Our stay at the Ramada by Wyndham Birmingham Airport from October 9–12 was, unfortunately, very disappointing and by far our worst hotel experience. Upon arrival, there was a long line at check-in with only one attendant working. As a result, it took quite a while to get checked in. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel did not improve from there. Both the common areas and our room appeared poorly maintained and in need of attention. The breakfast experience was particularly disappointing. The breakfast area had a small warmer containing a limited amount of eggs and sausage, while the water and orange juice were empty. No one came out to replenish the food or beverages, and when we asked about getting more, the response from the staff was less than welcoming. For a hotel offering breakfast as an amenity, we expected a much better experience. The fitness center was also essentially unusable. There was a bench but no free weights, and the only cable machine had broken cables, making it impossible to get a meaningful workout. Overall, the combination of the slow check-in, lack of maintenance, poor breakfast service, and unusable fitness center made this a very disappointing stay. While we understand that hotels can occasionally have issues, there were problems across multiple areas of the property that significantly impacted our experience. Unfortunately, based on this stay, we would not choose to stay at this property again.

This building needs to be condemned, half the rooms on the top floor were closed from the roof giving out during some rain, there was obvious mold growth from years of neglect, the pillow cases were dirty the towels were dirty and had holes in them, I don’t think there was anything clean in the entire hotel

This place was horrible. The bathroom was rusted, smell in the hallways, very old furniture. I was very uncomfortable there. I will never stay there again.
