One of 2 elevators was down for the week. It is part of the Gulf state park, so we brought our eBikes to ride around. We could bring them to our room for safekeeping. This is a very convenient place to stay for eBikes or bicycles as well.

We loved that it is right off the beach. Nice place to visit and stay at. Food was great. Peaceful and quiet Didn't like that parking is not real close unless you want to use valet to park your car. You either use their service to take luggage to room or carry it yourself no carts available to use.

The balcony view was nice but there was construction and saws running right under our room during our stay. The parking was also a great distance from the hotel so that was the most inconvenient aspect of our stay. They offer valet parking but of course that cost extra if you wanted that option. Over all the teip was ok but parking was a disappointment for sure

1. We were happy to get a Gulf view room and were happy to pay for this. No one disclosed that our view was over very loud daily pool construction. Power washers running early. Cement trucks backing into the area. Loud. We wanted rest and relaxation. 2. Bugs. Sand flies in our bathroom. Dozens of them. Nowhere else. We’re told that we must be letting them in. We spend most days out if the room so I doubt this. 3. Beach access. Close boardwalk was closed due to already mentioned construction. Forced to walk to opposite end of hotel (and it is very long) to go to tbe beach. Horrible on my bad knees. 4. Expensive. No discount for construction area. Not even mentioned.

Room was clean and beautiful. They’re building a new pool so there was some construction going on under our room, but they didn’t disturb us, and didn’t start working early. It was quite a walk to the beach, but that’s only temporary until the new pool is finished and they reopen that beach access. My only minor complaint is there is no restroom close to the temporary beach access that I could find, so it’s quite a walk to the lobby or current pool restrooms.

Nice pool, and easy access to ocean. Comfortable beds and pillows. I dont think that there shoukd be a charge for the beach chairs and unbrellas when you stay there, every place that i stayed at before if you were a quest they were free only had to provide a rm #. I did call in advance though so i was aware of the fee.. Also nice walk across the street to the lake.. overall a pleasant stay.

One of my favorite properties I ever stayed at where they reward Hilton honors member loyalty and go the extra mile to make their guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Super unique building, fantastic ocean views, nice bar and pool life with live music. The rooms are all recently remodeled and with fantastic hang out spaces. 💯 would return

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The price point was on the higher end in my opinion; however, the location is beyond compare in Alabama. The beach is not crowded. Other hotels are a fair distance away. The pier is a short walk down the beach. Guests have the entire state park full of walking trails across the street to explore. We took advantage of the beach chair/ umbrella service with Ike’s, and it was great!! The pool was lovely, but we are beach goers and stayed on the beach. There were a few jellyfish, but definitely manageable. We saw porpoises and dolphins in the mornings!!! 😍 The water was lovely! Our room was clean and well furnished. I appreciated the communal balconies on the ocean side for lake view stays to enjoy. I deduced one star for the mattress. If this is a tempur-pedic…it certainly did not feel like a memory foam mattress to me.

The room was ok, nothing fancy but it is a lodge setting. Mattress was good. Nice gulf view. Pool and beach nice. Little bit if a walk to beach. Parking terrible, you had to walk quite aways you'll be sweating by the time you get to your car plus daily parking fee. Turned light on one night very large cockroach on wall.

Our first room had black mold around the tops of the ceiling. We had a maintenance staff come look and he also agreed that it was mold. After we were moved to another room they changed the sheets several times to try and get clean bedding. We still ended up with dirty sheets and the explanation of they have a new company washing sheets and it hasn’t been the best experience. I would not stay here again.

Hotel lobby was very pretty and clean. Hall carpet was dirty and stained. I know that is a high traffic area but it’s time to replace it. Mattresses were terrible. They were sagging on one side and felt like you would roll in the floor. I switched sides and the same thing. Staff was very friendly and prompt. Hotel in on a major highway and the traffic noise was horrible. We couldn’t get a gulf front room with balcony so I opted for a balcony room facing Lake Shelby. Don’t! Ok view but road noise made it miserable! Rather than face a second sleepless night we drove 6 hours home instead!

