Just a terrific stay! Bar and restaurant were nice and staff were exceptional, especially Charlotte! Room was nice and bathroom was beautiful. Backed onto an old church and cemetery.

Found this little gem when planning a stay to visit Hadrians Wall and Vindolanda. We had a very clean, newly decorated ‘suite’ which was very comfortable. (An extra easy chair would have been nice but that’s the only thing). Friendly helpful check in. We had a lovely dinner in front of the stove which was great value. Breakfast and checkout were served by a lovely friendly lady. My husband loved the Northumbrian breakfast and the bacon waffles were yummy.

We stayed at the Greenhead as part of our Hadrians Wall walk. Could not have found a better hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. A big shout out to Dan the lovely bartender.

This was my first stay here and was a last minute booking. I wasn’t expecting too much and although it was a very quiet night, the team were friendly and welcoming throughout. The food was delicious, room was warm and spotless and as I had to leave early before breakfast, the chef made me up a packed lunch (which I didn’t expect) to go which was superb! Thank you

We stayed in the family room which was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal downstairs in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the following morning. Breakfast was available at 7am which was perfect for us as we were intending to head out for an early hike. The location was also great for our hike and to the sites of Hadrian’s Wall.

Greenhead Hotel was excellent! The dinner, breakfast and pack lunches were superb. The rooms had comfortable beds and lovely duvet bedding and included all the amenities. It was close to Hadrian's wall. We would highly recommend the Greenhead hotel for your stay, while in Greenhead.

Fantastic hotel great value for money. Room & food top quality. Breakfast amazing. Staff really friendly made to feel welcome. Highly recommend. Would highly recommend area for walks Hadrian’s wall Roman forts especially Vindolanda

Just a terrific stay! Bar and restaurant were nice and staff were exceptional, especially Charlotte! Room was nice and bathroom was beautiful. Backed onto an old church and cemetery.

We stayed in the family room which was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal downstairs in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the following morning. Breakfast was available at 7am which was perfect for us as we were intending to head out for an early hike. The location was also great for our hike and to the sites of Hadrian’s Wall.

Really lovely place to stay. Great room, good food ( plenty of vegetarian options), and staff were really friendly and helpful.

Loved the stay. Clean room. Fantastic dinner and breakfast. Great location within a mile of Hadrian’s Wall. Nice for hiking. Would stay at hotel again.

Staff were excellent and so helpful. Food and breakfast service was first class. The bathrrom was very modern clean and well kept. The carpet was stained and did have a little fusty smell however the overall experience and amenties were good in the room. The tea caddy table did need to be bigger was difficult to make drink on there.

Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel

Room was nice. Lovely tea and coffee facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar/Restaurant a stand out. Lovely big log burner and the food was top class and service was excellent, while reasonably priced. Taps were a bit wobbly and leaky in the en-suite and the shower head had some blocked nozzles and inconsistent pressure. This is the only small thing I could fault. It didn’t take away from the whole experience which was great - would reccomend staying here.

Stayed in the Hadrian Suite which is a beautifully designed space, very impressive. Very warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Comfortable bar area downstairs with great dining options. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc.
