Best Western Plus Peoria

The room and staff were great but the elevator doesn’t work, and carrying everything upstairs at age 78 was brutal. If I had known the elevator was not working, I would not have made a reservation there!!!!

My favorite stay in Peoria, been here several times. Gym needs to be updated

No working elevator…. Rooms run down… carpet disgusting in hallways and first room we were given….if you’re going to make your guests walk up a staircase with their luggage… at least clean the handrails on the stairs…. Only saving grace for this place was the staff…. Great employees from front desk to breakfast!

Fine for one night. Pool was unusable and should’ve been closed. It was green and extremely cloudy. Shower had a small steam and the toilet had a lot of mold/feces around the rim. I’ve paid less for better.

Room was clean, easy to navigate and close to downtown and other area attractions including shopping. Breakfast was great for being included and the attendant was amazing. Only downside. Pool area was VERY hot and the pool somewhat dirty. Something just seemed a little off with the chlorine, we couldn’t see our feet. Overall would recommend and would stay again.

This is my second time at this hotel but in a nicer room. It was okay, but just needed some care. The staff was sort of rude. The room was alright but definitely needed a good cleaning and some updates. The breakfast was underwhelming at best. We didn’t find out that the elevator was not working until we checked in… and we were on the top floor after a long drive.

Room was clean, and nice staff. The only problem was. We were on the 4th floor, and the elevator was broken. It was hell getting our luggage up to the 4th floor,and when we left. It was a pain. Next visit I will call make sure the elevator is working. Before I head there.

I waited at the front desk for approximately 15 minutes to check in. The camera at the front desk that would alert the young man that was folding towels is broken. I see that as a facilities problem NOT the young man working the front desks problem. The elevator is also broken and my room was on the 4th floor

The elevator was not working properly. It would go to the second and third floor but door would not open. You have to go down to one and try again. The lady at the desk said they have to call on the elevator a lot. So this wasn’t the first time it’s happened. Other than that very clean and nice place to stay.

Terrible WIFI.

The staff were all really nice and cheerful! My room was really large. King bed was comfy with a few pillow options. Room was at the end of the hall and very quiet. The first night I was there I turned on the heater during a cold snap. Smelled like burning fur and made the fire alarm in the room go off. I alerted the staff on my way out to dinner and was informed this happens in a lot of rooms. The floor of the tub/shower was very broken - patched a few times, but very bouncy with new cracks forming having me wonder if I was going to join the person below. There was dog kibble in a few places around my floor which says the room was not cleaned well.

Beds were good, but carpets were not clean-especially hallways (frayed in places as well). Hallway walls were banged up. Bathtub had a crack in it. Bathroom needs repainted. Breakfast was typical offerings, but potatoes seemed leftover. Pastries were fine. Having almond milk available was nice for those who need it.

Room had a musty odor that I could never shake. Room seemed to need a refresh.

The hotel is VERY dated and in need updating. The carpet throughout the building is disgusting. The rooms smelted musty. See the pictures from the AC units. The dirt on the AC vents looked like a dryer vent after a cycle. The carpet in the rooms turned your bare feet black. The frame of the bed was broken and stuck out and hit my ankle when walking past the bed. We have stayed in this hotel five times in the last two years and I feel like they have never cleaned it. we only stay at this hotel because we travel with my daughter's softball team and this is the only hotel in the area that has enough rooms for the group. The always vacancy is a telling sign. The hotel claims there is updating being done, but they are painting the outside, no sign of improvements inside. In the future our group is booking a hotel that may be further away from the softball complex because this hotel is such poor quality.

The room can be better prepared for customer. The odor of the room was awful, I had to spray my cologne to be able to stay in the room.

