I loved the spacious super dark and quiet room in the middle of the action. Breakfast on the rooftop was my highlight - it is beautiful and delicious. Gerne wieder !

Friendliest staff, great amenities and very cool rooftop bar. This boutique hotel is quiet despite being on a busy street, well located to good restaurants, bars, the river.

A lovely modern hotel in the heart of Basel. The room was large with lots of nice touches such as a free minibar. Despite being near a number of bars and clubs we found the soundproofing excellent.

Hôtel moderne bien situé proche à la fois de la gare et en plein centre ville. Les chambres sont bien décorées, dans un style contemporain sobre et chaleureux. Belle terrasse prolongeant ma chambre. Un beau rooftop bar pour le soir, avec terrasse. Un bel hôtel moderne avec une touche branchée.

Lovely hotel in centre of Basel. Nice staff, nice breakfast (extra) and free mini bar (not re stocked during stay which was a shame). Only irritation - very noisy of a weekend as hotel is right on Main Street on top of bars. Woke on Saturday night / Sunday morning by a brawl outside window. To be fair hotel make you aware of risk of noise - but only after you have booked it. Nice place tho and very pleasant rooms and very comfortable with pleasant open plan design.

We received a free room upgrade due to the bad weather. Room was gorgeous and included a free minibar and card that gave free transport around the city and discounts at certain museums.

The hotel was very nice. Accessible to Old Basel, the room was clean and the staff was more than helpful, they were, in a word, delightful. The only drawback (which is not their fault) was that there is no air conditioning, due to regulations for new buildings in the city built after 2021. It was quite hot the first night we were there, so a bit uncomfortable. We were given a fan for the second night which made all the difference. You have to ask for one, they don't automatically make one available. Overall, though, I would give this hotel very high marks.

We were upgraded, which was quite a nice surprise. Check in was very easy, reception was very friendly. Room was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location was also very convenient to the train station but also shopping areas. Breakfast was the only criticism- the food was fresh but for the price, I would have appreciated a few more warm options.

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit schöner Einrichtung. Sauber! Zentral, dennoch keine Geräuschbelästigung. Zimmer generell sehr ruhig. Kostenlose Minibar und Kaffee, Tee, Wasser in der Lounge. Frühstück war überschaubar, aber mit regionalen Produkten - sehr lecker. Parkmöglichkeit (kostenpflichtig) im Parkhaus in der Nähe, fußläufig gut erreichbar Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Very nice hotel-clean, close to train station (walked it both ways), would stay here again. Only issue, which is part of the hotel design, is that the area of the bathroom is not walled off-instead, there are sliding doors that are covered in a heavy paper, which does not make them soundproof. Too easy to hear what is going on in the bathroom if there are two people in the room. But I would still return to this hotel.

The hotel staff was excellent. The location of the hotel is perfectly placed in the old city easy to find and very close to the SBB train station. The rooms are beautifully updated. Have a very Swiss modern feel. I suggest getting a room on the front side of the hotel, preferably a higher floor.

I really like the hotel except for the enormous amount of noise (people partying, "music" playing, etc) coming from the street until 2am or so. I couldn't sleep despite closed windows.

The interiors and room quality is excellent. However the hotel is in a shopping and restaurant centre so it feels very odd and there is a great deal of external noise. Our very large window looks out on to a service yard... That said the location in town is good, so fine for a one night stopover.

Large beautiful and comfortable room, only diwnside is a pet peeve, not enough places to hang towels, and they dont provide a bag for taking dirty laundry home. Really good location, in the middle of everything.

Picked the Hotel for closeness to the station a 10 minute walk. Stylish hotel in the heart of Basel in walking distance to all the major attractions. Lots of dining choices nearby. Reception staff excellent,room superbly large by European standards,breakfast good variety. Would definitely return

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen. Auch die Lage an sich war toll, da in der Straße viele Bars und Restaurants waren. Leider war es dadurch bis spät in die Nacht sehr laut, sodass man kaum schlafen konnte und erst recht kein Fenster auf machen konnte.

The rooms are so cute & the staff are beyond helpful with where to go what to see where to eat etc etc etc. Such a cute hotel and right in the center of town so it is so easy to get around and go site seeing! it was perfect

The hotel staff was excellent. The location of the hotel is perfectly placed in the old city easy to find and very close to the SBB train station. The rooms are beautifully updated. Have a very Swiss modern feel. I suggest getting a room on the front side of the hotel, preferably a higher floor.

A lovely modern hotel in the heart of Basel. The room was large with lots of nice touches such as a free minibar. Despite being near a number of bars and clubs we found the soundproofing excellent.

Picked the Hotel for closeness to the station a 10 minute walk. Stylish hotel in the heart of Basel in walking distance to all the major attractions. Lots of dining choices nearby. Reception staff excellent,room superbly large by European standards,breakfast good variety. Would definitely return

We enjoyed our stay here very much, the location is very central to the train station and trams, as well as easily walkable to main tourist attractions. The hotel is on a bustling street with late night bars. The breakfast buffet is provided with fee, but it was very delicious.

The hotel was very creatively designed and decorated. A lot of attention was paid to artistic detail. The location is very convenient but the area is also a center for club activity so the music and yelling by club patrons goes on until after 3 AM on weekends. Earplugs are definitely needed to get a good night's rest on these nights.

Lovely hotel in centre of Basel. Nice staff, nice breakfast (extra) and free mini bar (not re stocked during stay which was a shame). Only irritation - very noisy of a weekend as hotel is right on Main Street on top of bars. Woke on Saturday night / Sunday morning by a brawl outside window. To be fair hotel make you aware of risk of noise - but only after you have booked it. Nice place tho and very pleasant rooms and very comfortable with pleasant open plan design.

I loved the spacious super dark and quiet room in the middle of the action. Breakfast on the rooftop was my highlight - it is beautiful and delicious. Gerne wieder !

We were upgraded, which was quite a nice surprise. Check in was very easy, reception was very friendly. Room was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location was also very convenient to the train station but also shopping areas. Breakfast was the only criticism- the food was fresh but for the price, I would have appreciated a few more warm options.

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit schöner Einrichtung. Sauber! Zentral, dennoch keine Geräuschbelästigung. Zimmer generell sehr ruhig. Kostenlose Minibar und Kaffee, Tee, Wasser in der Lounge. Frühstück war überschaubar, aber mit regionalen Produkten - sehr lecker. Parkmöglichkeit (kostenpflichtig) im Parkhaus in der Nähe, fußläufig gut erreichbar Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Lovely spacious modern clean room, staff super friendly and helpful, a very good location between SBB station and old town. However, mattresses on the beds are absolutely dire - very cheap - the springs collapse when you lie on them giving little comfort - they really need to replace these with memory foam / better quality mattresses. Also beware that at present there is a major building renovation directly opposite which means you cannot open windows due to extreme drilling and banging noise although when closed very quiet BUT no air conditioning in this hotel (apparently a strange local law for new premises).

Sleek modern hotel. Good location. Great staff. Breakfast extensive but pricey with no option for just a croissant and coffee (in room coffee and in lobby available). Bathroom separated from room by just a suggestion of a door. No privacy if two in the room.

I had a very pleasant stay at ArtHouse. That is mainly due to the staff whom were all excellent. In particular the receptionist Till, who went out of his way to assist with an external problem I had in Basel. Another advantage to many hotels in Basel Is that they have 24h reception. Very useful for people arriving late in the city and are expecting deliveries, etc. during the busy ArtBasel week. Highly recommend!!
