Hampton Inn Oklahoma City/Edmond

Advertised having a spa/hot tub… there is NO spa/hot tub!!!! Had 2 adults come in to pool area with same complaint. Elevator was super slow, carpet was disgusting, breakfast was the worst we’ve ever had at a Hampton! Bagels were not cut and so old you couldn’t cut them without them crumbling. No meat on buffet (eggs, potatoes). Also, rooms say sleep 5 with a sleeper sofa. No sleeper sofa. Overall, dirty hotel improperly managed with deceptive description on booking sites. Not typical Hampton standards. We would have went with a different hotel (one with spa)

Hotel did not match up to Hilton brand. Felt like local owner is poorly managing things, cutting corners to save pennies. Shattered emergency compartment in elevator looked old and no intent to fix, large old stain(s) on elevator carpet, bad smell too. Hallways had heavily soiled and stained carpets, several small but occasional large stains, none looked new. Room had strong smell similar to pinesol cleaner, very strong. There was a hint of another odor behind the strong pinesol smell, which smelled like feet/butt, or similar funk. It came and went in how faint that smell was but it was clearly being masked by the heavy cleaner smell. The heavy cleaner smell was almost unbearable; if my family was with me I would have moved rooms or hotels, but I sucked it up thinking it would be okay after a day or so but it was bad my entire 3 days/nights. Each time I walked into the room, or even when I’d roll over a pillow on the bed, I was hit with pinesol or funky odor. The front desk employees seemed very hands off, often times not being present or when they were they just sat there low behind the desk on cell phones not engaging with customers. The staff taking care of the breakfast bar was polite and engaging and seemed intent to do well with their job there. It was a nice gym for a hotel, with regards to variety of equipment, but again there were several signs of poor ownership and management. Broken glass on a counter, no towels, no wipes, a water system but no cups.

Couldn’t get WIFI but otherwise everything was great

We've stayed here the last 5 years. This year was subpar at best. The breakfast was cold and meager at best. We were stuck in the un-air conditioned elevator twice. Once for 5 minutes and once for about 10 minutes. Will have to think hard about staying there next year.

AC unit rattled a lot. We asked them to fix but they never did. Asked for a rollaway bed several times and they never delivered us one. Pool was not heated. They did not restock breakfast.

Upon arrival the front desk could not issue keys due to the system being down.... i had a broken foot and was on the 2nd floor upon departure i had to scoot down 2 flights of stairs just cause the elevator was caution taped... notice would have been nice

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The elevator looked like it had not been vacuumed for a long time and the 2nd floor halls needed vacuumed. We stayed at this hotel because of the indoor swimming pool, but my kids would not swim in it due to it being very cloudy. I asked the desk clerk and he said he had turned it in to be serviced. Unfortunately that would not happen until we were gone. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. The morning staff was really great and very friendly.

Over all we were satisfied. But were disappointed the pool was very cloudy and couldn't see the bottom. Was in severe need of a shock treatment. Went somewhere else to swim.

Major plus the pool was warmer than most and air temp was warm!!! Had a blast. Only problem was that after joining free WiFi I was not able to purchase high speed. The Hampton WiFi and my laptop automatically rejoined at the slow speed no matter what I tried. Checked with front desk and couldn’t figure out.

Expedia showed listing to have a hot tub and there was no hot tub which was the primary reason we selected this hotel. When we looked at the pool area there doesn’t appear to be even a spot where a hot tub could have ever existed. Poor customer service to say hotel has hot tub but doesn’t

Room smelled of mildew & had mold in an entire corner of the ceiling and down the walls. We hadn't noticed it until we laid down. We called the front desk and went down there and could not find anyone for over an hour. There were multiple people at the desk trying to find someone for issues as well. It was 2am when we finally found someone & that was after reaching out to the hotel next door because we just needed out of that room. The odor was awful and the longer we were in the room, the worse it was. We each had headaches and stuffy noses already. They told us the entire end starting in room 113 and all the way up was having mold issues. They moved us to another room on the opposite end. They showed us one room that smelled like paint. I'm pretty sure they were just trying to cover up the mold on the ceiling. Then moved to another and that room was good but the wall paper in the hallways was bubbling due to the humidity as well.

