Room for 4 adults was good in Hatfield lodge, although not much of view on it unless if you’re in Hatfield Hotel. Facilities looks new, just stone throw from the seaside, breakfast is great and resto staffs are very accomodating and friendly. There are no staff by the reception in the Lodge, therefore you have to go to the Hatfield hotel to check in and get your access card. There is only one card given to occupants so if someone wants to stay behind when you want to go out you can’t take the access card with you as it will swithed off the electric power in the room. Perhaps we never tried asking for spare access card as only stayed overnight.

Choose this place as it had parking on site, however there wasnt any available for my van when I arrived for 2 day stay. Keycard didnt work so twice I had to go to the other hotel and get it sorted. Had ground floor room which was very noisey on sat night (loads of kids in KFC carpark making a noise all night) Not great when I had to be up at 5am for work

We enjoyed our family break in this hotel. It was just what we needed, simple, clean, comfortable bedroom. We found the staff helpful and welcoming and we noticed their attention to details, for example we stayed two night and the forst night we came woth drinks and snacks and we filled up the bathroom bin with all the rubbish from the snacks so the next day when the staff cleaned the room we noticed that they had brought an extra bin and extra glasses. The only negative point we found was that there was a smell of sewage in the entrance and in the staircase of the annexe leafing to our room but thankfully there was no bad smell inside the room. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and we found it rather good value for the money especially the breakfast. The restaurant and the hotel are situated right by the beach which was brilliant and allowed us to go for walks along the beach.

The location was great, we were in the annexe. We had issues with the key cards a couple of times but it was sorted by reception staff. The room was clean but tired and in need of repair. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy.

So, first of all the English breakfast. Have to pay extra for mushrooms (how rude and hence only 4 stars for it) but a good choice of continental food, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, jams. The room (I stayed in the lodge) very clean and spacious room however the radiator didn't seem to be working although towel rail in bathroom was but there was enough space for a wheelchair. Staff are diligent and friendly (both day and night) and I advised on the faulty socket in my room. I've stayed here before and I will again.

We checked in to the family room as mentioned but noticed a smell which we initially ignored as we put the luggage down and went out to explore the place. When we returned that evening the smell had got worst so we opened the windows but after a while it became unbearable so we went to reception and informed them. The lady came with me checked it and immediately asked us to pack so we can be moved to a better room which was newer and in very good condition. She ensured we were happy before she left. However we could not find the TV remote in the room but chose not to mention as we were thankful for their service already.

Brilliant room! Perfect size for the four of us! I think the mattresses need replacing as they had big dips in and were pretty hard but apart from that everything was perfect!

Great room it just needed air conditioning as was hot and being in the ground floor next to the road we didn’t want to leave the windows open overnight. Cannot fault anything else.

Ideal location with walking distance to many things , room was warm and clean an arrival , beds comfortable . Large tv in a good position . If I was to point bad points … no hdmi port on tv , and sink very small so sprays everywhere

This ia not a room, its a coffin No window, no air con It was unbearably hot and stuffy in the room and there was no way to rectify it One of the worst nights sleep in recent memory I stayed in "the Lodge" across the road from the main hotel. Room was not great, toilet would only flush sporadically and the shower was impossible to use due to the hose having splits in it causing water to go everywhere. My autistic daughter also got locked in the bathroom as the lock got jammed. Called reception and cant fault the chap who came over to help but the attitude of his manager on the phone wasnt great, he clearly didnt care as long as he didnt have to come and help. No apologies offered or anything! Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Single bed was on wheels and my daughter woke up on the other side of the room. The double bed was like a rock and we woke up in agony. We also ate in the restaurant on the first night and waited a ridiculously long time for food which was unpleasant when it finally came. To add insult to injury the food also made us feel quite unwell that night! All in all a calamity of a stay and wont be returning and will be making a complaint

Friendly staff. Helpful, polite. Got upgraded as hotel quiet as its early in the new year. Room spacious, great shower. Could do with a splash of paint, but they are doing some work around the hotel currently.

I had booked to stay in the lodge, but wa instead given a sea view room in the main hotel. This was OK as the room was nice. But I would not have been happy if I had been given any other type of room. Breakfast on the first day. Gave them my room number and then nobody came to my table. So after 20 minutes I walked out. But Lowestoft has turned into a ghost town. Not great.

Absolutely loved our stay, we had an issue with heating in the room but was moved immediately to another room. Definitely recommend The Hatfield.

