Lakeview Inns & Suites - Hinton

The absence of an elevator presented a logistical challenge in transporting my luggage to my assigned accommodations.

Service was great. Parking was close to my room. Breakfast was awesome.

Great location to visit lake Louise and Moraine, however after a full day of walking and hiking, not having an elevator was a little inconvenient.

Although it is near the highway the room is quite. The rooms are quite large, with microwave, fridge. Also plug ins curbside for diesel engine block heaters. Property is well kept. Walking for dinner you have only one dining option, next door. There are a number of restaurants nearby - short car ride.

Absolutely loved the room, breakfast wasn't the best, by time we got to the dining room around 7am there was nothing left and nothing filled up. The parking was bad, so many work trucks taking up two stalls and taking up the whole parking lot. Had to park far both nights.

Great place to stay. Great staff to accommodate your needs. Parking was limited and tight if the place was full. Good value for the money. Thank you for the free Breakfast. Will book again when I am back in town.

Easy access, first hotel off the highway. Close to restaurants, clean facilities, quiet.

This is a terrific place, great staff,quiet, clean and easy parking. Restaurant is fantastic. I highly recommend the place.

Love the layout of the room. Parking is not so great. It’s filled with trucks taking up multiple parking stalls.

Room is spacious and free parking just infront of your room (depend on where is your room located)

Room was huge but so dirty and outdated it was a stressful stay. Too many issues to name but the worst parts for us were the outdated and filthy showers and sinks; the moldy carpet; and the access strange access. We don't mind stairs, but you have to walk up 4 flights and down 1 more to get to the second floor in a crazy maze. My husband took anasty tumble when carrying heavy suitcases, it was not good. The only positive we can offer is that the rooms were huge (2 floors), showing potential if the next owners care about their guests. We would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Underneath both beds weren't cleaned before our stay, found opened food. Various lights and head dryers weren't working. Dishes in cabinet was dirty before our arrival

Bathrooms could have been cleaner. I found Black Mold in the upstairs bathroom and i have an autoimmune disease

The room wasn’t clean, There were dried spills on the end tables by the bed. The staff were very easy to deal with and the room was large and lovely, just not clean. Also, there wasn’t enough food at breakfast and I showed up at 8 and it was gone.

Room was clean but a bit dated. We had a room that had a Queen bed downstairs and a King bed in the loft which also had a bathroom on each floor for a very reasonable price.

very friendly front desk service, we arrived in late night, but the front desk girl gave us very warm welcome, that`s very impressive. Good and clean room, easy park.

This property is old and is showing its age. Our room was clean but the curtains had holes and the room could use some updating. The bed seemed fairly comfortable but I woke up with what looked like bites on my thigh. I don’t know if it was from the bed or from when we were outside or in the restaurant next door. For the price we paid and the conditions of the property, we will not be going back.

Unfortunately, my experience here wasn’t great. The cleanliness of the room was below standard, and it didn’t seem like it had been properly cleaned. The breakfast also wasn’t good.

Washrooms, had hair and an actual bar of soap stuck to the wall. The landline phone did not work. Neither did one of the tvs. Ceiling fan, and bathroom fans were covered in dust, black dust.

The loft is spacious with 2 living areas and bathrooms. That's the only good thing about this place. Otherwise, it's not a good place to stay: 1. The upstairs can get very hot on a summer day and window can't be opened. Plus the A/C is located downstairs, so it stays hot all night. This happened to us on the first night and the manager tried but didn't have a solution and wasn't willing to give us another unit. 2. Everything is old - shower stall have molds and the upstairs shower randomly shuts off hot water. So you can get a cold surprise! 3. The staff is polite but can't solve any problem.

The room we had was a 2 storey room but had air conditioning only on one floor, that was inconvenient for the people sleeping upstairs. Also the shower area in the upstair washroom is too small for normal size adults. Breakfast was nice.

We liked how spacious our room was, it had a king bed & bathroom upstairs with tv. On main area a queen bed, bath, tv and kitchenette. The free breakfast had all we needed to eat so we enjoyed it. Staff was very welcoming and had that ask and will assist anyway I can attitude. Great stay, would stay again

The room we were in was excellent. Spacious, clean, all the amenities one would expect, plus a kitchen area. (No cooktop, but that was okay). In addition to all that a bonus area! An upstairs loft with a king bed, a 3/4 bath, also very spacious. Probably one of the top three best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. What I didn’t like was the policy of charging an additional $100 damage deposit upon check in, without prior notice. The free breakfast was a real disappointment. Mystery meat labeled as sausage, what looked like powdered eggs made into little patties, and beans? But there was cold cereal as an option, and the apple juice tasted good.