The first room I checked in to the bed was unmade and the toilet was overflowing. I immediately wanted a new clean room. I asked that my bedding be switched and it was not. They just made the bed over sheets that I wanted changed as they looked soiled. The bathtub glaze was peeling and carpet in the halls and elevator was disgustingly dirty.

Hall carpets, elevator carpet, windows filthy. 2nd floor tile outside elevator dirty with stains and not mopped, no facility instructions in room, had to hunt for workout room, treadmill filthy. Bathroom clean, room floor not cleaned in 4 days. Never again.

The room had so much humidity that the floors were wet when we arrived, linen was wet, furniture was sticky, room smelled moldy. The maintenance ppl said to keep the temp below 76, when we arrived it was set at 71° . It was the worst place i stayed at.

Bathroom was dirty, soap spots on sink and faucets, shower curtain liner was brown at the bottom and smelled like mildew, no plugs near the bed, no conditioner, wallpaper falling off the walls, fan in bathroom making a constant noise even when turned off. Horrible stay and I’m very mad that it cost me $134.

Room was incredibly dirty. We left. They would not allow a refund even though we were there for less than 45 minutes.

Roaches in the toliet. Hallways weren’t vacuumed. Room was not clean there were little white stuffing balls all over the place melted candy in the closet. We couldn’t get a refund and didn’t stay.

The water wasn't hot for the shower. There was dried dog poop in the stairwell. Other than that it was a good stay.

I really did not have a good first impression. The carpet in the elevator was dirty and stained. I was at the end of the hall (which was fine) but my key card would not open the door. I walked back downstairs (with all my bags) to get help. The girl behind desk reprogramed my cards and walked me back upstairs. The key worked... The room was quiet and clean. The blind was broken so I could not look outside to judge the weather. The same girl was behind the desk the next morning. She was pleasant.

The property smelled bad, like urine. We went to 4 different rooms. The smell was yhe same. Also, there was only a little girl doing the check-in and she was still at the desk the nect morning in the same clothing. The entire experience was disturbing. We will never return there and hope someone will investigate yhe appropriateness of it owners.

When I got to the room my door was a jar. Then I realized my door was very hard to shut and very hard to open. No biggie. Just thought I would state that room 208 the door is really difficult to open and close. The AC would not come on at all. When I got in the room. I finally got down on the floor and plugged it back in. Then it worked. It was adequate. Not as cold as I like it to be but it was okay for the evening. I liked the welcome with my name on the screen when I got there and we turned on TV. There was a variety of channels I like the guide etc. The room look really nice. It look clean. Great water pressure, bathroom was nice. Plenty of light. The room had plenty of light. I will say the charging port on the nightstand was broken so we could only use the one at the table. And when we came back from going to dinner the TV did not work. I did have to log into my Netflix but none of the channels worked. It said off air. It was already late. I didn't want to go get anyone because I was in my pajamas and I was not going to have somebody come in my room at that hour. I did mention it the next morning. They did apologize but honestly that was not a good thing since we like to just lay there having the TV on for noise and I really didn't want to log into my Netflix to have on that TV. Overall. The property's okay. The two hotels I stayed at before had better beds and pillows. But for the price it was okay.

The hotel was clean and quiet, bit the beds are like rocks!! The heat wouldnt cut off and seemed to just keep getting hotter.

Property under remodeling not sure if my room was finished or not but the bathroom still needed so work I did not take pictures like i usually do but the tub had a crack in it ,and was not clean baseboards was cracking and crumbling around the tub . The eoom was decent enough could have used a quick dusting I am a clean freak so i notice everything All in all I would stay here again

This is probably the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. The main part of the hotel looks fairly updated and clean. The rooms were another story. Our first room, the bathtub was so rusted out that giant chunks of the enamel were flaking off. We requested a new room which the front desk quickly took care of. Our new room smelled like a gym bag. But to be honest most of the hotel smelled like mildew and the room was otherwise mostly clean so we just dealt with it. The bathroom again looked like they had salvaged the tub and shower from somewhere condemned, but not as bad as the first room. While the desk staff was nice, you can tell nobody really knows what’s going on. We had a few issues with our keys not working and we got a call on our first day (had booked 2 nights) asking us if we were checking out soon. Like they didn’t know we were staying two nights. It was kinda odd. The breakfast was fine, nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel breakfast. My husband used the gym and said it was fine, apart from how awful it smelled. Convenient location right off 35. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

My brother and I stayed 2 days. It was very good. The only complaint was that the bathroom door was also the closet door. Open the closet and it roles shut on the bathroom. Open the bathroom and the closet is closed. Awkward for two trying to get ready at the same time.

