Prima hotel met zeer ruime kamer. Boven op de berg. 2 min. Van centrum. Hotel heeft 2 parkeerplekken inpandig. Raadzaam om vooraf te boeken bij hotel, min. 2 dagen voor aankomst. Anders parkeren in parkeergarage in de buurt. 5 min. Lopen. Vriendelijke receptionist. Ontbijt prima. Absolute aanrader

Not easy to get to by car. The road approaching the hotel is blocked by a raised metal cylinder. Contact the hotel and they lower it so that you can enter the road where the hotel is. The hotel garage has space for only 4 vehicles. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is hard to find, on a street where you need a security code to access.

Nowhere to park. Booked this hotel because we had a car rented and it says parking on-site. When arriving at hotel we were told the garage was full. They only have spots for 2 cars. So had to park in a paid parking lot 8 min drive away and carry bags. Staff basically said deal with it. Hotel is run down and not clean

Beautiful, quiet hotel very close to the St. George Castle. Very modern and upscale. Room was cleaned daily and very spacious. I had a beautiful terrace with a table and chairs overlooking the city. My rate included the breakfast buffet which was nice, and the bar was open until 11pm so easy to grab a nightcap to take to the room. The hotel is right in the heart of the area near the castle and a few doors down from the hotel was one of the best restaurants I've tried in Portugal. The only drawback is that Ubers can't come through the gate at the bottom of the hill so you have to walk down there to catch one, which was only an issue the day I left when leaving with my luggage (had to drag it down the hill to meet the car). The private car that brought me there was allowed to come all the way to the hotel door, though. Highly recommed!

We liked that the property was clean and in a quiet location. A big drawback was that upon arrival it is very difficult if you have rented a car to find a place to park it so we could check in.

Great value for the affordable price! The hotel was clean and quiet. The views of the city from outside are incredible but note that this is at the top of a hill and if you Uber, they will not be able to pull up directly in front so plan to taxi!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Olissippo! We had a Birds Eye view of the city from the terrace, which was amazing! The staff was even more amazing…making reservations for dinner and airport transfer so we had no worries. Parking for our car was convenient in their garage. Definitely plan to stay again on future trips!

Beware-get an "access code" from the hotel prior to arrival due to the hotel being in restricted area, or have Uber ot Taxi call hotel for access code and don't let them drop you off 300 feet from the hotel especially at 12:30 am with child and 3 heavy suitcases even if you ordered most expensive Uber Black service from the airport unless you want to have to spend $400-$500 replacing your suitcases since the wheels on them will be damaged after dragging them on stone lined streets of Lisbon. I had multiple email exchanges with hotel about upgrade charges prior to my arrival and yet zero communication about "access code" or the fact that doors get locked and curtains are shut and you have to find the bell to ring when arriving late. Other than that, the hotel is nice, in the quiet area, beautiful view (2nd and 3rd floors patios shared privacy), pay attention to hotel room square footage in room description and don't get anything under 250 sq.Ft as that includes bathroom In Europe). Breakfast is better than in US but worse than Northern Europe, but seemed typical for Portugal as the same breakfast was served at the lounge in Lisbon airport, no variety. Staff was very polite and courteous but did not respond to my suggestion of notifying/sharing "access code" with future guests to avoid my experience. Walls are paper thin, I had to ask guests nextdoor to stop fighting as it was scaring my daughter. You can hear every vacuum move from cleaning ladies starting 8 am.

Very nice staff and location was good. The room was a bit worn, but clean.

The hotel is not accessible by Uber due to local restrictions which we were not informed of by the hotel and we had to drag our luggage uphill on cobblestone street which could be avoided if we took a cab from the train station. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room is clean and comfortable however the carpet must be replaced which really tarnished this review.

Room was nice, although the carpet needed some cleaning. Loved the breakfast options, and the friendliness of the staff in the hotel.

Most of the property was very clean and most of the staff was very pleasant, with the exception of one or two front desk people. The carpet in the room was very dirty and old but overall the hotel was nice.

WiFi in our area of the hotel did not work. On the occasion we could “connect” we could not look anything up on the internet. TV very small and at end of the room opposite the bed for viewing. Our bathroom door did not close. Water damage along floor edges in bathroom. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good with many choices. Breakfast attendant very nice and helpful. Traveler be aware, this is at the top of a hill. The street it is on has a barrier that not all uber drivers can get through. We had to drag our luggage uphill for the last two or three blocks to check in. And the castle on Google looks very close by, but it is a 10-15 minute walk to get there. FYI.

Hotel was in a good location. Only comment is the rugs in the room need to be cleaned and/or replaced.

Perfect location- it is central to Alfama excitement on a quiet residential street. We were generously upgraded to a balcony room and it had some of the best views of the city. Do note that because it’s a residential street rideshare companies cannot drop you off there so it is best to coordinate with the hotel to pick you up from the airport so you don’t have to drag your luggage up the hill.

Bed set up with two twins placed together is very odd. Shower did not work properly. The room was spacious, and had a nice terrace with great views.

