hotel had cleaned out all my stuff and changed the code on the door because "I hadn't left enough stuff." I didn't lose anything important, but what kind of motel does this on a multi-night stay.

We enjoyed our stay, the receptionist was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Great parking. Easy access to the rest of the town and area. I would definitely stay here again.

It has everything you need. Clean, safe, easy parking. If you're looking for frills, Forks is not the town.

There was a vending machine out side of the room wall. It was very noisy during night time.

Unfortunately it was pretty mediocre. The receptionist was incredibly kind, but everything else wasn't great. The shower was creaky and instead of tile or plastic.. it was lined with linoleum for some reason. The door to the outside was not fully sealed so the room was freezing. The laundry was decent but way expensive. $2 for a load of laundry and $2 for only 16 minutes in the dryer that leaves them wet. I understand things happen, but the tv was out on top of everything else, while the internet barely worked and the cell service also wasn't great. For $230 a night, I dont think it's worth it.

If you just need a bed & shower, this place will work, but it was not a nice room or atmosphere! It is a tiny old motel. The room had old furnishings, it seemed clean, but had a bad strong odor when we entered the room...we had to leave the door open to let it air out some. TV didn't work, no ice machine, office closed at 9 pm. No food on site, but gas station across street. It was VERY noisy in the morning when the trash company was exchanging roll-off dumpsters right behind our room at 7am. My suggestion...look elsewhere!

Overall, decent hotel. Very convenient for the forks area and Olympic Ntl. Room was small but comfortable bed, clean, and hot water. Older motel, needs some work, especially in bathroom. It was clean but had mold in seams of shower.

There’s not a lot of places to stay in Forks, but this one was extremely clean and had everything we needed for the two nights we were there. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it surprised us with how clean it was. management was extremely understanding when we couldn’t get to forks until after 10 PM and they left us a combination to get into the lock box so that we could get into our room. Communication was excellent. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the Forks area.

The room looked clean on 1st look. After being there awhile we noticed cobwebs. Also, there was no hot water to take a shower. Notified the owner but he said he would check with other tenants and check and get back to us and never did. Also, Very limited office hours, bed was rock hard and no Ice

The overpriced room was clean but bathroom had disgusting mold growing on the wall and in the shower. Also, the room adjacent kept slamming shut and waking everyone up.

Room was small, but VERY clean and updated. Nice flooring, AC unit worked great. Bed was firm, but mostly comfortable. It was a quiet motel, didn't hear noise from other rooms. Seems expensive for the size of the motel/room, but it was summer rates and they were full, so I get it.

Room was clean. Person that checked us in was nice and very fast!

Our room was SPOTLESS! Kudos to housekeeping 😊 We will stay again when we visit Forks.

I have been traveling for over 40 years, and I’ve never stayed in a place that offered worse value for your money. There was mold in the bathtub, the windows were disgusting and look like they haven’t been cleaned since 1956. The stairway leading up to the room was filthy and included spiderwebs. The room did not come with a box of tissues, and it’s the only place I’ve ever stayed in which did not have a mirror hanging outside the bathroom. All of this for $236. The icing on the cake was no TV service. Unfortunately, we didn’t have many other choices for lodging as there was a festival going on. If you find yourself in this predicament, you’re better off sleeping in your car rather than staying in this dump.

The staff members were friendly. The rooms were clean but needed some updating in the bathrooms. The TV did not work, we were not alerted to this and there was no solution. The Wi-Fi was also not great. It was conveniently located.

The rooms were extremely small a little closterphobic like. But very clean and the people were nice.

Decent roadside hotel. Clean, good parking area. Bathroom was small and no ventilation. AC unit was loud. Otherwise a completely adequate stay for one night traveling through Olympic National Park.

This was the perfect spot for our 1 night stay in Forks, while we took a break from traveling around Olympic National Park. The bed was comfy and the room was cozy.

Rooms are very small. The bathroom was so small your knees can touch the wall in front. The sink had no counter space. They have to send you an email in order to use an online payment system. The TVs wouldn't work. All of this for $195 for one night.

Hotel ran out of hot water halfway through bathing. Wifi was spotty. No air fan for bathroom so whole place was cold. Hard to control temperature because heater only had 1 setting. Heater was extremely blasting hot air or we turn off and place became very cold. Toilet placed at wrong place as too close to sink so it gets wet when someone uses the sink. Room had no table. Small table would be good for us to have some place to put our things. 1 side of our room had a missing light so that made our room very dark. Sink countertop too small that we had no place to put our toiletries. For the price we paid, guests should get a room size and quality of room proportional to the price we paid. All we can say is that bed and pillows were comfortable.

