Rude management robbed us! We needed to stay an extra night because our first night we got no sleep due to a fault A.C. unit smoking and smelling horrible tried contacting anyone from 3 a.m. on but no luck asked the first worker we saw who instructed us to just call our booking co. And new room would be ready each night has a $100 cash only deposit on top of rate they then took $40;for fees they only said were the fees for the hotel the coffee pot or microwave didn't work and half the lights were burned out the way we were talked to by the owners of management was horrible the ad online stated it had a pool it had no pool or working ice machine this is s disgusting motel at best that smells like burt Indian food that's over powering mixed with body odor worst experience ever stay clear from this death trap at all costs!!

I called earlier in the week to find out if they allow early check-in. I was told they do for $15.00 got to the hotel and the individual at the front counter said it would be $30.00 to check-in early. I wound up paying $20.00 as an early check-in fee. The sign outside the hotel is advertising a pool BUT the pool has no water in it. We had 3 people in the room but only 2 towels and the tub/shower was mighty sketchy! Overall I would have chosen somewhere else to stay.

I only booked at this location so I could access the pool and it wasn't only until I arrived was there no swimming and when I asked front desk to file a complaint he said I couldn't and there were no business cards to refer to.

This place is obviously managed by someone wanting to pinch a dime out of every dollar. The curtains have sunrot, the hot tub was boarded up, the pool was closed and drained, the breakfast is minimal, the yard unmowed, there were crayons under the bed. These are just a few example. Speaking of the bed if you sit on the foot of it the whole thing told because there no support system. Potentially very dangerous. If you check in early there is a fee. If you check out late- a fee. Dont return the magnetic card- fee. Saw small holes in the wall that were never repaired, many areas that need a little paint, the parking signs are sun bleached to completely white. With some maintainence and better management this place could be really good. I give it 2 of 5 stars because it meets very minimum requirements and had a good price.

Why is the pool listed on hotels.com but says it is closed until further notice on the Super8 site? The room needed a very thorough cleaning . Lots of dust, dirty surfaces, used soap on the edge of the tub surround, dead bugs in the bathroom light fixture. No security lock on the door, it had been broken off. The lights in the room didn’t work, unplugged or burnt out, I didn’t like walking into a very dark room. Once we turned on the bathroom light we found the other lights were not plugged in. I really don’t feel it is the customer’s responsibility to crawl around or under furniture to plug the lights in. I did not expect a perfect room for the low price, but I did expect a higher lquality of lodging than what I was given. I travel through Davenport at least six to eight times a year. I have stayed at this hotel before but have never seen it in such terrible condition.

When we arrived, we found out that the pool was not operable. The entrance of the hotel was dirty. They need to paint and clean. We discovered bed bugs after going to bed. I took them down to the front desk as proof. I demanded to be let out of my contract. I had to wait until the morning when a change of staff was on duty. I did not sleep the entire night due to fear. I had to pack up everything and take it to my car. I was traveling with my elderly/disabled mom, so I had to watch and keep the bugs off of her all night. In the morning the lady receptionist canceled one of my nights. She said she would speak to the general manager. Four days later and no word from them. The hotel is old and unkept. The only good thing is the continental breakfast was ok.

This place is disgusting. There’s mold on the wall! I asked to switch room. Next room still disgusting, only one towel in the bathroom and it was dirty!! Trash behind tv and near bed. After checking out I stayed in the lobby waiting for a lyft to go to another hotel, the manager sends someone to ask what time we were leaving, because I couldn’t stay there! Like what?! This has got to be the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. Checked out after less than 2 hours after finding bed bugs, dead bugs all around the room, bathroom counter very sticky, also refused to refund my money....AFTER LESS THAN 2 HOURS!!!!!! THIS HOTEL NEEDS SHUT DOWN!!!!! IT'S OBVIOUS THEY HAVE NO IDEA EVEN WHAT BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!!!

