My biggest concern was the hot tub and pool, there were WAY too many people in it and WAY too many chemicals. The air burned the eyes and burned your throat and lungs! I told the maintenance man and he shut down the hot tub and us and another family left immediately.... my lungs and my 8 year olds lungs burned for 3 days afterwards!

Hotel staff was friendly, rooms were nice and clean, breakfast buffet was delicious. The hot tub was out of order, which was a little disappointing, but those things happen. The only thing I genuinely didn’t like is that the hotel is advertised as having a pool… which it technically does however it’s small and shallow (4ft at its deepest) when people are going down the water slide it renders half the pool unusable because the slide launches them out far into the pool.

Good stay and great breakfast. I've stayed here many times and every time the chlorine in the pool burns your eyes and you cant stay long. I've mentioned it to staff but nothing changes. This trip one of my kids started coughing uncontrollably because of the chlorine. We had to leave.

Everything was perfect excepted the pool and the spa. They put too much chlorine in them and we were not able to enjoy it. We were forced to leave since we were coughing because of that. We were not the only ones.

We picked this hotel for the pool and waterslide and ended up loving the whole experience. Rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, staff were kind, they had a dryer for guests to use and an ice machine that worked!

Great staff, great breakfast, room was clean. Only complaint was the depth of the pool 3/4 feet- too shallow to swim for the kids. However , they did enjoy the waterslide. :)

We were greeted by Brianne and told that we could check in early! Went to the pool….deck was crowded with chairs but the hot tub and pool were clean and I even went down the water slide. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The only attention needed was to the ground outside the hotel….garden was mostly weeds.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The free breakfast is by far the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. We really enjoyed it! The pool and hot tub however were very dirty. Lots hair and debris in the pool and the hot tub water almost looked green. We did overall enjoy our stay!

We have stayed here several times over the years and I have never had any complaints. This time I did notice the dining area wasn’t really clean. The dirt was pushed into corners and under tables and not cleaned, the bagels were empty and all cut up. The stocking of the breakfast items could’ve been better. The staff are always welcoming, prompt and friendly!

I was very disappointed with the condition of the pull out couch. The mattress was stained and had nothing on it. I paid for a room specifically to have that as a bed and I should not have to make it up at 9:00 at night when I am trying to get kids to bed. The next day the main bed was made up by the housekeeper however the sink was not even wiped out and the pull out bed was left unsaid and the garbages in both the rooms I had were not emptied. I was given a discount for the one night for the stain on the bed however considering I had 2 rooms for 2 nights each only covering the one night on one room seemed a bit unreasonable. It was very embarrassing for me considering the room with the stain was an out of country guest of mine. I had picked that hotel specifically because normally it is very clean and well maintained.

Unfortunately this hotel is starting to get run down. We thought the bed was going to fall apart when we laid down. The bathroom is full of mold. To top it off the couple next door let their kids run up and down the hall until midnight while the kids knocked on our door and tried turning our handle several times. We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past years and unfortunately it just keeps getting worse and worse.

- Team is great & polite - Some facilities require maintenance. I had a problem with the toilet seat. It was shaking and unstable. A/C is very noisy and takes some time to heat up the room. Room is dark inside; light is only available in the entrance of the room. There are small lighting options on the desk & 1 at one side of the bed which - in my opinion - are not enough. Showers are of the standing type; however, water may leak outside of it and may cause slips for old people.

Parking was not ideal, especially with the weather. The hotel itself was nice and clean. Stayed on the 3rd floor and the curtains didn’t close, only a sheer white curtain that was see thru. Pool area was nice but had a funny smell. The biggest issue was the noise. Kids constantly running the halls, even after quiet hours. The room itself was nice and clean.

The stay was great and my daughter's loved the room and pool. The thing that really ruined it for me is the position of the room and the curtains. The rooms to not have curtains that block out light, only thin shears. The heavy curtains only close so far..maybe a few Inches leaving a large gap a few feet wide with only the shear curtains. Our room was diagonal from the main entrance in which we had a large outer street style light out front of our room. The light shone into our room all night long for two straight nights keeping me awake as I had to lay on that side of the bed because it bothered the girls. I had about maybe three hrs sleep each night due to it shining directly I to the room into my face. Someone threw up in the pool and there was confusion about the pool being cleaned or not or how it was cleaned as the same goggles were at the bottom of the pool the previous night when it happened plus a large clump of hair sitting at the bottom of the pool to following morning as well. I didn't allow the kids to partake until later on that afternoon etc when I saw other children playing in it assuming it was either ok, or nobody knew. Other than that it was a good stay. For some reason the app won't allow me to add pics.