The shower needed to be cleaned better ( mold under the inside rim of tub) and the carpet throughout the hotel was in bad shape. Bed was comfy and rest of room was clean. Breakfast was awesome and breakfast lady was very friendly :)

Carpet near ac unit was wet, causing poor air quality and mildew issues. Third floor room, and yet still had tons of ants around a soda can and coconut water bottle. Room was very clean otherwise. We didn't want to ask to move, since the staff relocated us with apologies after the first room we were assigned had a toilet with a broken handle, discovered 10 minutes into our stay. Also, got stuck for 5 minutes in the elevator. Other guests we ran into said the same elevator issue happened to them. Took stairs the rest of the weekend. Breakfast was great, the staff was attentive. Lots of choices and different items each day which was nice.

The hotel is well maintained for an older hotel. You have to request maid service, which we were not told so 3 night stay we had none. Pool was nice, a little dirty. The rooms were clean but the carpet turned our feet black. Front desk and breakfast attendant were friendly and helpful. We had a LOT of preteen- teen kids wandering around. The area is more industrial but lots to do across the road, not realy walkable. Breakfast was good, standard issue stuff, eggs, meat, waffles etc.

Room could be cleaner. Beds should beds replaced way to soft pillows too

Comfortable beds, nice breakfast, and great location for our visit. The pillows were too full for my liking and the toilet whistled when it flushed. Otherwise great stay.

Overall stay was good. Friendly staff, good breakfast, close to amenities, etc. The negative was the mattress is pretty cheap and bows in the middle and frame is tilted so your head is lower than your feet. Had to turn around in order to keep blood from rushing to my head.

Very clean little noisy above us early morning kids were running back n forth. Woke us up,but other then that wasn't bad. Next time going to see if I can get the very top floor so hopefully I'll get better sleep.

Everything is excellent except the room size is too small。

Room was fine. Staff was fine. The stay was adequate. The bed, blankets, and pillow were not very comfortable.

We were given a room on the second floor initially. Unfortunately, the beds were both exceedingly soft and uncomfortable. There was some mold at the seams of the shower unit. The toilet was very low to the ground. Because my husband has some mobility issues, we asked for a handicap room after the first evening. We were given a handicap room, but it was right across from the kitchen. So the noise level was pretty ridiculous. Additionally, the handicap unit shower is very dangerous if you are not used to walking on a wet tile floor. Extremely easy to slip and fall. it should be fine for someone using a wheelchair, however. The mattress was also extremely soft and worn out in this room as well. finally, the heating and air conditioning unit was very loud, sounding as though a spaceship was taking off and landing periodically throughout the night. We definitely cannot recommend this hotel.

We were on the 3rd floor. The elevator wasn't working correctly so we had to take the steps. Our room just happened to be next to the steps and elevator. It was so noisy! We didn't get much sleep!

The bed was not comfortable at all. It had a lump in the middle of the bed.

My room was spacious! King bed was so comfortable. Didn’t like the curtains in bedroom but it was still fine. I like to be able to close them. But overall, not a deal breaker and the stay was exactly what I needed.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Front desk people and kitchen lady are great ambassadors for your hotel.

Staff was very courteous and helpfull. Ive been staying here for the past four years for all of my granddaughters events.

Lady at check in was very rude. We had an air conditioner that wasn’t working properly. When we called the desk, she stated “you’ll have to give me a minute”. Two hours later we went down to the desk and she very rudely told us she was the only one there and there was nothing she could do about it. She said she could refund our money and we could leave. We stayed due to traveling from Minnesota to Ohio and were very tired. Very disappointed. We stayed on July 4 and it was a totally different visit.

Taylor and Ronnie were so helpful and TAYLOR remembered us. We enjoy staying there! And the breakfast is great!!!