I have reported this establishment to the health department. The hotel and rooms were absolutely disgusting. None of the rooms had been cleaned. They tried to put us in a room that smelt as if someone died in it. The beddiing, bath, drapes, lampshades and more were filthly with dirt and stains. The lock on the door was broken. The hotel was in shambles. The juice machine, waffle maker, pool area and lounge restrooms were all out of order. The staff didnt bother to even brew coffee. To add insult to injury, when we went to the front desk in the morning to get manager info, were we yelled at publicly in front of other guests like children. This is the worst unacceptable experience I have had in 58 years of cross country travel. Expedia needs to omit this establishment from their portfolio. Bosco Family. Santa Fe , New Mexico

As a whole, the entire property was not cared for. Toilet ran continuously, etc. The hotel and room smelled of mildew, dirty feet, and bad curry. The free breakfast was bread and terrible coffee. The bathroom was very dirty, BM on the toliet seat. Carpet was very dirty with debris all over floor. The smoke detector was missing from the wall, just the wires and plate there. Only one lamp in the room had a light bulb. The heater rattled so loud you couldn’t use it. The sidewalks and parking lot were not shoveled and it had been a week since snow fall. Overall the room was very dirty.

I expressed to the receptionist that my room was not up to my standards let alone any one else's. They did not care. The room I stayed in had multiple disadvantages. There was no headboard. It was visibly missing. The outlet next to the sink and mirrors did not work so I could not do my hair in this room. I was getting ready for a funeral. As well as I could not shower because the water made a screeching sound when turned on.

Heater did not work, it was so cold in the room. We couldn't adjust the temperature which was ridiculous, how are you supposed to feel comfortable if you can't adjust temperature in the rooms. This was terrible, never stay again

It wasn't bad, but definitely not great. Fair for what I paid. The lobby looked good and modern, the hallways were clean. Everything worked in the room. The room looked like it had some things missing. There was a huge rectangular hole in the counter under the microwave next to the sink. I don't know what was there before, but whatever it was; it was huge. It could have been a small range. Then there are places on the wall that looked like there was a framed picture there at once, but someone pried them off. The staff were okay. Not rude, but not really welcoming. The hotel itself isn't necessarily right off the I-80. It's a little difficult to get to if you don't know how. Its off of a very narrow service road that has only 1 way in, and out. From veterans memorial parkway. A cracker barrel sits right across the street. The service road butts out at a dead end with the cracker barrel parking lot. You can easily see the signs for the super 8, and the cracker barrel. Don't be fooled, although you are close, there's only one way in. Finding the entrance to that service road is not easy. I don't know what was there before, but whatever it was; it was huge. It could have been a small range. Then there are places on the wall that looked like there was a framed picture there at once, but someone pried them off. The staff were okay. Not rude, but not really welcoming. The hotel itself isn't necessarily right off the I-80. It's a little difficult to get to if you don't know how. Its off of a very narrow service road that has only 1 way in, and out. From veterans memorial parkway. A cracker barrel sits right across the street. The service road butts out at a dead end with the cracker barrel parking lot. You can easily see the signs for the super 8, and the cracker barrel. Don't be fooled, although you are close, there's only one way in. Finding the entrance to that service road is not easy. Overall, not a bad experience. It's has an awkward location, and it's nothing special. Bland even. They do offer extended stays.

The room looked nice, but was far from it, every electric plug is a fire hazard. You plug something in, it fals right out. They have one plug that you have to play, plug switch to use the light on the wall, or to use the refrigerator or the microwave or the coffee pot which the coffee pot cord doesn't even reach the plug in, oh dont forget that this plug, only one of the two plugs work at all. The light Switch for the light to the bathroom when you turn it off or on pops loud because of electrical Arking going on in the switch extreme shock hazard. The bathroom Toilet leaked around the donut for some time you could see where they are cleaning mold up and still mold there. Sit on the toilet and it rocks back and forth. After dealing with all these issues. I dropped something and it went between the bed and the wall and when i looked, i couldnt believe my eyes. There was so much mouse crap on the floor you could hardly see the color of the carpet. I was sicken to think my head was that close to all that and i have breathing issues. Plus, if you have a A service. Or support animal this hotel. If you do not bring them in when you Check-in, they will not accept them. Period Im calling state health and fire Marshall. Will be posting videos on utube. Never will i stay here EVER AGAIN.

No trash can in the room. No Alarm clock. Pillows on bed were smaller than the bath towels. No soap or shampoo. None of the outlets would hold a plug. I have never seen that before on an electrical outlet. The TV in the room is probably 32". I do not expect much but really.