The AC was nosey and didn’t work very well. Basic older hotel

Location and breakfast was good. The facilities and rooms are a little rundown. Not sure if we will stay there again.

First it sounded like someone was vacuum nonstop in the ceiling of the bathroom. Only when the louder than usual A/C kicked on it drowned out the noise. When went to the front desk got told that the hotel was haunted in a different room. He said they could change our room if it continues to be a problem. The condition of the room is needed an upgrade as the wall paper looked like it was getting ready to start peeling. The beds were really hard.

Walls are paper thin, there is a barn door for a bathroom door that doesn’t quite cover the area and there is one small elevator for the whole place. It’s fine.

The hotel was very helpful and very nice. hotels.com used a fake card on file and didn’t book a real room the hotel staff helped and took care of us and put us in a room. 5 stars to the Hamptoninn but hotels.com 0 stars to leave someone in a hotel at 12am in the morning with no room is unacceptable the HamptonInn staff thank you for all the help

The staff was excellent! The general manager went above and beyond to make our stay great! Very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.

Our room appeared clean but smelled so bad I couldn’t finish my meal in the room. We went to the front desk to ask for a new room and the phone was ringing off the hook and the workers were in the back laughing and talking.

We had a wonderful atay at the Hampton Inn in Edmond. The front desk people were professional and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was quiet.

The hotel was clean and welcoming! Our room was great, clean and plenty of room. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

I waited in the foyer for 20 minutes without anyone present at the front desk. Another individual was also waiting to check in and knocked on the back office door, but received no response. I then called the number listed on the business card, but the phone rang without an answer. My wife had to get the attention of a person in uniform with dreadlocks hairstyle to assist us.

I had booked through Hotels.com and the hotel did not have my reservation even though I had a confirmation number. At this point I have paid for the room twice and the receptionist at the Hampton was no help whatsoever. Plus the tv wouldn’t work in my room and once again no help from reception.

Our room had no hand soap so we came downstairs to wash our hands in the public bathroom, which also had no hand soap. The microwave in our room didn’t work. There was a giant booger on the bed spread. There was no conditioner and when we asked for a refill, they said they didn’t have any at all and there was none for purchase. The staff wasn’t helpful and didn’t seem to care. Will NOT be staying here again, which is a shame because we usually have great experiences at Hamptons. It was a disappointing stay.

Reservation stated wheelchair bound guest. Placed on 3rd floor in nonaccessable room. Stayed three nights. Asked each night to be moved, and request was not accommodated. Hotel staff rolled eyes at guest ahead of me in line. Early morning hotel staff sleeping on couch in lobby.

The hotel itself is great. 10/10. The drive to get in and out of the hotel's property is horrendous. Traffic is horrible and can be somewhat dangerous.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The bath towels are really small, but everything else was fine. The hotel is close to the highway and many restaurants down the road.

The indoor pool water was frigid, apparently no working heater. Usually, Hampton breakfasts are good, but this one had few choices, and the sausage tasted like cardboard.

The employees were very friendly, and the Breakfast was excellent. We plan to go back there very soon

Would definitely stay here again. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. There are a few things on the property needing some attention, but nothing to focus on. Definitely a great place to stay. Breakfast had ample selections and the coffee was hot and ready early. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.

Only negative was the breakfast hot items were not heated up at the 7am opening for breakfast

Stayed one night with my family at the hotel. Very comfortable bed and very tasty breakfast. Will definitely stay again. Also the staff was very helpful and patient

this hotel is quite a bit more tired than the last time we stayed three or four years ago. The staff is very nice, but a lot of things weren’t done well. Breakfast was late. Coffee was cold. We were assigned the wrong room. Security deposit was put on our bill that was unexpected, and hopefully will be returned.

It was nice and clean easy parking easy check in and the breakfast was a great variety of foods.

Great hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Looking forward to staying here again.