We were only there for 2 nights, but we had a lovely stay in the Lodge, customer service was excellent from front desk, bar staff to the waitress. Would definitely come and stay again

Room for 4 adults was good in Hatfield lodge, although not much of view on it unless if you’re in Hatfield Hotel. Facilities looks new, just stone throw from the seaside, breakfast is great and resto staffs are very accomodating and friendly. There are no staff by the reception in the Lodge, therefore you have to go to the Hatfield hotel to check in and get your access card. There is only one card given to occupants so if someone wants to stay behind when you want to go out you can’t take the access card with you as it will swithed off the electric power in the room. Perhaps we never tried asking for spare access card as only stayed overnight.

Choose this place as it had parking on site, however there wasnt any available for my van when I arrived for 2 day stay. Keycard didnt work so twice I had to go to the other hotel and get it sorted. Had ground floor room which was very noisey on sat night (loads of kids in KFC carpark making a noise all night) Not great when I had to be up at 5am for work

What a gem! We booked this last minute and everything from the booking process to our daily interactions with the lovely and very helpful staff at the Hatfield lodge hotel went smoothly and they were very accommodating with regards to all aspects of our stay. My children and i have allergies and their restaurant went the extra mile to ensure we all were able to enjoy our meals safely and the kids didn't miss out on dessert. Our servers Cate and Ella introduced the kids to the resident cat Freddy and made our dining experience very enjoyable by offering the kids colouring packs and just simply talking to us. The breakfast was delicious and there were lots of choices for even the pickiest of eaters. The hotel is walking distance from the beach (2 minutes from the restaurant) as well as walking distance from local shops and the high road. We will definitely be revisiting on our next trip.

We enjoyed our family break in this hotel. It was just what we needed, simple, clean, comfortable bedroom. We found the staff helpful and welcoming and we noticed their attention to details, for example we stayed two night and the forst night we came woth drinks and snacks and we filled up the bathroom bin with all the rubbish from the snacks so the next day when the staff cleaned the room we noticed that they had brought an extra bin and extra glasses. The only negative point we found was that there was a smell of sewage in the entrance and in the staircase of the annexe leafing to our room but thankfully there was no bad smell inside the room. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and we found it rather good value for the money especially the breakfast. The restaurant and the hotel are situated right by the beach which was brilliant and allowed us to go for walks along the beach.

Room was not great, toilet would only flush sporadically and the shower was impossible to use due to the hose having splits in it causing water to go everywhere. My autistic daughter also got locked in the bathroom as the lock got jammed. Called reception and cant fault the chap who came over to help but the attitude of his manager on the phone wasnt great, he clearly didnt care as long as he didnt have to come and help. No apologies offered or anything! Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Single bed was on wheels and my daughter woke up on the other side of the room. The double bed was like a rock and we woke up in agony. We also ate in the restaurant on the first night and waited a ridiculously long time for food which was unpleasant when it finally came. To add insult to injury the food also made us feel quite unwell that night! All in all a calamity of a stay and wont be returning and will be making a complaint

I had booked to stay in the lodge, but wa instead given a sea view room in the main hotel. This was OK as the room was nice. But I would not have been happy if I had been given any other type of room. Breakfast on the first day. Gave them my room number and then nobody came to my table. So after 20 minutes I walked out. But Lowestoft has turned into a ghost town. Not great.

So, first of all the English breakfast. Have to pay extra for mushrooms (how rude and hence only 4 stars for it) but a good choice of continental food, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, jams. The room (I stayed in the lodge) very clean and spacious room however the radiator didn't seem to be working although towel rail in bathroom was but there was enough space for a wheelchair. Staff are diligent and friendly (both day and night) and I advised on the faulty socket in my room. I've stayed here before and I will again.

I've stayed here a few times now over the last couple of years and , because of my disability, occasionally have to request certain things. This is why the staff , including the cleaners, get a special mention as they go above and beyond the call of duty and are multi talented especially the lovely Lisa who if isn't management or supervisory staff should be by now. Reasonable prices for food and drink - keep an eye out for the 2 for 1 cocktails - and being right on the seafront has amazing views from the terrace with plenty of seating. One little minus is The Hatfield Lodge could do with a little love on the outside due to the ripped canopy above the entrance.

A few minor gripes which would of made the stay more comfortable; No fan in the room with the temperature in the 30's, other guests did have one when I asked. No plug socket near the bed, the nearest usable one being on the far wall. No hot water in the bathroom sink, shower okay. No toilet brush?????

We really enjoyed our stay here Lovely staff, nice room (we were over the road) and lovely bar area. Grateful that we were able to leave our bags at reception to allow us to make the most of the day.
