Riu Lupita - All Inclusive

We had an all around good trip. We really enjoyed the beach club and how safe our items were when we left them on our chairs.

Quelques fois, l’autobus est plein, nous devons attendre le prochain. Le vendredi soir, super party au RIU Tequila. Attention, encore une fois, autobus au demi-heure, rien ne se fait à pieds. Le buffet correct mais décevant pour le Mexique. 2 petites piscines. Une tranquille et l’autre pour la famille. Le kid club était fermé.

We received a welcome drink, and the guest services team was super helpful. However, the food was just okay - nothing spectacular. One thing to note is that the resort isn't directly on the beach, and you'll need to catch a shuttle that runs on a limited schedule. The pool was nice, but the hours were restricted, and I wished it was open 24/7 with swim-at-your-own-risk signs. The rooms were clean but basic, and the beds were extremely hard - almost rock-hard. The bathrooms were decent, but nothing to write home about. Overall, the pros outweighed the cons for us, but I’d recommend being aware of these details before booking. I met some great people while traveling here. I would book again if needed to make a last minute trip.

Beach club closed to early and buses stop running to early.

There's no beach on the property and NO elevators. The food was awesome but I wanted more of a vacation with sun and sand and this place is NOT it.

Small resort, nice and cozy and easy to walk through and find everything. One main bar and pool, plus a side pool for quiet relaxation. We didn't use all the amenities, but we did notice a gym, tennis court, chess board, ping pong table, and a kid's club (I know I am missing certain things). There were 3 specialty restaurants: Mexican food, Italian food, and Steakhouse. Good size resort for a small trip (i.e. one week). There were also extra excursions that were offered for an extra price. Riu Lupita did make special accomodations for my partner's birthday, which was really something extra! 8/10 great resort for the cost.

Pros: Food - was excellent, Staff - Very helpful and understanding Entertainment - Was done before it got too late Room Attendants - Most were very good and went the extra mile for the guests. The Shop Clerk inside the hotel was very helpful. Cons - There were two pools - One was kept great and the other quiet pool had leaves and particulars in the water. There was no direct access to the peach and you have to take a bus to get to it. That was a bummer. Some of the Front Desk Clerks were not too sure as to what to do in certain situations. They were not proactive. The toilet bowl had a crack in it. One of the two cups left in my room to make coffee was chipped. Under the bed was not properly cleaned prior to our arrival. Some of the guests were not on their best behavior around other guests. Police Presence was required on one of the evenings we were there.

Budget friendly, no beach on site

I don’t really know how to review this place. For an all inclusive the food was above average. The property was calm and had a lot of wildlife which was nice. The workers and employees were well above average for an all inclusive. The value for the price was excellent. The bus to the beach was okay. The beach was nice, the ocean not able to swim in. Drinks were strong and decent liquor selection. You got a free pass to the Riu party. The nightly entertainment was above average.

The cleanliness

I had an excellent time. The facilities were very clean, the staff was very nice and helpful and anything I needed was either accessible or the resort would have it accessible for me.

Water in the pool by restaurants wasn’t clear enough and water in the pool in quite area was dirty a lot of bags floatingin the water and stuff from the trees when we got checked in in the room I was shocked The area when the ceiling fan touched the ceiling was full of webs and dirt. The lamp on the wall by the bed was hanging out, was broken. The pictures on the wall they were dirty, and the sheets were dirty. The extra blankets was stiffed as a linen fabric very Very old the view from the room was like Bumped area a lot of pieces of the Building walls. When I booked this resort it did show its four stars resorts I don’t think so!! Dose not has even too it’s very poor. We had to drive to the beach every day about 15-20 minutes I’m very old buses, and we weren’t able to swim in the sea because of seaweed covered almost half of the Beach because nobody Took care of it . Seaweed season is all over Caribbean area. Any other resorts take care of it we weren’t even able noticed that it is seaweed season. In this resort the smell terrible smell was all around because of the seaweed laying on the beach forever and no access to the sea to swim at all I am very disappointed. I would never recommend to anybody to visit this resort. We paid 600 per person for three days and it was price on sale. I don’t understand the pictures on Expedia showing beautiful rooms and area all these pictures do not match even in 1/3 of a reality. Stuff of the hotel is very very nice.

La chambre est grande et spacieuse dotée d'un lit king size nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une chambre à étage comme nous l'avions spécifié de la réservation. Le ménage est fait tous les jours ma chambre a toujours été impeccable

Hotel was good , clean and good food. Rooms a bit dated and dark. Outside in certain areas (accommodation area) needs refreshed. I usually stay at Riu hotels and this one was slightly outdated in areas. All in all for budget great place.

Beds were hard. Water would fall out the shower leavening water everywhere. Mold on mirrors and walls.

