Nostos Residence - Apartment Terra

We had a wonderful weeklong stay. The location was perfect and we really preferred the apartment to options like hotels to get a real sense of what it's like to live on Kefalonia. The apartment was very clean and the host saw to all our needs, including setting up lots of fans to help deal with the heat. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we need to cook when needed and a large fridge for keeping water cold. The balcony was a great place to hang out. The cats and geckos added extra charm. The only major disappointment was the poor wifi signal only available in certain corners of the place, which had been a key reason we booked this place so that one member of our group could keep up with work demands, which were impacted as a result. Parking is definitely a challenge due to lack of spaces and narrowness of the driveway but the neighbors were nice about things and we made due. In the US, VRBO ads promise that hosts do not live on site but in this case the host live in the adjoining apartment. We had not expected this but he is kind, charming, and highly intelligent and we enjoyed some great conversations. Those looking for more nightlife and people watching may enjoy Argostoli more than this area near Fiskardo, which is also very touristy but smaller and more remote (which suited us perfectly). We really loved the taverna at Foki Beach and swimming at Myrtos and our boat tour to Ithaca. Thank you Theo!
