forth they sent us clear instructions which was really helpful. The room is big with high ceilings and nicely presented. Bed was a little squeaky but comfortable and we slept well. They have a mini-fridge stocked with water bottles and breakfast in the morning. Coffee was quite good. A few notes for future guests, especially in summer (late September): it was quite warm in the room and we couldn't get the fan to work, and there were four flights of stairs to go up with luggage and our stroller. Breakfast is a light Italian breakfast of coffee and a croissant, which is totally normal here, but my wife would have loved a little more variety like fruit, cheese or something with a bit of protein. Unfortunately we arrived too late to try the restaurant this time, which looked delightful.

La Piccola Locanda is not a hotel, they don’t have a front desk. The owner sends an email before check in date explaining this “Albergo diffuso accomodation concept” meaning they can place you anywhere, the check in time are only from 11:00 - 2:45 and 6 -11:00 pm. The owner left me the keys on top of a barell, the entrance to the building was like a storage, no elevator, I dragged my suitcase 5 stair flights, and I was alone in the whole building, very scary! I ended up staying somewhereelse!
