Penn Lodge Hotel & Suites Philadelphia - Bensalem

No receptionist, not clean, did not stay just found another hotel, no service

I'll start by saying the rooms were alittle modern. They were clean. And, that's about all the good I can say. I hated the way you check in and out. The moment you enter the office there is a monitor half the size of a human that has someone pop on the screen from who knows where that was unlocking lockers and telling me which number to open for my keys. Then another box for towels and another for cups and plates. I felt like I was in prison! Very inpersonable! Don't even know if they were even in this country because the communication barrier was strong. Along with their accent. Had to constantly ask them to repeat themselves. My room was next to a huge dirt hill. That was my view! Something that looked like a construction site. The floors had tons of chipped and broken planks. The bed caved in the middle. I stayed here because it had a higher rating than a hotel I stayed at just a couple of weeks prior. Not sure who is rating these places, but the other hotel was nicer and included breakfast. As advanced as technology is, and the fact that I just said I checked in with someone on a screen, they must be using staff and friends to write these reviews! No way was this place better than my previous place. The experience felt shady and uncomfortable. Then I had to call them 3 days later to release my deposit. First and last stay!!!

Check in easy and room clean. Quiet facilities. Rag was helpful.

Room was clean staff was very helpful they were out clearing ice out of the parking-lot making it safe.

The rooms are nice and clean and updated! The outside looks questionable, but other than that I would stay here again. There’s no amenities in the room other than soap and shampoo and an ironing board and iron.
