Comfort Inn Dartmouth

There is no elevator. Poorly supplied breakfast. Out of several items. Few options. Overflowing garbage in the dining room 2 days in a row. Overheated dining room. Outside eating area not wiped down from overnight rain. Overall not value for money.

The rooms were super clean and fresh decor but the hotel itself lacks updating, no elevator and the breakfast was sub par. Staff was not very nice at check inn, no smiles or welcome or anything

People were outside smoking up.. hanging around. Felt very unsafe. No elevator to help with our luggage. Had to bring it up the stairs which was not an easy task.

When people from Halifax picture what Dartmouth looks like, I'm sure they picture a neighbourhood like the one this Comfort Inn is in - car dealerships, a small strip mall (with, thankfully, a King of Donair), a U-Haul depot - in short, you do not stay at this location for the ambience. On the other hand, it is exactly what you want if you just need a place to sleep - reasonable price, bed was fine, good transit location (about 1/2 way between the two bridges) if you have a car, - free parking! Breakfast was the standard North American style - bacon and/or sausages and/or ham, scrambled eggs, a few types of cereals and muffins, yoghurt, waffle maker, etc. I went down right at the beginning so everything was hot and tasty.

Room was spotless. Food was good. Parking was great.

Clean, quite, overall a good place to stay. no elevator which made it inconvenient for family with a baby(lots of things to carry including a stroller). they did forget to provide a playpen which I asked and confirmed twice before we checked in.

Tv needs to be update. There must be a staff to help with luggage no body was there to help. Its hard to lift the bags to keep them upstairs on 2nd floor without help or without elevator

This is an old, tired hotel in need of renovation. Also the late shift staff is anything but helpful. For one, this hotel has no lift which is a pain if you arrive with heavy luggage, and the evening staff decides to give you a second floor room, and subsequently doesn't offer to help you carry the heavy luggage upstairs. Then, for a multiple night stay, the staff only activated my keys for one night and then blamed 'some technical failure'. They don't take responsibility, they offer no apologies. Arrogant at worst and unfriendly at best. Also, the price/quality ratio is horrible at almost $300/night. Massively overpriced, but so were all the other hotels in the neighbourhood. Do not recommend. Stay somewhere else.

Found live bedbug in the morning in the bed. Took photo and dead body to manager and she did a refund for the room. Now worried that I am carrying them around in my suitcase.. Uggg!

Service at the front desk was good and the room looked fine upon check in but I woke up with what appears to be a trail of bed bug bites. I looked for other reviews online and saw that someone had killed a bed bug in this hotel 4 months ago so I am fairly confident that they have not remedied the problem. I will not be staying here again and I can only pray that I didn’t leave with any hitchhikers.

Room was very clean! Breakfast was also very good with lots of options. Staff were lovely.

Room was very dirty. Curtins had hand prints and the lamp shade rim was black from dirt

The room had a musty smell . The pillows were terrible. The people next to us had music blaring .

Breakfast has yogurt and fruits and wheat bread. Room was a bit small but beds and pillows were comfortable.

The TV wasn't working properly and the heat was a little cumbersome to regulate but it was clean and comfortable even if rather expensive the night of our stay.

Wir waren von diesem Comfort Inn etwas enttäuscht. - Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht - Die Heizung funktionierte nicht - Die Dusche funktionierte nicht richtig - Der Frühstücksbereich war viel zu klein für die Anzahl Gäste, so dass man warten musste um einen Platz ergattern zu können. Positiv: Das Zimmer war sauber und die Betten waren gut.

Area a bit off set from main Dartmouth area, rooms were a nice size, but noisy fridge in room.

the king bed was nice but the bathroom was small and needs updating. the breakfast was ok.

Super rude and unprofessional staff . Must be under new management as I’ve stayed here several times as I own a medical clinic for veterans down the road. And have never been treated with such unprofessionally till this trip.

First time staying and was pleasantly surprised when we entered.The room was very clean staff were very friendly and helpful.Would stay again.