The hotel is very loud, we could hear people above and beside us most of both nights. We had to clean the bed sheets as they weren't very clean upon arrival. Other than that the stay was decent, the breakfast and staff were great.

Staff was absolutely pathetic with kids, my daughters birthday and she was in tears form be yelled at by an employee. I will be filing out a form and requesting money back . When arriving check in was a 1.5 hr process as there machine would not process credit cards . Not just mine . There was others having issues as well . Forcing us to either drive 4 hrs back home and ruin our 10 year old daughters birthday and new years or make phone calls to try and get a credit card number from family to pay a 50$ deposit for damage . I have stayed there everytime we go to city ( ALOT ) I will never stay here or book with this hotels app again .

Booked a one night stay for work, and it was very noisy. Beds were uncomfortable and the gentleman that checked us out was more interested in the tv show playing on his phone than how our stay was (he didn’t ask).

In new area of town with plenty of parking. Several food options nearby. Staff very friendly. However, more than two weeks have passed and our 50$ incidental charge has not been returned after we incurred no additional fees.

The staff was absolute AMAZING! They were very accomodating and helpful! They even curteously switched our rooms so our friends had a, adjoining door with us! Our king bed was a little too hard for my liking, and it was easy to heae people speaking in the hallway early in the morning, but the staff made the stay incredible!

We chose this hotel for the pool snd were not disappointed. Our grandson thoroughly enjoyed the water slide. The hotel staff were great and the room clean. The bed was super comfortable. The free breakfast was substantial, giving you both hot and cold choices ( eggs, bacon, sausage , waffles and a variety of cereals, fresh fruit and pastries. Location was good, it was easy to get ro downtown St John. Parking was included. We will stay there again.

Good room with comfy bed. Our door wouldn’t open with our key card initially but the staff got it fixed very quickly. We appreciated that! Hotel is in middle of shopping area with large stores spread around so not much to walk to without driving,

Room was nice, bed comfortable. Pool is small and was cool. Hot tub was full so didn’t get a chance to check it out. Breakfast was ok, food was good once it came out. Went down around 9am & all hot stuff was empty and had to wait 5-10 minutes and room was very cold where you ate.

The stay was phenomenal our room was the jacuzzi suite the room was clean hotel was clean the staff were friendly and super accommodating, my boyfriend had surgery and we had lost an item during our stay and the manager was so kind and helped us figure it out on their cameras and retrieve our item my only comment would be to bring your own ice cream the small tubs are 15 dollars but convenience i suppose, overall phenomenal this will forever be our sporlt and the breakfast is above and beyond 2 different kinds of waffles lots of toppinngs drinks eggs 2 different kinds yogurt beans multpile styles of breads buiscuts muffins. Highly recommended

Our stay was for the convenience of visiting family for Thanksgiving. Our weekend was made memorable thanks to the friendly staff, plenty of pool time and the super fun slide and the delicious hot breakfast - the waffle bar was a huge hit!

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast wasn’t really hot. Real cutlery instead of plastic would have been a better option. Pool and hot tub were relaxing. Convenient location close to restaurants and the mall.

I loved the room. My only suggestion would be to add more quality food for breakfast. Fresh fruit and cereals need to be upgraded—bran flakes, whole grain bagels, and more natural foods.

The staff were wonderful and are the #1 reason I would stay here again. They were so friendly and accomodating. We had 2 rooms in the same hallway as the pool, so the floor was constantly soaked and slippery during pool hours. It was pretty noisy being so close to the pool, but we didn't mind because we also had kids in our group. The pool area was extremely hot and highly chlorinated, making it difficult to breathe. Better ventilation would make this so much better. The pool itself is very small for the speed and distance in which the kids were shooting out of the water slide. Very fun, but not very safe. Breakfast was decent, but serving utensils could be checked and replaced with clean ones to avoid cross contamination. The DIY waffle bar was a lovely option. The rooms are a nice size, clean and mostly well-maintained, but kind of dark even with all of the lights on unless you keep the curtains open, but being a ground floor room everyone can see in. Better lighting would brighten up the space without giving everyone outside a view into your room. A few updates could make this hotel a lot better, but I would still stay here again.

Hampton inn is always my pick when in Saint John. The rooms are always spotless, beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious. Breakfast is phenomenal and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I love love love the peleton in the awesome, well equipped gym. The location is amazing as well, super close to everything yet quiet. Highly recommend!
