Altskeith Country House

On smaller loch ard, near Loch Lomond, this hotel is off the beaten path. It’s beautiful and peaceful with amazing views of the water from every window. The hosts are so welcoming and we wish we would have planned to stay longer. They also saved us a lot of driving time by letting is know of a road closure that wasn’t on google maps. The food was good also but I can’t say enough about the hospitality.

Lovely location. The service at breakfast and dinner was very slow. The dinner option was very disappointing and overpriced, compared to other restaurants that we visited in the area. House keeping was very lacklustre, bed not made, towels not changed, coffee and water in the room not replaced.

Amazing staff, great location, perfect getaway but you won’t want to leave.

The location and views are breathtaking. Wonderful accommodation and the owners are just so friendly and helpful.