Randy or the front desk attendant was awful!!!! i have a knee surgery coming up can’t do stairs. she wouldn’t accommodate me like the hampton or Hilton. i spend A lot of money traveling from NB to Costa rica and Mexico to our places. So i thought i would try something new better price… cards didn’t work i had too walk up and down to the second floor twice to try them. Every other hotel is so accommodating to put me on the first floor if no elevator. i won’t be back. very disappointed and extremely rude front desk women on a power trip! you just lost me and everyone i know as a clientele, breakfast staff sunday May 12 was amazing! i will personally tell everyone i know to NEVER go to this location, waiting for surgery on a knee replacement since covid and very obvious rooms were available on the first floor disgusts me. i have owned and operated our businesses since 1992 REID HERITAGE HOMES Guelph ont….. we won’t be back! others will be warned.

We thought our refrigerator wasn't working. One staffer, Mohammed, showed genuine concern and suggested/ offered various solutions. I much appreciated his interest, which was genuine. (Fridge turned out to be OK!)

Hotel was very clean and well kept. Front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. A special shout out to the breakfast attendant who worked very hard to make sure all the food was always fully stocked and provided excellent service to the patrons who ate there.

Everything was great with the exception of the bathroom sink which would not drain properly. I phoned the front desk and they phoned me back to say they could not fix it until the next morning. They did offer me another room but we were tired after a long day of shopping so I declined. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Breakfast had a wide selection of food. Room was clean and bed was comfy. The person who checked us in was friendly but didn't really communicate great. Not what i am used to when i check into other hotels. We were on the second floor and had to ask where the stairs were to get to the second floor as they didn't mention it to us when we checked in. Also didn't mention the wifi password or that it was inside the room card holder (i looked inside the card holder as i know that is where other hotels put it) or what time breakfast started. Also, my address was not showing up correctly on the tablet and the person entered my correct info into the system. She mentioned to me to confirm on the tablet so i was standing there waiting for my correct address to appear and it wasn't so i mentioned my address was still incorrect. The person finally mentioned that it will not show on the tablet but to just confirm the other info. I said that i was standing there waiting for my correct address as she mentioned to confirm it on the tablet. I am used to either tapping the key to the door or inserting the key to open the door but this key card needed to be held an inch or two away from the door to open the door. I had to have them come up as i couldn't open the door. Entered the room.and it was cold. Had to have the front desk come back up as i couldn't get the heat/ac unit to work. Apparently, the unit was shut off at the power plug and needed to be switched on. Hotel was clean and quie

Decently maintained property for the price, and easy access to the MacDonald bridge and downtown Halifax.

Close to Dartmouth Crossing for shopping and eating. Easy access to highway, for travel to Mic Mac Mall, just minutes away and access to MacKay bridge to Halifax. ideal for our 2 night stay for weekend things we wanted to do. Breakfast great with necessary variety to suit one's need.

Clean, modern, beds comfortable. Would recommend and a quick 15 min drive to downtown Halifax

The location has easy access to the highway as well as close to the ferry port. The hotel is older, and needs some cleaning if carpet stains, but the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and a good selection of hot and cold options for breakfast.

Clean room breakfast wasn't great frozen muffins sausage burnt and coffe was empty and nobody around to ask to fill it. Heater in the room was very loud which led to a restless nights sleep, person who checks me in was not very friendly and was a little bit abrupt

I found this stay to be comfortable. Bed was great. Breakfast was hot and good with many options; I have to avoid wheat and there were many options for me. Staff were very helpful. I would stay here again.

Was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good as well , was able to have a later check out time as we were here from New Brunswick for medical appointment, well come again soon.

Other than google maps wanting to take us to the nearby Uhaul place across the street, we had a great experience. Checking in was seamless and the continental breakfast was better than most hotels in the same price point around North America that I’ve stayed in. Room clean, bed comfy, decent shower water pressure ;) would recommend