The room was really small. If I was traveling solo it would have been okay. The bathroom was so tiny making it almost impossible to get ready. No counter space at all in the bathroom.

Great location, within the walking distance of a lot, rooms are clean, comfy beds, good channels, rooms safe just terribly cold and hard to warm up.

Decent motel for a one night stay! The room was small and mostly clean, but not as clean as I would prefer (cracks in shower did not look clean). It was right next to the road, so we heard traffic all night. Pretty average experience.

Conveniently located in the middle of town. Walkable distance to restaurants, shops, and more. The woman at the front desk told us about a local event, we went and had an amazing time.

There was a note about patience with them because of satellite issues, but reviews from months ago mentioned the same issues. $180 for no TV, ice machine or other basic amenities

Tv didn’t work and when we asked about it, the rep said they were working on figuring out direct tv. No apology or discount.

DO NOT do late check-in at this property!!! I couldn’t get into my room and had to drive an hour away at 1 AM to find somewhere to sleep. I called ahead per the instructions to let them know I would be arriving after office hours, and they sent me instructions for a smartphone app to use to unlock the door. I downloaded the app and it seemed like it was working, but when I arrived at the motel that night our door recognized the app but flashed red and wouldn’t let us in. We tried extensively to contact them but they didn’t give us an after-hours or emergency number, nor was there one posted at the motel, or even at what I think is their sister property across town (which the sign on their door recommended calling). We wasted about half an hour trying the door, calling them, and trying the few other motels in town, but everyone was either closed or booked up, and we had to backtrack an hour to Port Angeles to find a chain hotel that was open and had a room. The only positive thing I have to say is that they were quick to refund me when I called the next day. Maybe this was just a fluke, but it was one that was avoidable with better processes and safeguards, and it cost me a significantly pricier hotel room and hours of driving at the end of an already long day. In short, if you stay here, don’t risk this experience. Call ahead first to insist on an after-hours number in case you’re delayed and do not under any circumstances rely on their app to get into your room.

Nice staff

This motel lost our reservation. Even though we arrived right on time with our Expedia confirmation in hand, they did not have a room for us. Luckily, Forks Motel down the road was accommodating, cheaper and had better ammenities like a pool. Avoid Far West and stay elsewhere in town!

Good location for the night in Folks

Great lottle hotel in a great local to Olympic National Park

We stayed at this hotel as we vacationed at Olympic National Park. Room on smaller size, but very clean. There were good eating choices in the town.

Very nice and well kept, and the price was good. Right in Forks, which puts you close to all the natural wonders of Northwest Washington. Highly recommend.

Checked in late. Convenient and walking distance to town’s stores.

The location is perfect for those who want to visit the park and have food and gas station nearby. However, I don't think the heating is good enough for winter.

National Park near by.

The motel was adorable. Cozy and comfortable. Olympic Natl park is nearby. As well as beautiful beaches all within an hour or less. There are restaurants and a coffee shop just down the street from the motel. It was perfect for what we needed.

Ok for a quick stay.

Drove in late at night and don’t expect to find a decent motel. It was a toss between two hotels and we chose right! The hotel was quaint and small but just right for my daughter and I. The night clerk was fantastic by coming out to meet and check us in as I don’t think they have a 24 hour clerk on duty. No breakfast but mini coffee bar set up and many other options around town. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was small and tub kept clogging which was desirable. Heater and tv worked fine. I would recommend this place for a quick rest .

Nice small room close to beaches and Olympic National Park. Rooms are small but we didn’t come to Forks to sit in a room. Great location for enjoying the outdoors. Close to several dining options in town.

Nice location if you want to visit surrounding hiking trails and or ocean beaches, quiet town with good food

The Far West Motel is a quaint property with clean rooms. It's nothing fancy, but the key is its clean and well maintained. Hotel check-in staff is available after 2:00 and they were extremely friendly and helpful. The town has limited dining options. We ate at Sully's Burger's across the street for lunch which was good. There is a drive-up coffee place directly across the street and a grocery store at the end of town. We ate Mexican food at a very little place called Taqueria San Juditas and the food was ok with good service. Overall, for a quick overnight stay this place works well.

Clean and easy for where we wanted to explore in Forks as a twilight fan. I do think additional mirror in room would be good because bathroom is snug. I would also recommend adding additional latch type lock to feel safer. We asked for extra towels because we knew would be going out very early and lady at desk was awesome, she went right then and there to get them. Cute small motel but felt safe and very clean. They gave us a very complete list of eating options including time and if they had wifi .
