Super 8 by Wyndham New Stanton

Stayed here twice end of year 2024 and start of 2025, it's a decent hotel, staff and breakfast are amazing. Gym needs attention. Rooms are dated, but safe and clean.

Everything was good. Only complaint is there was no elevator

Room was clean and there was adequate desk space for working. The parking lot was well lit, and I was able to park directly outside of the hotel room

2nd time this week I stayed here for a trip to/from Ohio. They need an elevator and update their breakfast items. Otherwise it’s clean and convenient and comfortable to sleep. The staff is really nice and helpful with questions. I’ll stay again for my next Ohio trip.

Location - great. It's near gas stations and food and even a little shopping. If you are just looking for a room to lay your head then this is it. The breakfast is waffles (my kids say they were nasty), bagels and cream cheese, cereal (2 kinds), fruit cups, and toast. The coffee was hot and delicious. There is a small gym with 3 machines and a tv so if you want to get your steps in, you can - and it's not crowded. There is a laundry room, an ice machine was nearby and so were a soda machine and a snack machine, which were both filled with a variety of options. The lobby has a couch and two chairs, some books to choose from and a tv to watch if you just want to get out of the room for a little while. The staff was pleasant enough, they only gave me one towel to being with fore a group of three so I needed to go to the desk and get more. The biggest issue I had was with the smell and the cleaniness. As soon as you opened the front door to go in it smelled like stale cigarettes. The desk clerk was smoking in front of the door instead away from the door were people were going in and out. There is no daily cleaning but the bed sheets were clean and the mattress had a protector on it. I didn't like how in order to have hot water you had to turn it to the cold setting for your shower and while I was in the shower I noticed a bar of used soap from the previous guests left on the top of the shower.

Check-in and check-out was very easy for this hotel, the staff was friendly, and I felt safe in both the hotel room and surrounding area. The bedroom and bathroom were arranged very nicely, and the bed was quite comfortable. The only downside I can think of is there was no elevator at the Super 8, so I needed to carry my luggage up to my room on the 3rd floor.

Absolutely disgusting. Do not book here. The bathroom shower is covered in mold. I asked to be located to a different room because I have a severe mold allergy. The next room had a bathroom that was also just as mold covered. In addition, they rebooked me into a smoking room. I have asthma and cannot be in a smoking room. We walked out and had to book a different hotel. I should have known immediately that this was going to be a bad option when I saw weekly rates were available and sheets were only changed on Mondays. I have photos of the mold. I am waiting to hear back from them today to see if I can get a refund. Hotels.com should pull this place immediately from their site. It is a severe health hazard.

We booked this hotel for my husband, myself, and our two daughters. We only stayed one night while visiting family. Upon arrival, my youngest daughter (10 years old) went to the restroom in the room and when she came out she said there was pee on the toilet. I went in to check, and sure enough, there was dried pee on the toilet. Then, my oldest daughter went in to take a shower and when she came out she said the shower curtain was nasty. There was black all along the bottom, so it was evident that it had not been washed in a while. I also noticed that none of the table surfaces in the main part of the hotel had been cleaned. There were sticky places on them from drinks. I didn’t complain while I was there since it was only one night, but I will never book with this hotel again while in town to visit my family. I didn’t expect a “perfect room” for $98 a night, but I did expect it to be clean.

Bed bugs in the first room, I have bug bites all over my back , neck and arm. I had to change rooms.

I have never stayed in such a gross place before. The tubs and shower curtains were moldy, the place smelled like cigarettes and wet dog, the carpets were filthy, the signage had spelling and grammar areas (when pointed out, the excuse was..."It was that way before I came." We asked to change rooms, it took 30 min of him inspecting other rooms, only to give us another moldy bathroom. We were downgraded and they gave no credit for it. After our 12 hour drive, my husband was exhausted enough to take a 2 hour nap, and then we left. While we were there, we heard of another family who canceled the rest of their stay as well. Never again!

Room was dirty, crumbs on chair.. shower was caked with dirt, scum.. Location was good, centralized.. bed was comfy, only saving grace

We were in town for a funeral and were not able to stay in this hotel because about an hour after a late evening check in, we discovered an infestation in one of the rooms. We had to leave immediately, quarantine some of our things, and we had to stay in another hotel with a very last minute new reservation.

Needed a basic room and that is what this is. Nothing special but clean and comfortable. Inside rooms which is good for security.

It was well priced and convenient to our trip. Rooms need more outlets, but we were satisfied with the hotel overall.

The wifi and TV channels have always been poor in that area. You would think all of the hotels would get together and get that fixed. That is my only disappointment!

Decent property for a road trip stop. AC was noisy, view was parking lot, but all the basics were covered.