Rude management robbed us! We needed to stay an extra night because our first night we got no sleep due to a fault A.C. unit smoking and smelling horrible tried contacting anyone from 3 a.m. on but no luck asked the first worker we saw who instructed us to just call our booking co. And new room would be ready each night has a $100 cash only deposit on top of rate they then took $40;for fees they only said were the fees for the hotel the coffee pot or microwave didn't work and half the lights were burned out the way we were talked to by the owners of management was horrible the ad online stated it had a pool it had no pool or working ice machine this is s disgusting motel at best that smells like burt Indian food that's over powering mixed with body odor worst experience ever stay clear from this death trap at all costs!!

Cannot recommend. The electrical is clearly outdated as it had very few outlets. That made it hard to recharge electronic devices. They also charge a $5 fee for unreturned keys and I got charged despite returning my key. The location is a bit isolated, for which there are pros and cons that I do not think I need to go into.

Worse customer service i have ever experienced . They tried to charge 300 dollars for a room because we have a dog the dog is shaved so there was no shedding and is completely potty trained no damage whatsoever! Tried to gett the 100 damage deposit back and the lady running the place took another 100 out of my account!! And she called my husband an ass and hung up on him. Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay

My stay was terrible. First someone came into my room when I was out for work, when I returned the door was filled open, cracked open. Second they are scammers, they kept my deposit saying I needed to stay 6 or i days instead of the 5 I booked it for. El Super 8 try to rip off people that don't know the policies or that don't speak very good English. Fortunately I'm American-Mexican and caught these scammers lying through their teeth. DO NOT STAY HERE, the free breakfast was toast and a bowl of cereal. The milk was in a coffee container placed on top of a bucket of ice inside a broken fridge. The coffee machine was out of order and there was a sign saying you can make waffles but there was no waffle maker in sight. THE POOL was closed and has been closed for over a year with no intention of it ever opening up. I WILL BE CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND BBB.

I booked this pet friendly hotel with Expedia. When I checked in, I waited for about 10 min for someone to finally arrive to help me. I told them I had 2 pets. They charged me 35$ per pet! Plus $100 deposit. I really wish they would advertise what their pet fees are on Expedia before we book the hotel, I would have gone to another property.

I highly recommend this place. The lobby is rustic looking and inviting. It is just off a major road, although finding Jason Way Court was a challenge, and has a Menards and Crackle Barrel very close. My room was very clean and I found the bed very comfortable. The only problem was the very low toilet. A rail by the he wall would be a big help.

Found roaches on the sink and in the bathroom. Found roaches in the bed the next morning. Vending machines only had skittles or starburst or were empty. Breakfast bar had two cereals, milk, bread, and waffle mix.

The pool was closed. Called ahead and the person stated it was open. Had to ask for towels. Room was booked 4. But only supply 1. Everything was unplugged so refrigerator was useless. Breakfast donut holes, cereal, and waffles. Thats it. Yeah its something but advertising hot Breakfast is a stretch. The male clerck was oogling my friend and I had to tap the counter to get his focus back to me.

The swimming pool wasn't open, which was the main reason i booked, the bathroom wall was crumbling above the shower head, the bathrrom sink leaked water from the faucet if it wasn't turned all the way to the right, the window had a huge crack in it, i found crayons on the floor that i didn't bring with me, and finally, none of the 2 outlets in the room worked very well for holding a block to charge my phone. One behind the nught stand was cracked and could hurt someone, the other pretty much spit the blocks back at us when we put them in. I didn't bother mentioning it to the hotel because i was exhausted from my drive and not staying too long. The free breakfast was pretty dismal as well. Cardboard waffles, 2 types of cereal, donut holes, and a loaf of bread. Definitely picking a different hotel if i have to go back to Iowa again.

As a whole, the entire property was not cared for. Toilet ran continuously, etc. The hotel and room smelled of mildew, dirty feet, and bad curry. The free breakfast was bread and terrible coffee. Towels were difficult to come by, and we were charged to have more than one key. The electronic sign advertised a heated pool, but it was out of order.

Do not go there is you want to have a pool. They have zero intention of ever opening their pool. They have boxes filled with files in their pool area. Yet their sign even states they have a heated pool! We were there for two days and they never filled the pancake machine. There is fire damage in their lobby. I was highly disappointed with this hotel. I only booked it because they had a pool and breakfast and both were a lie. Don’t go there! When reported to hotels.com they stated that it states the pool is closed. Well that was another lie. And guess what it still states there is a pool. After looking deeper in the reviews it looks like the pool has been closed for about 2 years. They told customer service that this is why the price is so low. The price was not low and they lied.