We were traveling with a child and it would have been nice for them to have advised us that the room they gave us was right above the pool that stays open until 10pm… none of us could get any sleep until the pool Closed and the live music. We had to ask 3 times to get our room services / cleaned for a 3 night stay. We got there Saturday didn’t get room cleaned or serviced until Monday at 2pm. Was also not advised about the daily parking fee that is added to your bill at the end. No where does it say a fee for self parking.

Property is very nice but also very expensive. You have to pay to park, if you want to use a luggage cart you have to pay for bell service. It says free Wi-Fi but that is only if you are a Hilton rewards member. The view and beach are very nice, just be forwarned about all the extra fees.

Great access to the beach. Room conditions were clean. Balcony latch was stuck and very hard to operate. Walking around door in bathroom layout was awkward. Nice dining options. Coffee shop could use a second worker. Overall great location and wonderful getaway!

The first night of our three night stay we were put in a suite in the meetings building which had outdated bathroom and no coziness. We requested and got put back into a standard suite which we loved, balcony included. The access to beach, umbrella and chair rentals, was awesome. The Perch was fantastic food for dinner and Food Craft great for breakfast and lunch.

The lobby is very beautiful and desk staff are good. The breakfast buffet is first rate! It's a first class conference hotel and resort. Extremely eco-friendly. All staff are very friendly and helpful. I was very disappointed in having no convenient beach access. There was pool onstruction right in front of the balcony. The balcony furniture was very uncomfortable. My room was a long walk from the lobby. The in-room water is $3 a bottle. You are required to join Hilton Rewards to access the "free" Internet. Kids run around the hallways making noise and unsupervised. Valet parking is basically required because parking is very far away. Valet parking takes a while to get your car. The facility is really too large for mature people to easily navigate. I will stay at other beach resorts because this one is not for me.

Beware Expedia’s room pictures & description … this was for a ‘Gulf Front’ Hearing room. This room was out on the far end of the building in the green organic section of the property so no sand except in the distance. the view of the ocean was also quite distant. Expedia, however, pulled 3 of the property’s stock photos of a 2-queen bed gulf front view into this listing, 1 of which is clearly on a higher level overlooking the beach access bridge, ocean, & beach. Very misleading, as the 1st floor pics aren’t very obvious. This room however was of exceptional quality since it hasn’t been booked often. We canceled & rebooked directly w/hotel to get a room w/better view. That room was well-worn w/uncomfortable beds in comparison. Swapped room quality for a better view. 1st floor rooms also have 12ish foot ceilings, levels 2-4 have standard ceilings. Appears as tho level 5 - highest level - may have high ceilings as well. Also hotel employees treated me completely differently when booked directly. They treat guests w/3rd party bookings like sub-par guests. The front desk employee even went as far as to say she thinks it should be against the law for Expedia to use the hotel’s stock photos for their listings!😳 In summary view Expedia w/a very critical eye, & expect to received less respectful treatment than guests that booked directly w/the hotel :/.

Beware Expedia’s room pictures & description … this was for a ‘Gulf Front’ Hearing room. This room was out on the far end of the building in the green organic section of the property so no sand except in the distance. the view of the ocean was also quite distant. Expedia, however, pulled 3 of the property’s stock photos of a 2-queen bed gulf front view into this listing, 1 of which is clearly on a higher level overlooking the beach access bridge, ocean, & beach. Very misleading, as the 1st floor pics aren’t very obvious. This room however was of exceptional quality since it hasn’t been booked often. We canceled & rebooked directly w/hotel to get a room w/better view. That room was well-worn w/uncomfortable beds in comparison. Location was great, hotel was very nice. Staff across their functions were friendly, always engaging, impressed they were busy working regardless day or night. Staff, food, and location will have me book again. Foodcraft breakfast & dinner was excellent, we'll try The Perch next time, worth the price. The Dragonfly service was very slow, especially if you sit at the bar, and food and drinks were underwhelming and overpriced, except for the wings. Room was fine, seemed a bit tight, and the big stand up lamp in room was weird and was in the way. The bed was maybe too soft, and felt like an undersized King, but was okay. It would be nice to have a fan available. Otherwise, bathrooms clean, towels were good quality. Shower was large stand up but smaller single showerhead needs to be large to cover two people. Marsh view was fine, but wished we knew the roadway was right there. We liked the public balconies with seating and ocean views on each level. Mostly dipped in the ocean yet pool was nice. We will book a different style room next time so not adjourning and see how it is. Do not like the idea of an expanded pool area and dune removal for 2026. If I wanted a typical resort feel, I’d book in Orange Beach.