I booked a trip to East Peoria, Illinois. My wife has family here. I am a disabled American Veteran. As soon as I entered the lobby, the Desk Clerk seen me enter with my cane and Service Animal. She told me that (Oh you have a pet) I responded that no mam I have a Service Animal. She stated well I am going to have to charge you for your pet. I told her that my Service Animal is EXEMPT from all fees and performs a Service for me. She called her boss who explained after I did that it is against the law to charge a fee for a service animal. So her boss told her to just go ahead and charge me a INCIDENTAL fee of 100.00. I explained that they had already charged my credit card prior to my stay and the website stated that payment would be made after my stay. The Desk Clerk was not familiar with company policy and the Manger that she called was not familiar with federal law concerning the rights of disabled people or Service Animals and got upset when I questioned her and told the Desk Clerk to ask me to leave and they would just refund me my reservation amount.. I have never in my 60 years of life and almost constant reservations have never been treated with this level of DISRESPECT by my many reservations with Expedia or Best Western and feel that they are not aware of the issue. Expedia went over and beyond to make good on their great services and called the property and asked them for a full refund. Expedia also compensated me for the inconvenience. Come on Best Western!!!!!

We prepaid 3 weeks in advance for a king size bed. When we arrived, they had no king size beds available, even though we had prepaid for it. The evening desk clerk was rude. Then I was charged a $100 security deposit for damages. Which they said would be refunded upon my checkout. No receipt of the refund was given even though I asked for one. When we went into the room there was a huge brown stain on the carpet. I called the front desk because I didn't want charged for it. Then my husband sat on the corner of the bed and the bed frame was broken and he fell on to the floor. When we told the staff, they were indifferent and extremely RUDE. The female manager was hateful and went out of her way to be rude. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Zero stars

The room itself was fine except the pillows smell very stale. (but were clean). The breakfast was good. BUT.... the elevator was broken, which I understand because it was Thanksgiving they couldn't get it fixed right away. However, upon check in, the woman proceeded to tell us about the broken elevator and added "the only rooms I have are on the 3rd and 4th floor". Since my room was prepaid on a 3rd party site, it's not like I had a choice about staying. Plus it was Thanksgiving.. where would we even go? And I wouldn't get money back or anything so of course we took it. No "sorry" or "can I help you up the stairs?" (we are old) and she said it in a tone that meant she really didn't want us to stay. VERY unwelcoming. If she would have said it in a different tone OR said "sorry" I might have felt differently.

Property off main road and entrance confusing to get to! GPS takes back road that is not serviceable!

Easy in, easy out. Nice to be able to not be required to drive in the inner city to stay at a decent, safe, clean place.

Absolutely the WORST hotel we've ever experienced. We picked this hotel over others because of the exceptional rating on Hotels.com. I don't know what hotel others were rating, but it wasn't this one. Beds were hard, pillows were lumps of foam and not actually pillows. The shower head wasn't high enough to hit my head, and I'm only 5'8". One ply toilet paper. Our toilet didn't flush. The sundry shop had a small cooler of soda and one bag of animal crackers, hardly a sundry shop. Vending and laundry were on the top two floors and not accessible for us because the elevator was out. The hotel itself is in a VERY blighted and scary area of town.

Ample parking. Easy access to expressway and downtown Peoria.

We stayed here after a concert. It was close to the Peoria Civic Center, had great food options and shopping near by. Would definitely recommend!

We were greeted upon entering and check in was quick and easy. Upon entering our room, it was clean and spacious. The location of the hotel was great! It was close to shopping as well as several options for dining.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Bad coffee from the "coffee" machine near the elevator which brews about 9 different items. NO coffee in dining area and breakfast selection was very low every day of my stay.

Overall great hotel. Staff was friendly. Clean rooms and breakfast was great!

Very good value considering everything. The breakfast is just ok but then again we stayed there because of the value. Room was clean, large with sofa, table and chairs, king bed. plenty of counter space in the bathroom.

Breakfast was mediocre at best. Not many healthy options.

Maddie at the front desk was excellent! However the breakfast was not good! The way the hot items were served made all of them dry and overcooked. The fried eggs were so dry, I couldn’t eat them.

Mattress was comfortable though a bit divited. Elevator was out of order, though we were offered a Queen room on the ground floor instead of walking up to the 4th floor. Skipped breakfast after taking a sip of sour expired milk.
