FIVE Zurich - Luxury City Resort

Booked for a room in the secondary tower, not expecting them to offer us a shuttle as it's an entirely different property. Would not recommend.

The hotel is located far from everything. I cannot believe this is called a five star hotel. It is a two star Hampton hotel. When you arrive to the reception, they send you on a half mile hike down to Long tunnel to get to the supposedly @superior room.” the room we went into was dingy and old and the bidet didn’t work. The shower didn’t work, and if you tried to plug in the towel, warmer, the breaker flipped, and all the lights went out. They moved us to another room, which was actually better. Unfortunately, I left my very expensive $$$$ jewelry at the hotel when we departed and 5 hours later when I called to retrieve it, they claimed “they had found no jewelry”. It WAS there. Someone at the hotel hit the jackpot. So it was a terrible two day stay for us.

Das Hotel ist einfach traumhaft und man fühlt sich rundum wohl und gut versorgt. Durch die zahlreichen Restaurants kann man auch bei mehrtägigen Aufenthalten kulinarische Abwechslung genießen. Das Personal ist stets zuvorkommend und freundlich. Danke an Felipe an dieser Stelle für den tollen Service.

Perfect stay

First one they checked us into, sheets had such a nasty stains on them. Floors were dirty, and towels were disgusting. Not really a complainer either as I’m willing to deal with some things that are out of human control. However, lack of basic cleanliness is something I can’t. We call the Front Desk. They upgraded us to another room, which is bearable. For a country with a climate like Switzerland carpet is really not the best thing, especially with the cigarette smell throughout the whole hotel. It’s nice to have a rooftop club, but also can be a pain in the ass with how loud and obnoxious the guest and customers are that are coming in and out until 6 AM staff is a little ignorant and I’m from America. We come from ignorance however in this hotel in particular very snobby staff only reason why I booked it is because I’m an average traveler to Dubai and I thought this Dubai based hotel in Switzerland would exceed my expectations. However, instead it made me reconsider ever staying at any property like this outside of Dubai.
