Super 8 by Wyndham Kansas City at Barry Road/Airport

Smelled lime someome had been smoking pot and using incense to cover the smell. Had a huge shopping cart to bring in luggage thatvwas diffocult to manuver up/down ramp and couldnt get it through door.

Check in became 8 dollars more than thought, the lady had issues with our reservation. Then there was loud music and no one seemed to care even with my children being awoken all night. No elevator and just seemed very forgotten.

Breakfast is only continental breakfast cereal, toast, coffee. Location of property nice near restaurants and shopping.. I went to check in I had reserved a king bed, but was told only a double bed was available. I was disappointed but said OK I had traveled a long way with my husband and was tired.. the thing that bothers me the Front Desk Agent she said the room was on third floor. That alone was not alarming, but after I got my keys and grabbed my luggage with my husband we realized there was no elevator! No one informed me there was no elevator at check-in. I have a bad knee and trouble walking and had to go up all those stairs EVERYTIME I came in and out of the facility if it was not for my husband being there, I would not have been able to get my luggage to the room. No one ever offered to assist with the luggage, knowing they have no elevator! I had to find out on my own, which I would’ve appreciated the transparency from the lady at the front desk to make sure that that was OK, that alone made my stay very bad.. I just would appreciate it, someone telling me there was no elevator at the property instead of me finding out my own way. At least try to assist us with the bags my, husband even struggle with the luggage getting it up to the third floor, outside of that the room was clean. Hallway had a light odor of old cigarettes. Staff nice but I will not book there again.

No running water in sink on last day. Sink was cracked all over to begin with. Water in shower NEVER got hot. Fixtures in room were rusted? The worst though was the plastic covering the mattress crackled with every movement. The bedding also wouldn't stay on the bed so every time you get out both people need to fix the corners. Poor girl at the desk didn't speak English so we felt bad for her trying to explain the water didn't work.

Was on a business trip and needed to do laundry. Washed it but dryer did not work. Had to hang clothes all around room and hope they dried for me to wear next day. That's my only bad thing.

We left immediately... ppl outside drinking Did not look like the pictures. Room on the 3rd floor... no elevator. Room looked nice but there was a roach on the bed.

When entering the hotel room,it had a smell of wet clothes that had later been to in the dryer. Later I found out the air conditioner in the room was basically a window unit that leaked extremely bad on the carpet. They have a laundry room on the property which is good but the washer and dryer are outdated.I had difficulty getting fresh towels, as I ask the front desk person for some. He gave me two towels and I didn’t realize it but I had to go back for washcloths. He told me after giving me two that those were the last two and next time I should try to catch the housekeeping in between rooms. Also there was always someone standing by the front door of the hotel entrance smoking cigarettes.

Good hotel, small lobby, small breakfast room. Overall a good place to come and rest.

Our room had fecal matter on the wall. Dirty shower curtain, and hair everywhere in the bathroom.

This is the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at. The shower is filled with mold and the sheets on the bed are ripped and don't stay on the bed so I woke up sleeping on the bare mattress, not even the mattress cover. I told the employee about this, he said he'd fix it, but nothing was changed.

There was a cockroach in my room crawling all over the wall in there.

Because of past experiences we were afraid to stay at another Super 8 but felt this place was WELL worth the cost. We stayed 4 nights & felt VERY comfortable. The design of the room was very spacious. Often, we are cramped. It was VERY clean & when asked for more towels there was NO issue. The free breakfast is a true conventional one so don't expect a food spread although it would be nice to have a protein added. There was NO bugs or room/hall odors. Staff was very professional & helpful. Showers were awesome. We WOULD stay there again in the furture when we go back to Worlds of Fun which was about 13 miles away. No issue for us for how well the stay went & the place being so clean. Be sure to consider them as your place to stay...

Room smelled of dampness and mold. Black mold was present on the ceiling.

Blood on the pillow blood on the bedsheets blood on the wall absolutely disgusting tub would not hold water. No continental breakfast huge waste of money time very uncomfortable didn’t sleep the whole night gross.

The window made a weird rattlesnack noise as the wind was flapping, definately could not sleep. The worker ended up ripping some siding of to sfix the solution twice

Room was clean and comfortable. As Im a senior using a walker I loved the walkin shower in the accessible room.

Came in for Worlds of Fun and a Tigers game in KC. The front desk girl was so nice and professional. The room was clean and the king bed was so perfect. The tv worked and every channel worked. Will for sure be back. Price was reasonable. The only down side was the breakfast. The apple juice was bad and the milk was off. Lots of food near by and the gas stations have plenty of beverages to cool off with after a long day at the park.

Paid for a late check out which was never approved so had to leave at 11am instead of 3pm as planned. Free breakfast consisted of cereal, apples and oatmeal. Checked in online but they still asked me for credit card and ID in person even though I repeatedly told them I’d already filled all that out and uploaded my ID online to save time when checking in. The king size bed was comfortable, but the sheets do not fit and the mattress cover does not fit so it came off repeatedly and was very annoying. Tv got about 5 channels. Bathroom was filthy, we didn’t even feel comfortable taking a shower in it.

Stay was fine for what we needed and price. In walking distance to the shopping center, restaurants, and Funny Bone comedy club, where we saw a show. Check-in took a bit, and they asked if two beds were okay instead of having one king like I ordered. The room was very dark at night because one of the lamps didn't work. The room had a fridge and microwave, which was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable. The area felt safe and secure.

Took 10 min for someone to come to the front desk to check me in. At 3:50am heard constant stomping until 6:00am

The staff was quick and friendly. The place was quiet, room was clean, bed was comfortable.

They are always friendly when you check in! Clean rooms! We have stayed several times an very happy with this motel!

It smelled of pot in the hallway. The rooms were noisy and the walls were very thin. The TV continually switched channels on its own and the TV kept receiving weather alerts from Denton, TX. The location is sketchy and there is a lot of noise from the surrounding area. I understand the price is not as high as other places, but it could have at least been clean and considerate.

Location was close to the airport which made it easy to get there. Room was clean, we got a non-smoking room and it didn’t smell like smoke. There was also continental breakfast available. Area was a little more noisy in the morning but it was a nice area.

This is a comfortable place to shower and sleep. It's clean, well-kept, and convenient to the area. Don't expect much more or you will be disappointed. The breakfast is minimal, with coffee, hot water and tea, milk, orange and apple juice, oatmeal, Raisin Bran, Frosted Flakes and bread/toast. No protein, muffins, or Danish. There's a Starbucks and a McDonalds within 200 feet of the hotel if you need more options.

The location was excellent. The hotel was average. The room was clean but the breakfast was the worst I have ever experienced. Very few choices compared to other Super 8s I have stayed at before.

The breakfast buffet is a joke!! Toast, 2 kinds of cereal, and a couple of packets of oatmeal
