Great B&B overall. Parking was easy even though on street, there was plenty of space close by. Breakfast was simple but perfectly done, just right in honesty, all great quality stuff. 15 minutes walk to the shops etc, and some restaurants very close by too. The only downside was the mattress which had huge depressions in it, so felt like sleeping on a hill. I’d stay again but try a different room for the bed.
Great B&B overall. Parking was easy even though on street, there was plenty of space close by. Breakfast was simple but perfectly done, just right in honesty, all great quality stuff. 15 minutes walk to the shops etc, and some restaurants very close by too. The only downside was the mattress which had huge depressions in it, so felt like sleeping on a hill. I’d stay again but try a different room for the bed.

Were met by Mary at the check in who explained how to get in and to open doors using our own codes and no door keys or cards. Room 2 was snug but comfortable for us. There was a little noise from the floorboards above not nothing untoward. They advertise a continental breakfast but also provide toast or buns with sausages. There was plentiful food and the vegetables sausages we had were unique having a kebab taste. We recommend this B&B highly, so much so that we're booking a day every week for the next three weeks while we visit our daughter.

This is a very well renovated B&B with nice amenities like a smart TV, kettle for tea and coffee, and a super comfortable bed. The entrance to the hotel and rooms is controlled by an electronic code. There is a modest continental breakfast on offer with the option for boiled eggs and a sausage or bacon sandwich. The waterfront is a short walk away and the historic dockyards are about a 20-minute walk. The room was quiet and had a chiller fan. You could also open the windows for fresh air. We arrived a few hours before check in, and because there was no staff on site until 3pm, we had to keep our luggage with us.

One night stay. Room, excellent, with comfortable bed and a very large smart TV. Food, great breakfast. Access, smart key code entry into building and room. Limited parking on roads nearby but no problem. Friendly staff, nice bar area and only a short walk into town. No complaints, will 100% stay here again.

Such a wonderful little hotel in an ideal location. 5 minute walk from the pier and arcades, 15 minutes or so to both shopping centres ( Gunwharf/cascades ) with the theatre being even closer if that is included in your poa for your time away! Lovely clean rooms, quite a personal experience with only me and my wife with the owner at breakfast but we liked it that way. Would recommend to anyone and will be back soon! Also lovely bar and atmosphere for drinks in the evening.

The accomodation was very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The gentleman that assisted us when we arrived was really helpful and friendly. Our experience at breakfast was not as good, the lady who served us seemed a little put out by us requesting for pastries to be cooked as they had run out. When they arrived we just had pain au chocolat and they were partially raw so we didn't eat them.

We had a deluxe room which was clean and spacious. Facilities in the room were very good and included a good size wardrobe, full length mirror, toiletries and kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits. Quiet location. There is a bus stop right outside the premises and is within walking distance of a retail outlet. Helpful staff.

A few important things to know about this place before you book. There is no longer a restaurant downstairs. It’s only a bar and you will likely hear music from it until it closes. There is no air con, only a swamp cooler, which may be an issue during the summer. It is about a 10-15 minute car ride from the international ferry port, 40-45 minute walk, so keep this in mind if you’re in town catching a ferry. The bathroom in rm 3 is a wet room. The divider for the shower is tiny and water unavoidably is sprayed everywhere. Last, the bed was very firm which is of course preference but made for an uncomfortable sleep for us.

Really warm welcome and chat with Mary - an absolute superstar who helped check us in, even though she had finished her shift! Our room was stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was just right with a variety of fruit, cereals, and breakfast baps. We will absolutely return.

Decent B&B suitable for a short stay. My room was small but comfortable, with a wet room that although small and a bit awkward, worked perfectly fine. Nice breakfast offered in the morning, and easy check in/out. I would have loved a hair dryer in the room though!

The staff here makes you feel like family. From check-in to check-out, ever staff person we encountered was very friendly and helpful. It's a very well done boutique hotel that we would go back to time and time again.