Located inside the Gulf State Park, you are surrounded by outdoor beauty and outdoor activities, trails, fishing, hiking, biking etc. The staff was amazing and efficient. We went for the "Sand in My Boots" festival and the location was very close to that venue. Food and Drinks from the poolside bar were very good and convenient. The ability to text the staff for anything from transportation to getting your car from the valet made for a very easy stay as well. Would stay here again.

Beautiful location at the Gulf State Park. Very peaceful with the gorgeous beach and convenient access to the park. Enjoyed the on-site restaurants and poolside food and drinks. Loved the property and the entire vibe. While it felt remote and serene, it was very close to everything else Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have to offer. Highly recommend!

Lovely location, nice looking hotel. Unfortunately we were over the pool on the second floor and it was very very noisy. The room was ok, however we found someone else's Kalvin Klein's in the bathroom!!! The food in the bar and for room service was fine, however everything was served in disposable containers. The cutlery was compostable but this was only if done commercially which of course is not the case when trash goes straight in the bin. For the price I expect a plate and proper knife and fork.

Pictures doesn’t do justice on how beautiful this place was. Wish the front desk would tell all the amenities and where because we had to explore and figure out on our own. Also check your receipt. They didn’t explain the parking fees and also had several extra charges on my room that didn’t belong to us and when I called to discuss it the front desk kept trying to push me off the phone and said a manager will review it and didn’t explain what to expect. Also several pending charges for way more than spent so wouldn’t recommend using your debit card so you don’t have to worry about the funds. Overall clean, beautiful place just a lot of unknown and not clarified.

We loved our stay. From check-in to check-out everything was pretty great. However, I wasn't crazy about the $5, 16 oz. iced coffee at the hotel coffee bar. It's not often that Starbucks is the cheaper option! If you're going to charge the same price for half the coffee, at least make sure the coffee is outstanding! That coffee was just average.

Our stay was brief but the room towards the end of hallway was quiet. The issues were that the parking is so far from the rooms and they won’t provide a cart to you so you must pay a bellman. When we arrived at 4:30, they only had two bellman and the wait was extremely long. Just wanted to get into our room and enjoy the brief time there. Check out the next morning was completely different. We phoned for a bellman and they arrived within minutes and practically ran to the car. We could barely keep up and felt completely rushed to leave. I don’t have a reason to return after this experience unfortunately.

The property was very clean & beautiful. The pools were nice & the proximity to the restaurants was very convenient. However, on arrival, I noticed there wasn’t a microwave in our room (I should have inquired prior to our stay). In the past, we have never run into an issue where there is absolutely no access to a microwave. We have always been able to use one in a common area or had one brought to our room as an accommodation. As soon as I saw there was no microwave in the room I called down to the front desk where I was told ‘there are no microwaves on the property.’ My reply was ‘well that is a problem since my son has a special diet that requires his food to be brought on trips and microwaved, but thank you. I guess I will figure something out.’ His response… ‘yea, no problem.’ Soon after that, I received an automated text asking if there was anything they can do to assist our stay. I explained my dilemma and received no response. We went to Walmart to purchase a crockpot so we would be able to heat his meals. I sent another text at that time since I was frustrated that there was no reply, and Nicholas advised us to come by the front desk so they could help us. At that time he told us that they would be happy to microwave the meals for us in the staff microwave. The morning we were leaving my husband took my son’s oatmeal down to be microwaved and the kind lady at the front desk offered to have housekeeping bring us a microwave to our room since it was for a medical reason

The lodge was very nice. The staff didn’t tell us anything about the property when we arrived-the pool hours-breakfast yes or no-nothing. Our room was the last building about as far away as you can get from the lobby but not far from the pool or beach. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was hard and they only had feather pillows which I hate. We had a street view but couldn’t see out the window because it was so dirty. The pool side food was not good. Now about the parking. You have to park far away and there are no close by handicap parking either. I think my husband said 0.3 of a mile from our vehicle to our room. They do have valet but they looked covered up. All in all it had nice pools (one adult pool) and the beach wasn’t far.
