Séjour atypique dans un palais italien. Voiture stationnée à l’intérieur de la cour fermée la nuit. Très bel accueil de Maurizio et Teresa. Avons déjeuner au Vivo le Re tenu par Maurizio. Très bon restaurant et juste en face du Palazzo.

This is a beautiful property. We stayed as a family of 4. The staff were amazing, breakfast very good and it’s a walk to Herculaneum. You need to call before you arrive to get in and have a parking place inside. We recommend Herculaneum before Pompeii as a visit so you see the better preserved first. For those that don’t mind a short drive and the real grande experience. The bedroom is fantastic.

Villa Durante was easily the most special and unique accommodation of our entire trip around Italy. From the warm welcome of the staff to the uniqueness of the palatial suite of rooms. Villa Durante is an original, palatial old villa built by a wealthy family in the 1700's/ 1800's. We stayed in the suite with the frescoed walls and it was truly amazing. The room itself was huge, and we also had two bathrooms, one incredibly ornate one fit for a Queen, as well as second bathroom and large dressing room area. The bed was supremely comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful and was brought into us each morning on a table for us to sit and enjoy in front of our balcony. Parking too is incredibly easy, it is on the premises in a gated private courtyard, and the location of Villa Durante itself is incredibly handy. Much easier to get to than we expected, and an amazing base to explore from. You can travel anywhere and we did, into downtown Naples or you can travel to the airport easily, or over to Vesuvius and Sorrento. Lastly, the incredible buried town of Herculaneum is literally just across the street. We saved ourselves a trip to Pompei and visited Herculaneum instead and were not disappointed. We agreed that we would always stay at Villa Durante again. We can't recommend it highly enough. Just loved it. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff.

A beautiful 17th century villa converted into a three room B&B. Literally steps away from Herculaneum and across the street from a reasonably priced Michelin restaurant. Private parking inside an enclosed courtyard. Helpful staff. Overall a fabulous place, where would certainly stay again.

Villa Durante is a lovely old villa that’s well located for Herculaneum. The room we stayed in was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early too. As well as the rooms, there’s a lovely lounge area and breakfast was served there for us. Would definitely stay there again

The door is easy to open from outside, but not easy to lock from inside. The breakfast is good. You can request milk. Easy to park since it has own parking spots, maybe only two since there are two units. I am not sure. The staff is nice.

Villa Durante was wonderful. The room was modern where you want it, yet kept the old-world ambience. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was needing to carry our suitcases up the uneven stone staircase to the main hotel door.

The hotel is a small b&b using a few rooms from a historic villa. The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was excellent. The car park onsite is very convenient. The room was beautiful, but the facilities are lacking a bit. The hot water ran out while I was running a bath, and there was no extra toilet paper and things just felt kind of spare. But I think you are paying for the extraordinarily beautiful space, which is very much a treat to be in. I found check-in and check-out confusing, but feel like my confusion was no fault of theirs. Breakfast was nice and served by the loveliest, friendliest woman. It was not quite what is pictured on their website, though. Not much to do around it, but I was also there on a Monday when it seems a lot if closed. It was definitely a beautiful, beautiful space.

Villa Durante was easily one of the coolest places I've ever stayed. The historic accommodations were so well appointed - impeccably clean, comfortable, and just absolutely lovely. The breakfast served each morning was beautiful and delicious, and our hosts were friendly, attentive, and kind. It was a wonderful experience to stay there, and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the region.

Excellent séjour. Superbe décoration et chambre très grande et confortable. Tout est très propre, le personnel disponible et parle anglais. Très bons petits déjeuners !! Simple vitrage … on entend bien la rue … mais c’est supportable, c’est l’Italie … Bonne base pour découvrir Naples, les îles, Pompéi, Herculanum et le Vésuve.

We stayed here because we went to Ercolano Scavi. Only 2 restaurants within waling distance and the Pizza place was good. Room is better in person than even in pics. Some items in disarray and broken (like mirror, etc) but our overall stay was amazing. The Breakfast... no words. Blew us away with the amazing food and presentation.

