The proximity to the river was very nice. Being pet friendly was a real plus. Cost was very nice. The room was very acceptable for the inexpensive price.

this old motor lodge is well kept and in a great location. the room had a front door and a back door. Pet friendly, tons of green space, and good water pressure. the family that owns it was very courteous and helpful. we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other travelers looking for other alternatives to the basic hotel.

The setting of these rooms is serene and lovely, and I especially liked having a screened, lockable "back door" that opened directly out onto the pond (beautifully misty in the morning) and allowed me to sleep with the door open and fresh cold night air streaming into the room all night long. The owner was also very welcoming and I loved that they manage to be both pet AND allergy friendly by having separate rooms for pets and no pets. A perfect balance.

The motel itself is older but recently renovated and clean. The room had everything that I expected for a basic overnight stay (microwave, refrigerator, in-room coffee, working WiFi). The location is almost idyllic, right on a river with a large grass area off the back porch(!) of each room. Parking was right outside the door of the room. The location was quiet and just outside of the main township area, about an 8 minute drive east. I would stay here again.

This is an older motor lodge. The room we were in appeared recently renovated. It was very clean and the beds comfortable. The grounds were amazing, well cared for and scenic with a small patio facing the river. I like vintage motels and this one was particularly pleasant. If you’re looking for something different from a chain motel along the highway, this is it! I was very pleased with our one night stay.

My fiance and I were headed up to Acadia and stayed here for a night to break up our drive. We had a lovely stay here on a road trip together. The staff was incredibly kind, and the room was clean and cozy. I was surprised to wake up to such a beautiful view of a creek behind the motel. I would definitely recommend this stay!

I found that the room was clean however, the was dirt on the doors and it showed its age. You could not turn heat up or down but it was a good temperature but found it a little hot at night. Bathroom really has no space to place your cosmetics bathroom needs or your cloths.The fridge did however freeze everything. There is no deadbolt lock on the 2 doors for extra safety that I did not like. The drapes on the window could be cleaned or just removed. It’s showing age and for the price should offer more.. .

I stayed at Copper Lantern overnight so I could get closer to Worcester Airport with a winter storm coming in. The young woman who checked me in was super friendly and helpful. The room was immaculately clean and cozy warm when I entered. Indeed it did snow. They got the lot cleared efficiently so we could get our cars out in the morning.

This is the second time staying here. We love the simplicity of the place, small motel, retro/industrial style, very clean. We also love the scenery of the area. The motel is in a remote area, so a snack bar / dining area for breakfast would be ideal. It is very far off the interstate, but worth the trip. The mattresses could use an update in room 4, but comfortable enough for a night.

My day has been absolutely amazing! The manager and his family operate this place, and it’s truly exceptional. The level of customer service, along with the care and intelligence displayed by the management, has left a lasting impression on me. I originally planned to stay just one day, but I’ve decided to extend my visit to about a week because it’s so peaceful and relaxing. The landscaping here is stunning as well. I highly recommend this place!

I never got to visit. I have a 4 hour drive ahead of a 10 hr shift I "Was" volunteering for. I called to give a courtesy notice that i would be in around 2am. I was told due to staffing issues they close at 10pm. This is listed as 23 hours. I recieved multiple calls from expedia and a gentleman claiming to be the owner assuring me the front desk agent was wrong and i could get a room at any hour. I am not rolling the dice on a 4 hrs drive. Spemd the extra 30 bucks and drive 10 more minutes to stay at the hilton. They truly are 24 hours and I've never had an issue like this unprofessional mess called the Copper Lantern.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable, and completely adequate for my overnight with my dog before an event. Bed was clean and comfy, and the room opened out onto a big field with a river view. Thank you for being a clean, comfy reasonably priced pet friendly place to stay.

This is an old-school motel and has had some remodeling but is not up to most standards. Linens were clean, beds comfortable. Not fancy and we just needed one night to rest, so it was reasonable and comfortable. Host was very pleasant and view of the river also nice. A great historic pub down the road was welcome for supper.

This is the second time staying here. We love the simplicity of the place, small motel, retro/industrial style, very clean. We also love the scenery of the area. The motel is in a remote area, so a snack bar / dining area for breakfast would be ideal. It is very far off the interstate, but worth the trip. The mattresses could use an update in room 4, but comfortable enough for a night.

This place is old, but the River is right there and we had bunnies, foxes and a skunk out in the field... Great fishing access, and picnic tables. Simple accommodations - but it had cable with a ton of channels, a working AC and it was a fair price for the accommodations. The staff had good recommendations for food at local restaurants (Hitchcock Tavern and Howard's Drive -In) and the proximity to the Quabbin was nice. We had a sports tournament in Amherst and this modest spot was suitable and it saved us some money over the hotels closer to our tournament. Not fancy, but solid.

It was a great place to rest our heads for the night. We arrived after 9pm and staff was ready and waiting - quick check in. Very quiet, very clean, comfortable beds. And they are pet friendly! Thank you!
