Parking was a challenge but we found off site parking. The restaurant was good and the location was gorgeous. Be aware you have to pay for early check in.

Of the 10 lodgings we stayed at in Ireland, this was the most unpleasant hotel we have ever stayed at. 1Advertised self parking came with a 10 Euro fee if available in their 6 car lot. 2.$200 deposit in the event we destroyed the room was never mentioned in hotel description 3. No lift to our upper floor room. 4 Television didn’t work and no help forthcoming from the desk. 5.Charm was a misnomer and Oscar Wild would be embarrassed. 6. Water view if you’re lucky to have one included looking past a storage area for garbage bins and other trash. 7. Restaurant was seriously sub standard. 8 The mattress was thin, cheap and uncomfortable. 9. Overpriced for the substandard fare. Save your money. Oscar Wilde would.

The only thing that might be a problem for some people was the fact that there were a lot of narrow stairs. Otherwise we had a very nice stay. Very friendly people.

The hotel is charming, and right on the water. Perfect to get up early and go walk the shoreline. The coffee is the small shop is EXCELLENT, as was some of the cake/pastry we sampled. The small deck off the coffee shop is beautiful and overlooking the water. Also, there is a train right by the hotel that goes directly into Dublin. Perfect to avoid driving!!! The only two downsides: 1) It was a party atmosphere outside late night. If you want to sleep early, it can be difficult. 2) We tried to get into our room a little early, and the hotel could not accommodate us. Conversely, they asked that we actually wait longer than checkin time.

The location was decent, but there were issues. The towel warmer in the bathroom was dripping water on the floor, which wasn't a huge issue. The biggest problem was the noise. On the first night we heard what sounded like someone moving furniture for hours above us. The second night, in addition to the furniture moving noises, there was loud dance music being played, I think at the restaurant on the property (we didn'tleaveour room to investigate). We barely got any sleep. Had we known that the place turned into a club on Friday nights, we wouldn't have booked.

Lovely hotel with èxcellent views. Restaurant had an excellent choice of food and drinks. Parking can be a bit tricky with limited space £10 for 24hrs if staying at the hotel.

Could be a good hotel. But they seem to lack attention to detail for the property. Hot water went out in the evening, they said it would be back on in 15 minutes. After 30 I went back down and they said we only asked 5-10 minutes ago. After an hour (now 10pm) it was only luke warm. The bed fitted sheet had a medium sized hole in it. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Heard another guest complaining of the same in the morning. Not the best experience.

When booking the breakfast add-on raised the cost by £114?!? Im sure that was a technical error but not one i was going to fight. The room was clean but very warm. The TV is also only internet TV so No personal subscriptions-No TV. Not ideal.

We stayed in a different room and this second visit was not as good as the first one. The hotel was understaffed with no 24-hour reception, and we needed to wait and look for the staff in the bar or restaurants more than once. The café with the terrace and nice view to the sea was not open this time. A real pity. The condition of the rooms was OK, but some of the lights, curtains, and windows required a little maintenance. Nothing terrible, but we were expecting something better for that money. The bed was a different story and we were more disappointed with. We are tall people by Irish or European standards, but the length of my bodies hardly fit in the small bed. Similarly, the toilet was small and not very comfortable. I understand that price is relative to demand, but we may consider staying in Dublin and avoid staying in Bray for that price and quality of this hotel room.

Possibly the most unwelcoming check in I’ve ever had! After 12 hrs of travelling to get there the check in was laborious, unfriendly and inefficient. We chose the place as we had an interest in Oscar Wilde…….. I doubt if any of the staff had heard of him or even cared about the history of the place. Information had to be extracted about hotel facilities. Breakfast didn’t start until 8!and we needed an early start each day. Parking at the hotel cost more for residents than if we parked on the road outside!

Small room, but all we needed. Newly decorated and comfortable, sea visable from the window. Bar and restaurant attached next-door, accessible via the hotel, perfect when raining. Staff all very friendly.

Such an amazing place to stay, right next to the ocean with a bunch of dining options. Would absolutely book with them again.

The hotel is charming, and right on the water. Perfect to get up early and go walk the shoreline. The coffee is the small shop is EXCELLENT, as was some of the cake/pastry we sampled. The small deck off the coffee shop is beautiful and overlooking the water. Also, there is a train right by the hotel that goes directly into Dublin. Perfect to avoid driving!!! The only two downsides: 1) It was a party atmosphere outside late night. If you want to sleep early, it can be difficult. 2) We tried to get into our room a little early, and the hotel could not accommodate us. Conversely, they asked that we actually wait longer than checkin time.

This hotel holds all that is charming about the era in which it was built in combination with fully modernized lighting, plumbing, and mattress. We are SO impressed with the kindness and gracious welcome of all the staff here. Our room was on the top floor with a small window looking out on the ocean; perfect! We slept really well. The water pressure was fantastic in the shower. We had dinner in the Curry Leaf restaurant downstairs; delicious! Breakfast was just right; lots of options. We HIGHLY recommend this place.

Of the 10 lodgings we stayed at in Ireland, this was the most unpleasant hotel we have ever stayed at. 1Advertised self parking came with a 10 Euro fee if available in their 6 car lot. 2.$200 deposit in the event we destroyed the room was never mentioned in hotel description 3. No lift to our upper floor room. 4 Television didn’t work and no help forthcoming from the desk. 5.Charm was a misnomer and Oscar Wild would be embarrassed. 6. Water view if you’re lucky to have one included looking past a storage area for garbage bins and other trash. 7. Restaurant was seriously sub standard. 8 The mattress was thin, cheap and uncomfortable. 9. Overpriced for the substandard fare. Save your money. Oscar Wilde would.

Possibly the most unwelcoming check in I’ve ever had! After 12 hrs of travelling to get there the check in was laborious, unfriendly and inefficient. We chose the place as we had an interest in Oscar Wilde…….. I doubt if any of the staff had heard of him or even cared about the history of the place. From check in to check out, everything was wonderful. Great little town, great establishment and fantastic staff! Best cappuccino I’ve ever had as well. Dinner was good at Wilde’s and the wait staff was phenomenal!

This property is beautiful, historic, and run by exceptionally professional and helpful people. Although the boardwalk it sits on was buzzing with music and activity much later than anticipated, we couldn't hear it from the room and had a fantastic night's sleep in Room 1, the Picture of Dorian Gray.

Staff were great. Room was clean but sometimes there was no hot water and The staff had to turn on a pump. There was no receptionist so they wanted people to enter and exit through the pub which was awkward at night with teenagers clubbing. The music went late and there were up keep aspects of an old home needed.

The room was very cold from check in 4pm until I went to tell the receptionist to turn on the heater after 10pm and almost can’t feel the heat by even touching the radiator set at max level. The heater last only 30 minutes then stop for a whole night, and I was woken up from a chilling bed around 2am. I caught a cold and sneezed in the morning. Got no relaxation but kept distracted by the warning up my body! What a worse terrible night suffering the strong smell of masala filled in the hallway and the room. The towel’s smell like mold and not clean.
