The Strand Hotel, the former residence of Oscar Wilde

Das Zimmer war schon sehr eng und mit 2 Personen muss man gut navigieren. Der Strom.im Bad hat uns auf die Probe gestellt, trotz der 2 Karten für den Stromschlitz hat sich das Licht nach kurzer Zeit entschieden aus zu gehen, blöd wenn man gerade auf der Toilette sitzt.....Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

The room was very cold from check in 4pm until I went to tell the receptionist to turn on the heater after 10pm and almost can’t feel the heat by even touching the radiator set at max level. The heater last only 30 minutes then stop for a whole night, and I was woken up from a chilling bed around 2am. I caught a cold and sneezed in the morning. Got no relaxation but kept distracted by the warning up my body! What a worse terrible night suffering the strong smell of masala filled in the hallway and the room. The towel’s smell like mold and not clean.

The gastropub had a huge selection of meals. Good atmosphere.

Great location with beautiful views of the water!

The staff were really helpful. Made my husband and I feel very welcome. We eat most of our meals in the restaurant and the food was excellent. We will be going back in the future.