Horrible hotel. First is was dirty, towels smell, roaches in the room, dirty pool. Then the buffet is garbage with the same things you don’t want to eat all the time and the people that work there are rude, wont even let you take a bowl of fruit to your room without harrassing you about it and asking you questions that don’t apply. One of the things I like es was that they have cats but they ruined that because I think my wife and I are the only ones who des then for 2 weeks except for when I specifically asked the staff to feed them and they acted like I was crazy. Thats maybe half of the horrible stuff. Any other hotel is better, don’t waist your money

Most of the staff were very nice. There were a few bartenders who mocked me for my Spanish speaking efforts. The beds were rock hard, like sleeping on the floor. The food options between breakfast and dinner were VERY limited. The wildlife on property was a nuisance—an infestation if you will. There is a shuttle to the beach, that runs every 30 minutes, so that was nice.

Loved my stay the staff was super friendly. Although, the property bed was more on the firm stiff side and the shower temperature was set on cool vs hot. The bathroom sink got more hotter than the shower which I found odd. However, wouldn’t mind going back as everything was organized down to the beach transportation.

Bed was extremely hard. Food was ok but not amazing. The pool cleanliness was questionable.

Overall the price/value is okay. Starting with the positives: the food is great, you have many options to choose from. We stayed for NYE and they made it extra special by including different types of seafood, finger food, charcuteries and cheeses, meats, fish… also my husband was sick one night and the Front Office Team called a doctor and she was in our room in just 20 mins so that really helped! What I found wasnt too great was the bed. You can feel the mattress is old, hard and “boney”, you can feel the springs. Also the pillows are very soft. The rest of the hotel has a feeling of having stuck in the 70s however if you are looking for an affordable all inclusive hotel near the beach Id say this is a good option as most of the other hotels facing the beach require a longer stay and are more expensive.

The staff were really wonderful. Everyone was kind and willing to help with anything we needed. The food could be improved. It’s buffet style so there were often lukewarm items that should be kept hot or cold. Some days it was hard to find anything that looked appetizing in the main restaurant. The fresh fruit was delicious and always available for meals and snacks. The grounds were beautiful but the room was lackluster. It was not pretty or very decorated but it was clean. The TV reception wasn’t good so the picture was full of static and they weren’t smart TVs so we couldn’t screen share or use our own devices to watch movies. There is an ATM and a currency exchange at the front desk, which was very convenient. We saw wildlife: lizards, coati, sereque, deer, and lots of birds right on the grounds. The beach access was not as convenient as other RIU resorts in the area because there’s no direct path - you need to take a shuttle bus to get there and it’s about a 15 minute trip. This ended up being a minor issue because we didn’t want to spend much time at the crowded beach. This was not a calm, tranquil beach like Akumal. It was full of people and loud music and squeezed between other resort beach areas. It was difficult to walk in the surf because the beach was eroding away. One day a palm tree washed into the ocean, leaving a waist high ledge made of plastic sacks of sand to keep the rest from washing away. There was caution tape up across the whole horizon line. Not pretty

This hotel doesn’t have a beach inside you need to drive 30 min to get to another hotel beach, rooms are very old and small, there’s no elevators at all, only one big pool and one for children, the lobby is very very small it’s not really a lobby it’s more like just an office to check in. This hotel is not what the pictures show at all. Do not recommend at all. Not recommending at all this hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff.

El personal de meseros y cocina muy atentos , el resto bien en general , lo que estuvo pésimo fue la atención recibida al momento de sufrir un accidente al salir de la alberca con mi bebé de 9 meses en brazos, donde hubo heridas expuestas , golpes y un esguince , la ayuda tardo en llegar y cuando llegó el maletín de primero auxilios estaba prácticamente vacío tuvieron que ir por material de curación y regresar conmigo, todo esto a paso de tortuga y con unas ganas que mejor otro huésped tomo la iniciativa y al tener conocimientos médicos (es un enfermero retirado) se movió y les pidió el material para hacerlo el mismo , pidió hielo en la barra para aplicarme en el golpe , otro huésped fue por un ungüento para desinflamar y otro huésped más trajo paracetamol para el dolor y el personal del hotel nada más viendo sin intención de ofrecer ayuda y todavía dice ayyy yo pensé que se había pegado en la cabeza , queee !!!!????? A lo que ya molesta le respondí , nooooooo imagínese que me hubiera pegado en la cabeza con la atención que estoy recibiendo de su parte ya me habría muerto , cero preocupación por el incidente , se retiraron preguntándome por 3era vez mi número de habitación y que si necesitaba otra ves ayuda fuera a la recepción , el corte más profundo siguió sangrando y el huésped que me curó llegó a mi habitación con material de curación que compro en la tienda de recuerdos y me hizo unos moños para unir la piel y que ayudara cerrar por que se requería de sutura .

