Hotel El Dorado

Solo traveler here, stopping by before heading to Roatan. The hotel was easy to find, but there aren’t many restaurants around if you come here at night. The staff is helpful and polite. The room is a little run down but there are no bugs or dirt. You can hear rats at night, but they have traps so they’re currently fixing the problem and won’t go in the room. They have hot water too. I felt safe staying there. The only issue was that they did NOT have breakfast in the morning. I don’t think it was the hotels fault. But more of the restaurant not being open.

The price was not what was quoted. We paid $61 CAD Not $44 as booked. Some how I think this is Expedia. Not the Hotel

The hotel is an ok hotel. Beds are new and comfortable. The bathroom is ok as well. The AC works wonderful. You get what you pay. It does have its own secure parking which I like. Overall is a good hotel for one night stay.

Great air conditioning and hot shower. Close to the bus station. Grocery store around the corner. We did not sleep well due to light and noise of people in the building. Room darkening shades would have helped tremendously. Also we were charged a little more than the total price on hotels.com.

I had to double pay for the room. I paid expedia, but when i got there, they had my reservation but no money so I had to pay twice for the room. Expedia needs to either clarify that going through them and paying only reserves the room. However, the staff was very nice and helpful.