Mixed feelings about this hotel.. Located on the top of one hill near the Castello, with access to Alfalfa area, easy to get down to it, harder to get back over too many steps. I wouldn’t drive, the streets ate too steep, too narrow. The hotel is tidy, staff work their best to accommodate the guests comfortable stay, However, I must mention to all of the travellers that the hotel’s pictures are deceiving, shows a lot of light, the big windows, access to the individual terraces or, at list, the overlooking terrace for the all guests. The terrace, where you could have a cup of coffee or glass of vino while enjoying the sunset is Not existing. You will have to step out of the hotel on the street across the hotel. The pictures on the hotel’s sight shows the suits on the last floor, the 4th one.They serve the decent breakfast on the first floor, that feels a bit crammed into the smaller area. I liked their table settings. Very clean and well arranged. Our room was on the first floor, much is the second for North Americans. The windows were facing the street and the building across. You could hear every sound coming from underneath and there were a lot of them, as people are coming back after party or from work. The AC was very noisy, but it could not cover the street noises at night. I would recommend to book the room at the higher level or away from the street, if possible. The receptionist comp help us, as hotel is smaller and was fully booked.

Lovely hotel up in the oldest part of Lisbon. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had it's own terrace with nice views.

The reviews were wonderful, but this hotel seemed so-so to us. The room was small, the mattress not super comfortable, and the wifi was pretty unusable in the room. The best part was the balcony and view.

We reserved a junior suite and were assigned Room 302. The room was spacious and quiet, with a terrific large terrace with spectacular views. TV was quite small and placed so as not to be watchable from the beds. Don’t understand the rave reviews for the breakfast - it would be fine, but nothing special, for a stay of a day or two, but limited selection with absolutely no variation day to day made it pretty poor for our six-day stay. Hot food was limited to scrambled eggs, baked beans and bacon every day.

This hotel was amazing — the staff was so super helpful and kind, the hotel and room were both beautiful and very clean. The breakfast was incredible with so many options. Having a balcony room overlooking the city was magical! We loved our stay there.

The staff was amazing. A person in our party needed medical help. Rui from the front desk called an ambulance and stayed with us until it arrived. He went above and beyond offering comfort and assistance. I highly recommend this hotel.

During our recent stay of 27 days, we found the hotel clean and extremely well managed. The staff are outstanding in all respects. Well located in the Alfama District to so many historical sites. Breakfasts were always timely with quality and fresh food. Staff got to know the guests and made a habit of being of 1st rate help.

The staff, front desk, food and beverage, were all really good! They went overboard to be sure that we had everything we needed. We recommend Hotel Olissippo Castelo!

The staff is highly professional; multilingual, helpful, considerate - everything you want from a high quality hotel. The hotel is on a semi-private street with limited access to vehicles, which makes it quiet - yet only steps from more commercial streets with many restaurants, shops, bars, etc.

Firstly, we were charged 50% more by Hotels.com than what was on the website, via Trivago in AUD. Terrible start. The breakfast is ok, but not great. Access to the hotel is not easy via Uber. They have one iron for the complete hotel, so in 3 days my wife could only use an iron once. When we organised for the hotel to provide direct transport to the airport, they only accept cash, which was a major inconvenience (as we'd used all our cash). When the time came to be picked up, the transport didnt turn up, we were late to the airport and had to use a taxi. Significant hassle to get the cash for the hotel, but they still couodnt organise it. All when Hotels.com charged us 50% more than agreed.

Tucked way at the foot of the castle, with the Alfama just down the street. Very hilly, but worth every step!

Excellent restaurants nearby and sunset viewing area within 10 minute walk.

Nice boutique hotel in good condition. Location doesn't allow taxis to drop you off in front of hotel; you need to walk 60-70 yards uphill on very rough cobblestone street from drop off spot. Great location in Alfamba with shops, restaurants and bars in all directions. Great breakfast but hours are 7:30 to 10:00, so often we were not able to use it. Most tours require you to be at a pick-up location before 8AM.

Far away from everything

Right in the shadow of the castle, accessed by the old narrow streets of Old Lisbon. The rooms are large and well equipped and the staff were friendly and helpful.

In the old part of town, behind the Castle. The hotel was sited at the top of a pretty steep hill. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were a good size with a decent sized bathroom.

Hotel close to dining, convenient to sightseeing and shops. Daily breakfast was very good with variety of choices. Staff was attentive and responsive. It was a nice stay! Thank you!

Rooms are very clean superbly decorated with 2 chairs to sit and relax inside and a fantastic view from the seated outside area. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice from cooked to cereal, pastries. Lovely staff. Eating places near by although on a hill next to the castle everything is in walking distance, even the Tram 28 goes by a little way from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

The room is beautiful, overlooking the city and has some great vantage points. The breakfast is not really suitable for vegetarians / halal / kosher. Some basic hot food, scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms with a wider continental selection. Nice enough but my partner couldn't eat much. The place has restricted access so you will need to walk 2 minutes with bags before getting a taxi. We were really disappointed with the room service - the burgers were really low quality, especially for the price. The cleaning service was hit and miss. Sounds like some negatives, but it's a nice enough place. Had we known about the lack of options for vegetarians we would have booked somewhere else. Overall 7/10

Hotel is in a hidden street close to downtown with a nice view from balcony. The rooms and hotel is so run down it feels like a motel. Breakfast Buffett is very limited but had a very nice server, she was the only server. I will not recommend this hotel.
