Gingerbread Suites

Die Gingerbread Suites liegen genial: direct am Belmont Boardwalk, mit Blick auf die Admiralty Bay. Nach 500m ist man auf der einen Seite direkt in Port Elizabeth, auf der anderen Seite auf dem Weg Richtung Princess Margaret Beach. Recht großes Zimmer, grosses Bett mit guter Matratze, viele Unterbringungsmöglichkeiten. Bad individuell gestaltet. Eigene Küche mit allem was man braucht. Alles schon ein paar Jahre alt, aber gut gepflegt. Sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den Hafen. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen, insbesondere das Frühstück auf der Terrasse.

The suite was excellent: big bed with good linen, useful and well equipped kitchen, nice shower, lovely balcony and great views. We were very happy with it. The grounds are attractive and well-kept too, and location on the seafront close to town is ideal. Only issue is with the manager, Grumpy Gretel, who needs to learn to smile and show some friendliness to her visitors. Information on arrival was minimal, delivered in a monotone, and then she was gone. On the last morning we had no water or electricity because of workmen, but Gretel was still happy to relieve us of cash for one broken mug. Stay for the location and quality of the rooms, but don't exoect much off the boss!

I enjoyed the calm and quiet atmosphere. The staff were lovely and helpful. While no food options were on property you are surrounded with a variety of options. Easy access to the beach and if you are interested in diving, snorkelling or other water activities there are many options available.

I completely fell in love with the room which was a double edge sword since you can see the beautiful Caribbean water from bed. I got take out to enjoy the amazing room set up. They think of everything and I’m enamored with the decor and mosquito net bedding; super quaint and romantic. Super quiet at night and everything is walking distance. The owner was one of our favorite parts we will be back in a few months and will bring more family. LOVED it.

I had a great stay at Gingerbread. The building felt authentic and quaint, the room was great and the location perfect. I was able to walk to everything around it. I'm already planning my next stay.