Beautiful place. About a 10 minute walk to the Herculaneum and plenty of restaurants. Room was cool and clean. Check in was easy. Breakfast was amazing each morning. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed 4 nights on our trip to Ercolano. Lovely room, comfy bed and pillows. Beautiful breakfast served each morning at a time of our choosing. Central area close to the town, Herculaneum and train station for trains to Naples and Sorrento etc.

Within seconds of meeting Maurizio we knew this would be an excellent stay. The whole family are fantastic--very personable, eager to help any way they can, and incredibly accommodating. Breakfast was spectacular with endless choices, and the property! Oh my what a spectacular villa. We had the suite and the views of the bay at sunset, the incredible vaulted ceilings and the amazing furnishings and decor were absolutely stunning. I do hope it wil be available on our next trip, what a fantastic stay!!!

What a great time we had. Teresa was a super host and the room was fantastic- huge double height space with murals on each wall. Lovely breakfast in the morning.

Eine einzigartige Übernachtungslocation. Beeindruckende Architektur, tolle Ausstattung. Wir hatten die Suite Mirella. Auch der Service vor Ort durch die drei super netten Damen ist sehr gut. Die anderen Zimmer liegen auch zur Straße. Ansonsten kann man das Hotel/Unterkunft wirklich nur empfehlen! Vielen Dank.

Ercolano och villa Durante var fantastiskt. Personalen på hotellet var så tillmötesgående, de kom exempelvis med genuina tips på restruanger och aktiviteter. Frukosten var fantastisk och dukades upp åt en. Rummen var fina och unika, inget vi upplevt innnan. Kaffet var ett av det bästa vi druckit. Rekomenderar varmt.

Villa Durante is a lovely old villa that’s well located for Herculaneum. The room we stayed in was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early too. As well as the rooms, there’s a lovely lounge area and breakfast was served there for us. Would definitely stay there again

We arrived from Naples airport quite late and was greeted by Francesca who was so helpful to guide the taxi driver to the villa door. Taxis are expensive and it cost us 65 euros. The villa is a hidden gem and each room is as stylish and beautiful as the pictures on the website. Our room was a mini suite which was spacious and comfortable with good AC. We arrived too late to go for dinner however there seemed to be various cafes / restaurants around. Francesca and Teresa arranged the most beautiful and delicious breakfast of croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt and perfect cappuccinos which they bought to our room. We visited Herculaneum which is literally 5 minutes walk away which is fantastic and really worth a visit. We cannot thank Francesca and Teresa enough for their kind hospitality to make this such a memorable stay. We had a short walk to the rail station to head off to Pompeii. Highly recommend.

Great stay, the proximity to Herculaneum is outstanding! Such a great and unique hotel! It’s like staying in a palatial estate! The breakfast spread is amazing! Francesca’s suggestions were spot on and made our experience much more enjoyable! Theresa was so sweet and welcoming! We enjoyed our time here very much!

Within seconds of meeting Maurizio we knew this would be an excellent stay. The whole family are fantastic--very personable, eager to help any way they can, and incredibly accommodating. Breakfast was spectacular with endless choices, and the property! Oh my what a spectacular villa. We had the suite and the views of the bay at sunset, the incredible vaulted ceilings and the amazing furnishings and decor were absolutely stunning. I do hope it wil be available on our next trip, what a fantastic stay!!!

The staff at the Villa Durante were outstanding! They were professional, friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcomed. The family suite was spectacular; the entire Villa was a testament to days gone by and made us feel like we had been transported back in time. A delicious breakfast was delivered to our room. The Villa is a very short walk to the Herculaneum and various restaurants and outdoor cafes. Staff at Villa Durante made a dinner reservation for us at Lo Re and our experience was superb! We highly recommend the Villa Durante and cannot say enough good things about the lovely ladies running this establishment.

Delightful experience that was 1st class. Beautiful property, excellent staff, great recommendations for excursions, dining, and touring the local area. All special requests were addressed. The villa was full but we were treated as though we were the only family staying at the villa Durante. Would return to the accommodation without any reservation. Over the top experience .