Comfortable bed

The room was very nice. Clean and newly updated. The bed was very comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The blanket was very thin. We got a second blanket from the front desk. Check in process was very slow.

I will never stay at this hotel again I booked my hotel online and paid for it. There was an option to pay an extra $20 for a late check out for 1 o’clock so I did the late check out. I booked a room with two double beds. Handicap accessible and smoking for me and my best friend that is in a wheelchair we go to the hotel. The lady at the desk was very very rude. She told me exactly what I booked and I said yes I did and she said well we don’t have that available we gave that room away so she put us in a non-smoking non-handicap Room that I had to push my friend outside to smoke and it was pretty far down the hallway to get to the door. There’s no way to get in that building with a wheelchair then I said about my late check out at one. She said we don’t do that , I said well I booked it it’s on your website she said well I don’t know what to tell you. She said take it up with the manager so she gave me a card and I said is this the managers name and the managers name is Wilma she said yes I said is this the phone number that I need to call she said yes I said well. I’m going outside to call her right now she said OK so I go outside to call the manager and guess What , the lady at the front desk answered the phone and she said the manager is not here. She’ll be here in the morning, the people above our room were a party and all night long banging on the floor, jump up and down whatever they were doing but they were so noisy. Night clerk Nicole refused to let my partner check in without me. Housekeeping was short handed and we didnt get fresh towels. Tissue box was empty. Second day we got towels but no bath mat. Trash was never emptied in our 3 day stay. Day clerk was very friendly

Took forever to check in. Once in, the experience was fine. Room was clean well kept.

You over booked us and there were no rooms available when we went to check in. You hurt us emotionally and financially as we spent triple the cost to find a room at the last second. Will never book a hotel as what you did was terrible.

A decent place to sleep for the price if you're passing through. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel does not have elevators so if you have mobility issues, then you should request a 1st floor room. The room was clean as it could be, though it did not have side tables, no accessible and convenient outlets to charge phones or other electronics overnight, and the chair was stained. Breakfast was lacking - minimal cold options and was out of regular coffee even in the early time range. Even for "grab n go", I would have expected some bananas, packaged pastries, granola bars, single-serve oatmeal, etc. We were on a road trip and planned to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater the next morning, so this was an affordable option not too far away.

Front desk lady was friendly

The general manager, Wilma, is ..... I booked a 2 night stay. Due to a car accident, I could not check in the first night. After dealing with the accident and getting a rental car, I arrived the second night only to find out that the hotel wouldn't check me in (because I didn't check in the first night -- even though I booked and paid for 2 nights). The front desk lady said to re-book the second night through Expedia (the original booking platform) and then request a refund for one night.... and that it wouldn't be a problem. I did that (so now I've paid for 3 nights). Well, I called Expedia and Expedia called Super 8 Wyndham in New Stanton requesting a refund. Guess what? Wilma would not agree to refund. I was willing to take the loss on the first night. But literally paying twice for the second night is thievery. I'll be contacting the Attorney General, consumer protection division.

Right by a truck stop, so outside was noisy but did not hear the noise inside the hotel. Very reasonable price.

This is an older property that's been given a surface-level upgrade with fresh paint, beds, and bedding. Very clean, and also comfortable. The room was fine, just what we needed for a quick overnight. Check in was quick and friendly, check out was via text (also quick). We didn't see the breakfast, we went to the Bob Evans across the street (very convenient). All in all it was fine for the price.

Easy, right off the highway. Easy parking. Super sweet desk receptionist!

Great place to stay. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Hot breakfast was good. They even let me park my car there for 48 hrs while I headed to Philadelphia and monitored it on their security cam. If I ever head that way again, my friend and I will definitely stay there again. I wish they had a setting on their room A/C to let the fan run to circulate the room air.

There were no ground floor rooms available. At 80 plus years the steps were an inconvenience. The room was nice, and the breakfast was good for starting a journey.

Nice clean recently refurbished older motel. Good value in a good location if you are traveling on I70. Main negative was the breakfast was really bad. Little different from the bad times for hotel breakfast during the pandemic. We ended up going to Bob Evans across the street

This was a late night check in for a bed and a hot shower. This hotel not only “fit the bill”, but the breakfast really exceeded my expectations. Nice friendly staff. This is one of those great deals. I’m staying a Marriott courtyard this evening, nice hotel, but it’s double the price of this road oasis, and I have to pay for breakfast too!

Room was decent, but we had to ask for a roll of toilet paper. There was barely any in on the roll, and no extra rolls our bathroom. Also, the breakfast was disapointing. No eggs, and the only hot option at all was a waffle maker.