I really had a good time and this was my first international trip and it was wonderful. The staff was helpful and nice. 10/10

Check-in was considerably long by someone with not experience. Offered us rooms that they were not available and didn’t have our room by the checking time. The boy at the towel station was extremely rude and disrespectful toward to us when we tried to exchange our towels for clean us they were denied to us because the have “a rule” of only one towel per day. There were not accommodations to anything and upper management seems to have a very cocky attitude when we brought our concerns. Not friendly or willing to listen our concerns. There only good person was the bus driver which was kind and friendly everyday, but everyone else seems to be so entitled and with a little tiny mind to be able to understand they are providing a service to the people who come from far away to spend a good amount of money to be treated like they are making us a favour which maybe they need to reflect and think that places like this runs because of the tourist. If you’re looking for a place where you want to feel comfortable, welcomed and relax STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I loved the service we had at the front desk to our maid and the guy that filled up our room fridge with beer water pop. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Thanks again Riu Lupita as this was the second time we’ve stayed there. O yes and do go have à la cart Steakhouse. At the beach it’s GREAT

The property is far away from the beach. The bus ride takes about 14 minutes to get to the beach and is only limited to the daytime. You'll have to walk about 25-30 minutes or pay a cab if you want a night stroll on the beach.

Site de grandeur humaine. Hôtel familial et convivial. L'équipe et l'animation est A . Cet hôtel n'est pas sur le bord de la mer mais la navette nous y amène au 30 minutes et le Riu Lupita a une station pour le lunch et la plage. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Je vous le recommande.

I liked the fact that it was a smaller resort. I wish the beach would off been closer to the resort.

Es un lugar muy bueno, es mucho más económico que los que están a pie de playa y cuenta con beach club para estar ahí en la playa, el transporte sale cada 30 minutos y no tiene costo extra. La vdd vale muchísimo la pena

Отель Руи Лупита оставил положительное впечатление. Расположен не на первой линии но есть трансфер каждые полчаса .Занимает 10 минут. Но можно за 10 минут дойти до пляжа через гольф поле. Трансфер позволяет выйти рядом с городом но надо учитывать что трансфер только до 19 часов. Далее надо будет использовать такси 150 пессо. Сувениры в городе дорогие. Оптимально покупать за наличные в Чиченице. Питание в отеле великолепное .Выбор хороший. Ресторан со стейками находится на пляже и туда есть трансфер. Сам ужин занимает более двух часов . Стейк достойный, но не стоит на мой взгляд потраченного времени. В основном ресторане разнообразнее питание. Анимация средняя. Пенная тасовка в бассейне весело. Выезд на вечеринку в Рупиту соседнюю -весело и для разнообразия не плохо. В отеле есть возможность оставить вещи перед вылетом и пользоваться услугами отеля а потом принять душ. Из развлечений есть волейбол и настольный тенис и другая активность. Спиртное разнообразное и большой выбор коктейлей. Вечеринки с караоке на любителя. На пляже лежаков хватает но находятся они под пальмами и чтобы укрыться от солнца приходится их постоянно передвигать. Море не всегда спокойное но не глубокое. В ноябре водорослей было мало. На территории отеля и пляжа безопасно. Могу рекомендовать отель в соотношении цена-качество.

Budget friendly, no beach on site

Overall it was good, staff and dining was super. The flip point is that it’s rather far away from the oceanfront and area around the resort is not suitable for walking due to golf club property.

Food choices wasnt that good.

The food was not good. The restaurants were first come first serve. The food that was available for 24 hours was HORRIBLE

Property and grounds were very pretty and in great condition. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food presentation was pretty but flavor was terrible. Food was either over cooked, over salted, flavorless and just not good. Drinks weren’t that great either. There also is a really gross smell around the bar (we were thinking it must be the drainage system) that smelled like a combo of body odor and fish sauce. Gym facility was perfect for what was needed (weights, treadmill, elliptical, trx). The beach (there’s an 15 min bus between this resort and the next Riu on the beach) was pretty and had a nice lady out. Overall, it worked for the quick getaway we wanted but it was too bad the food was no good.

Buen hotel con adecuada relación calidad precio, las habitaciones con lo suficiente de espacio y equipo, aunque las camas un poco duras e incomodas. La comida adecuada, no es premium, pero por el costo esta mas que adecuado, hay un restaurante de cortes con reservación con un horario reducido y poca espacio, solo 40 personas, solo puedes reservar a las 7am y en 10 minutos se acaba el cupo, pero si hay grupos, con 2 o 3 personas que reserven se acabo el cupo para el día. Las albercas y el ambiente en general en excelente estado, el club de playa igualmente con buen servicio y espacio. El trato del personal muy amable y servicial, sin duda hace que pases por alto los detalles como el confort de las habitaciones. y la variedad de opciones de alimentos, pero sin duda es un buen hotel al que se puede volver sin ningun problema.

the food was amazing I liked the relaxed atmosphere I like that the rules were not over the top restrictive and and the staff were great especially the entertainment staff and main bartenders. The silent disco was so fun so was the foam party. The night club/disco only played Spanish music shower tiles were really nice in my room and the ac was good my bed was comfortable and the drinks were good.

The property doesn’t have immediate access to the beach! The restaurant and bar in the beach area closed at 5 pm so if you plan to stay for the Sunset no food or drinks will be available and you will have no transportation from the hotel to take you back. The beds are extremely firm making it very difficult to sleep. We were offered a mattress topper that helped a lot.