Villa Durante was like stepping back in time! The room was perfect for a family and provided space and privacy. The staff was very helpful. Beautiful breakfast was provided. I wish I realized staff was not on property though. We weren’t sure if we were there completely alone or not and when we had questions at night we didn’t know what to do. We took the “closest” train stop, but I recommend getting off at Ercolano Scavi to experience the town a bit. The other stop had us thinking we were very isolated, but really weren’t.

This place is magnificent!! Beautifully restored with spectacular wall frescos and superb facilities - oh and you must try the bath!!! The location area is a little tired, but you couldn’t ask to be closer to the fabulous ruins of Herculaneum - which are well worth a half day visit. We love to come back

If you’re planning to visit Pompeii or Herculaneum, please consider this hotel. It’s absolutely stunning. We had the entire villa to ourselves for two nights and the hosts were very hospitable and the breakfast was very cool too. They come in serve it to you in your room. the location is very close to Herculaneum that you can walk to it.

Good location for restaurants and visiting Herculaneum in Ercolano. Short train journey to either Naples or Pompeii and small book able tour coach leaves the train station each morning to visit Vesuvius weather permitting. Very comfortable accommodation with breakfast and fully recommend for a unique Italian experience.

It was one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. The villa itself was so grand we felt like royalty! Teresa our host was excellent, she was super friendly and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. It has a great location only 20 minutes drive from the Mt Vesuvius climb and around the same to the ruins of Pompeii. It is also walking distance to the other lesser known ruins of Herculaneum. I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Durante to anyone visiting this area, great for convenience but outstanding for the bucket list experience! We will be back.

The hotel is a small b&b using a few rooms from a historic villa. The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was excellent. The car park onsite is very convenient. Do not stay at a airport hotel. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for convenience to the Naples Airport and a unique experience. The hotel is also conveniently located near the herculaneum ruins.

Theresa really made our stay! Despite the language barrier she went all out to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. Such a lovely friendly girl. Her breakfast was beautiful! In such incredible surrounding. This villa is stunning and so well preserved. Amazing library and artwork. Also, if you can, do eat in their restaurant across the road, Michelin recommended I believe and absolutely deserving of it.

Villa Durante was easily the most special and unique accommodation of our entire trip around Italy. From the warm welcome of the staff to the uniqueness of the palatial suite of rooms. Villa Durante is an original, palatial old villa built by a wealthy family in the 1700's/ 1800's. We stayed in the suite with the frescoed walls and it was truly amazing. The room itself was huge, and we also had two bathrooms, one incredibly ornate one fit for a Queen, as well as second bathroom and large dressing room area. The bed was supremely comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful and was brought into us each morning on a table for us to sit and enjoy in front of our balcony. Parking too is incredibly easy, it is on the premises in a gated private courtyard, and the location of Villa Durante itself is incredibly handy. Much easier to get to than we expected, and an amazing base to explore from. You can travel anywhere and we did, into downtown Naples or you can travel to the airport easily, or over to Vesuvius and Sorrento. Lastly, the incredible buried town of Herculaneum is literally just across the street. We saved ourselves a trip to Pompei and visited Herculaneum instead and were not disappointed. We agreed that we would always stay at Villa Durante again. We can't recommend it highly enough. Just loved it. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff.

After growing tired of cold, cookie-cutter modern hotels, we were searching for a place with genuine old-world charm and character. We found exactly that at Villa Durante. The property is absolutely beautiful, full of elegance and history, and provided a truly memorable experience. The owner and staff were warm, gracious hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are so glad we chose this wonderful hidden gem. The owner and staff were warm, gracious hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are so glad we chose this wonderful hidden gem. Villa Durante was a lovely stay for my two sisters and I. The villa was large and very accommodating, we had plenty of space and two bathrooms was a nice bonus! The hosts were so kind and accommodating. The daily breakfast was an absolute delight! A bit of a walk from the train station, and we struggled with the Naples area public transportation but the Villa Durante made it a memorable stay for sure!
