The staff are friendly and check in was easy. Our room was two floors down from main floor and no elevator. So a real pain to carry luggage down two flights of stairs. The breakfast was grab and go back to your room so again, hard to carry to the room and it was a long walk so the only hot item they had (waffle) was cold when we got back to the room. The room was dated and could use a remodel. Skip the decorative pillows on the bed, no one wants these on the bed when they are sleeping, the decorative covers are not washed per each visit so not clean.

The suite we stayed in was on the lower level with no elevator. We had to go down 3 sets of steps totaling 32 steps. As an older couple it was difficult to bring our luggage and other items down the steps and then back up when leaving. The breakfast was minimal and you had to put on a tray and bring it back to your room. Ridiculous!!!

Check in and check out were quick and easy. Staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I was unable to use the hit tub in my room because after I filled it, i noticed a lot of floatong debri and hair. When i went to shower, the shower was full of hair.

When first entering the room, it appears fine. It is large and clean, a bit dated. The jetted tub near the bed gives it a bit of an 80’s vibe and there are a lot of throw pillows, but it looks good. However, open the curtains and you see that the balcony is literally situated over the highway. It was super noisy and the bed wa uncomfortable. We didn’t sleep much. The bathtub also had terrible a “repair”.

The room and view was absolutely gorgeous. The bed and furniture so comfy, the location to town for shopping and eating was perfect, and the hotel was super clean and employees were so kind and friendly. The main reason for the downgrade to good from excellent was that the rooms connecting were very loud. Every time the tub water ran or someone took a shower (10:30 p.m.), flushed a toilet or even walked (2 a.m.), we heard it all. It was a Tuesday night (not a weekend night). Not very quiet or restful in our opinion.

Checking in was a breeze and Danielle at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. We are in town for a swim meet and the location near restaurants and a short drive to the high school pool are very nice. We would stay here again.

There was a mistake on their end and when I got there, they informed me that they didn’t have the room and they were switching me to one without the whirlpool. This was the reason I booked at this hotel but, they said because I booked on hotels.com, they couldn’t upgrade me. We went to the room and they called and said they actually could upgrade our room. Back to the lobby we go. The room we got was nice but the hassle was disappointing. Even more so because nobody called me ahead of time to figure it out.

The Pointe was amazing. We happened to make a last minute decision to come to Minocqua and after some research we decided to stay here it was afforable and had a great lay out of rooms. Upon checking in with Danielle she was friendly and very helpful and gave us great detail instructions. We got to our room and it was emaculant clean and beds were comfortable and honestly had everything we needed for a long weekend. The walls are a little thin but with overall experience it can be overlooked. They do offer a continental breakfast, but we were enjoying what the area had to offer and didnt get to try it. We will definitely plan to stay again !

Our check in Christmas Eve was perfect! we arrived later after our family christmas @ around 11:30. She was super pleasant and made sure we knew where everything was and all the amenities available. Our Check out, however, was less than pleasant. Don't get me wrong, i understand working on Christmas Day isn't what one really wants to do but you are so, how about making the best of it. We asked if we could pay cash instead of leaving the bill on our credit card and instead of explaining in a friendly manner that since we booked through Orbitz we had to leave it on the credit card we booked it under, she was pretty much rude. i then asked if i could get a reciept, and again instead of choosing some customer friendly words to explain that wasn't possible either, she was rude! either way, your hotel was being compensated so she didn't do your hotel any favors with her rudeness. We loved your hotel and will stay there again but this soured our Christmas a bit!

We asked if we could pay cash instead of leaving the bill on our credit card and instead of explaining in a friendly manner that since we booked through Orbitz we had to leave it on the credit card we booked it under, she was pretty much rude. i then asked if i could get a reciept, and again instead of choosing some customer friendly words to explain that wasn't possible either, she was rude! either way, your hotel was being compensated so she didn't do your hotel any favors with her rudeness. We loved your hotel and will stay there again but this soured our Christmas a bit!

I recommend staying at here if you travel to Minocqua. It’s right in town so you are close to everything. The rooms are clean & comfortable (king size bed!) with a full kitchen. Every morning there was a breakfast provided. We got lucky and had our own private patio that looked out onto the water with an amazing view. Overall, next time we come to town, we will be re-booking here! :)

Very expensive for what you get. Room smelled musty and every time we wanted to take a shower there was no hot water. Totally unacceptable for the large price. Couldn't leave the patio doors open because the noise of the traffic and the bar across the street.

I selected this hotel for what I thought would be a quiet, relaxing stay. It turned out our room was perched above the busy highway and too noisy to enjoy. The view was acceptable, but the noise was irritating. Request a room away from the highway if you’re looking for a peaceful stay!

The people were great. It could use some updating especially for the high cost of a stay. The breakfast options were minimal especially for guests with dietary restrictions. The only options were packaged muffins and waffles. It would be nice to have an ice machine on the property as well. I liked the balcony and the beds were very comfy.

We liked everything but the free breakfast. Since it was included, its hard to be to critical. No proteins only carbs. Very few choices. Not typical for places offering a meal. Otherwise everything was great. Since our stay wasnt about breakfast, it was very good.

I come to the Minocqua area 4x year for work. I have found this to be my favorite place to stay! I love the small apartment/condo feel. Have a small furnished kitchenette area, a dining table, a couch and chairs, electric fireplace and TV to relax, an outdoor patio, and separate bedroom. I wish they had a better breakfast other than stale bagels, muffins, toast. A hot breakfast item would put this well on top of the list compared to other hotels!

This hotel was not at all as advertised. The breakfast wasn't even a continental breakfast, and the place is not a hotel, rather a set of condos. So no ice, or basic amenities that a hotel provides. I booked based on reviews and am extremely disappointed.

Overall a nice stay, but a lower score due to issues beyond their control. On our second night the internet and television went out, and they said that it would be repaired later that evening but it wasn't even back by checkout the next day. The complimentary breakfast was also very basic with just prepackaged items except the waffles. But even with this, on the final morning there were not even any prepackaged boiled eggs, so basically very little for any decent protein. The answer for no eggs was that Sysco was out of them. The other issue is that we were on the lower level and just the walking of the people in the room above us sounded like a heard of elephants.

Loved the balcony view, size of room & decor. Breakfast was great, but didn’t like having to bring it back to our room to eat. Waffles got cold walking to room & had to balance access card with tray of food.

It was very clean and the deck was very private with 2 comfortable chairs and a beautiful lake view. The furniture and the bed were all comfortable, and we enjoyed the hot tub. We enjoyed getting our breakfast and eating it in our room. We didn't use the kitchen too much because we were only there 2 nights, but it was very nice and had everything needed for fixing some simple meals.