We liked the extra room space, we had the two level room with two beds and two bathrooms. The dishes were not properly cleaned in the cupboards (providing dish soap would be amazing). Minimal choice for channels for a family to watch on the cable provided, standard breakfast was good. Advised the staff one toilet was running and they advised they would fix by our second night and it was not fixed. Beds were great and room was clean and we are happy with our stay but rooms do show their wear and tear.

Room layout on two floors with two washrooms was perfect for our family of six. Responsive staff. Great value. We would stay here again.

The loft suite is very suitable for a quick family trip. Nice to have 2 beds and a sofa bed for the price. The heater can be loud for night time. The hotel is a bit outdated and needs a bit of a retouch. The free breakfast is a plus.

I paid extra to stay in a loft, hoping it would be quiet but the pipes kept knocking all night and kept waking me up.

Breakfast was not bad but the manager when our check out was rude and does not know how to handle the complaints. I’ve never encountered a front manager like her especially when she’s handling the customers. Also the garbage bin was in front of our window and we can smelled the garbage.

I felt like a nuisance to the front stuff. They are the most un-accommodating bunch I’ve ever came across. This property has great potential but has some areas that are lacking. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Rooms are spacious.

All staff were friendly and courteous. Great value for the full suite with kitchens. Clean and quiet. I'd definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel with a good complimentary breakfast. This was our second stay—our first visit was great. We wanted one room for 4 adults and 2 kids (since two adults are seniors), but booking through Expedia kept giving us two rooms. We booked as 2 adults and 2 kids, like last time, when it wasn’t a problem. This time, though, the front desk called us right away while still walking to our room asking for extra charges for the additional adults. I was willing to pay, but the way it was handled felt abrupt and unfriendly. The hotel is still nice, but the customer service could be more understanding, especially for returning guests

1) The hotel advertising is misleading. The photos show two pictures of lakes which is non-existent. Of the 33 photos posted, photos 4 and 10 show a picture of a lake, leading to the belief that the hotel is by the lakeside. When I book the hotel, the description for Photo #4 reads, "Escape to a serene lakeside retreat with a balcony overlooking the tranquil water and surrounding forest." and photo 10 caption reads, "Escape to a serene mountain retreat surrounded by a dense forest and tranquil lake," Upon reaching the hotel I enquire, where is the tranquil lake, I was told that there is no such thing. Today, when I opened their photos again, they have changed the captions of both these photos to Point of Interest. Because the name of the hotel says, Lakeview Inns, and with two photos indicating that the lake could indeed be in the property vicinity, which is not the case. I had the option to book a better nearby hotel for at least $25 less. They lured me into believing that I am booking a hotel with a lake view and retreat into the serene environment, which was not the case. They lure and they scam! What a shame! I had a better impression of Canada, but after this experience. It left much to be desired from these scamsters. Oh yes, at 4:00 AM, their bedframe collapsed, depriving me and my son of a good night's sleep. When I brought this to their attention, they expressed remorse, but guess what, they partially refunded my deposit. What a double standard. Shame on you, cheap!

Great location

The room was basic and ok, like the breakfast. Never saw a lake even though lakeview is the name. It’s near a busy highway and commercial strip but the room was quiet. Beautiful lobby, friendly helpful staff.

Good highway motel which was clean and relatively quiet.

Hotel is easy to assess from highway but still quite in the area. Restaurants are minutes away of driving with enough choices. Scenic viewpoints are around within local driving distances. Staff are friendly, rooms and carpet are clean versus the hotel age. The two-storey Suite setup is perfect for small families with functional kitchenette.

Not too much variety for breakfast, oranges were quite bad, no yoghurt or milk, just some basic stuff. Room was clean, but upstairs toillet was leaking all night. Loud noises from the heating system or pipes which kept us up at night. The building could use some upgrades overall.

Clean room, comfy beds, breakfast with eggs, yogurt, cereal, bread, ham, muffins, fruits. Quiet place. Shower is wonderful

Staff and service were excellent, room rates were great, hotel in general was excellent with a very clean modern layout. The breakfast room was spacious, clean and inviting, the breakfast itself however was poor, really bad coffee and limited food options, we were expecting far better from an otherwise great modern style hotel, the cut off time needs to be at least 10:00 am. Either greatly improve the breakfast experience or do not offer it at all, Tim Horton's should not be preferable to the breakfast offered at this relatively higher end accommodation.

Pleasantly surprised! Had a great stay. Staff were wonderful and helpful, always cheerful in interactions. Spacious rooms and well equipped. The included breakfast was awesome with great variety and staff actively refilling/replacing things.

On the edge of the business district with a restaurant next door, gas station close by, and right off the highway, but still very little traffic noise as site is well below height of highway. Breakfast was disappointing. Waffle mix was so thick, it took a long time to cook. No fresh fruit, noticed only cream cheese packages, no pastries, just the basics

We had a pleasant stay at Lakeview Inn & Suites in Hinton. The rooms were easily accessible from the parking area, which was very convenient. The breakfast was great. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable experience