Gracious and friendly hosts who put out a fantastic breakfast. As an American I was particularly take with the make your own boiled egg station. Neighborhood is close to a number of good dining options and recommendations from the staff were spot on. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Becketts. There isn't an elevator which could be a concern if you have large bags. Our room was very small but comfortable. The tiny shower sprayed the entire bath, so floor could be slippery. The staff are all wonderful and the breakfast is very good. Great location to restaurants, the pier, Gunwarf Quay, Hovercraft to Isle of Wight and naval museum.

Great location close to the hovercraft terminal. Helpful staff agreed to meet us outside their opening hours so we could drop our bags off. Very small room but nicely done. Nice breakfast with a continental spread as well as a choice of bacon or sausage roll. Shame the restaurant closed. Overall very good for a one night stop on the way to the Isle of Wight.

This is a very well renovated B&B with nice amenities like a smart TV, kettle for tea and coffee, and a super comfortable bed. The entrance to the hotel and rooms is controlled by an electronic code. There is a modest continental breakfast on offer with the option for boiled eggs and a sausage or bacon sandwich. The waterfront is a short walk away and the historic dockyards are about a 20-minute walk. The room was quiet and had a chiller fan. You could also open the windows for fresh air. We arrived a few hours before check in, and because there was no staff on site until 3pm, we had to keep our luggage with us.

One night stay. Room, excellent, with comfortable bed and a very large smart TV. Food, great breakfast. Access, smart key code entry into building and room. Limited parking on roads nearby but no problem. Friendly staff, nice bar area and only a short walk into town. No complaints, will 100% stay here again.

We had a deluxe room which was clean and spacious. Facilities in the room were very good and included a good size wardrobe, full length mirror, toiletries and kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits. Quiet location. There is a bus stop right outside the premises and is within walking distance of a retail outlet. Helpful staff.

Such a wonderful little hotel in an ideal location. 5 minute walk from the pier and arcades, 15 minutes or so to both shopping centres ( Gunwharf/cascades ) with the theatre being even closer if that is included in your poa for your time away! Lovely clean rooms, quite a personal experience with only me and my wife with the owner at breakfast but we liked it that way. Would recommend to anyone and will be back soon! Also lovely bar and atmosphere for drinks in the evening.

The service from the staff was first class. Super friendly and very welcoming. I can’t recall the chaos name at breakfast but he made the morning. I will definitely be back in the future. Oh and the granola bowl was epic.

Were met by Mary at the check in who explained how to get in and to open doors using our own codes and no door keys or cards. Room 2 was snug but comfortable for us. There was a little noise from the floorboards above not nothing untoward. They advertise a continental breakfast but also provide toast or buns with sausages. There was plentiful food and the vegetables sausages we had were unique having a kebab taste. We recommend this B&B highly, so much so that we're booking a day every week for the next three weeks while we visit our daughter.

Gracious and friendly hosts who put out a fantastic breakfast. As an American I was particularly take with the make your own boiled egg station. Neighborhood is close to a number of good dining options and recommendations from the staff were spot on. Highly recommended.

Really warm welcome and chat with Mary - an absolute superstar who helped check us in, even though she had finished her shift! Our room was stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was just right with a variety of fruit, cereals, and breakfast baps. We will absolutely return.

Our 3rd stay at the hotel, easy check in and check out. Simple but good breakfast and great cocktails. Bed comfortable and has decent pillows. Location great for what we need.

Great Stay as always used this place a few times now and very good service, breakfast is the best in Southsea I think it really is good. Good value I must say.

Location great, staff fantastic , especially the young gentleman who check us in, very professional ! Unfortunately we could t enjoy the bar as it was booked out for a party which was disappointing but a complimentary drink was offered. Stayed in room 1, and was lovely, great bed, lovely decoration, bathroom floor gets slippy so be careful , we did have an issue with the toilet not flushing, and the net curtain in the main window has a hole in it so needs replacing . Breakfast was ok rather than great, a choice of eggs and a bacon or sausage roll , personally I Like a full English when away on a trip . However overall the experience was good and we would stay again.

There were two restaurants near one Greek and one Latin American we tried the latter and it was good, the Greek one was closed Monday. Staff were welcoming, small family run hotel so personal. Nice bar area. Breakfast was included (continental) but they did offer boiled eggs or bacon bap or sausage bap in the morning.
