The only downside was no ice machine

room 123. Liked the studio style large room w/half wall divider, quiet hallway and room, large TV. Free parking, friendly/quick staff, safe area, nearby Costco. Actual kitchen w/granite countertop, cupboards, sink, full size fridge microwave, though no coffeemaker:(. Standard bathroom w/supplies, though, air ventilator is not working and no hair fan. We stayed only 1 night, and refund for second night yet to come, will keep posted

Easy check-in process and you are paying for what you get. Price is reasonable for condition of property. Decent options for food nearby and very close to highway. Towels provided are small and pretty much falling apart from how often they’ve been used. Elevator is also very old and a little shaky

I will start with the good points - The staff was very helpful and especially Dakota went out of her way to make our stay really special (she went beyond her call of duty when she saw I was too tired with some task late into the night and helped me sort it out quickly). Negative point - the vent in the room was making a lot of noise so we twisted open just to see if that fixes it but then we saw the air ducts had a lot of guck and dead flies spewed out when the vent was opened. IF they can just handle this - the rest of the unit was actually fine (washrooms were clean, beds were good and the overall unit was find). We can share pics of the vents if needed by the facility. we just closed the vent shut for our stay.

Room smelled really bad,(both rooms). Stayed at Mohawk college residence the week before it was wonderful. This was similar, just a bit gross. You could get used to the smell after an hour. Smoke alarm went off after every shower, remember to keep the bathroom door closed, a quick fan should stop this. Holes in the wall where lights have been changed. Woke up in the middle of the night thinking it was morning because the blinds were broken. Cable on tv would blank out the sound every 30 seconds for About 3 seconds( annoying). Would probably be fine if it didn't stink. Maybe just should have manned up and got another room. Probably would have been great. Good luck

Woke up with ants crawling all over me I did not bring any food with me or into the room! I was only there for 1 night.

The location was perfect. The front lobby was clean and nicely done. The staff were super friendly. The rooms could use some love. It wasn’t very clean. My blankets had rips in it. My towels were see through (thin material and holes) they are such poor quality and they didn’t smell clean. The towel hangers in the bathroom were broken. The price was great.

There was a vent in the room that was black with dirt right onto the wall and ceiling. There was a large clump of hair on the carpet.

Arrived and room smelled like smoke. Reported and told no other options but that room. Few days in there was an unannounced “bed bug inspection. They turned all the bedding into balls and sprayed the room. With our things in it while we were not there. When I went to the front desk someone told me they were supposed to email, call and leave a letter about it. Ants in the kitchen all over everything. Much damage to the place. Light fixtures broken, walls damaged. Parking near the access doors is extremely limited. You have to park around the back of the Building and hike in with your things. 13 day trip and no bedding changes and no towels. Had to empty our own garbages and recycling and when we asked about it they told us to take It to the dumpster ourselves. Paid 100% up front for the entire trip. On departure they tried to tell us we still owed 208 dollars. After looking at the system they decided it was bc we booked on Expedia and and for some reason the amount of the discount given was shown as owed in their system. The smell of cigarettes is strong when someone stands out back and smokes outside your room. At night a tow truck company called KW towing parked in a spot right outside the room with the diesel engine running for hours. It sounded like a horrible loud engine and we had to call the desk. They said they would send security. We watched security talk to the row of ruck driver for an hour and laughed and left. It’s not a hotel.

We stayed at the Residence & Conference Centre for four days, using it as a launch point to explore southern Ontario. Keep in mind, you’re booking a dorm-style room—it’s a bit rough around the edges. There was a musty smell when we first walked in, though we eventually went nose-blind. The A/C felt a little underpowered, but I travel with a fan, so I was comfortable. That said, you get a two-bedroom suite with a private bathroom and a kitchenette. Since we had our own camping gear, we were set up for cooking, which worked out well. The beds were okay, the bedding was clean, and the area felt safe. It’s conveniently close to Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, and the highway. For a longer stay like ours, it offered great value. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the on-site laundry was a bonus. The laundry card system might be a bit tricky for some, but if you run into trouble, just ask the staff—they’re happy to help.

These rooms are very dated with 30 year old blinds that barely function, a tv that has sound cutting in and out, plus missing some basics like coffee and tea that most hotels offer. The air/con kinda worked if you set it below 70. It's great to have two separate bedrooms but the place seemed manky overall for the room rate that one pays. In general, the KW area lacks good hotels near the airport. So you can chance things with a private bnb or a cheap motel I suppose.

Very convenient location just off the 401 outside Kitchener. The rooms serve as dormitories for Conestoga College students during the school year but are rented out to travelers during the summer. The room was clean and spacious. My only complaint was that the air conditioning was loud and ran continuously. I had trouble sleeping because of it.

Full size Fridge in the unit, nice size and clean. Room Ventilation fan kind of loud however (Could Not Turn Off) had to get used to that to fall asleep, otherwise nice stay!

Very stark but functional. Only two or three channels available on tv Fast internet though and free parking.

The rooms were great value for money. Because it is a student property, access to an iron and board are via loan from front desk rather than in each room but that was not a big deal as we were not far from front desk. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Front desk is 24 hours so there is always someone there to help you if needed. Loved it!

The check in experience was terrible. My mastercard was compromised so I did not have it on hand. My back up credit card is an American express. The front desk clerk did not even know what it was, and whether the hotel would accept it. Once we realized it didn't work, I tried to use my debit card on both machines. The machines didn't work. My son tried his debit card. The machines wouldn't take it either. The front desk clerk sent me across the street to an ATM because the one at the hotel was broken. She sent me to the wrong gas station. I finally got cash out of the ATM. It was the worse check in experience I ever had, and the whole process was embarrassing because there were about 10 people in line behind me. My debit card worked perfectly fine every other store I've been to. Honestly, I should be receiving a partial refund for the complete embarrassment and aggravation.

Had to leave a bunch of messages before someone called me back to confirm reservation and a few things in the room were broken (shower bar and tp dispenser); but overall, a great cost-effective place to stay and loved having the kitchenette and microwave. I'd stay again for sure.

This is a very affordable alternative to a regular hotel chain option. The room was very clean. I feel the best part of the room is that they have a full size fridge and microwave in a kitchenette right inside your room. This is very helpful when you want to save money as I did. I travelled for business and stayed here and was pleased with the smooth check in as the staff is very pleasant. I have one complaint. This was the main reason for my less than perfect rating: Can you please offer people that are travelling strictly for business (and desperately need quiet to sleep) the option to stay in a room on a floor in your building that is not with families? I can clarify this. There were many children running up and down the hallway, slamming room doors, shouting, running again and again up and down the hallway, knocking on random room doors, multiple times, all after 10:30pm-11pm. I did not want a confrontation, so I call the front desk and asked if someone could please come up and speak to them. I don't think they were very successful as the noise carried on until close to midnight. Unfortunately the same situation happened on both nights of my stay here, with 2 different groups of guests with a large group of kids. I am a Mom to 4 children myself, so I am not a person who doesn't understand that there is hotel excitement for kids, and that can be very fun. I am no stranger to noise. But this? This was awful. I did not have a goods rest either night.

was asking for a cue stick chalk at their play room at 2nd floor,conceirge dont care...then my kids chips at the vending machine got stucked..they dont care still...so unprofessional when they answer...fire them!

Easy access from highway

I liked the convenience of having a kitchenette area with a full fridge and having 2 separate bedrooms for added privacy. Close to the 401 and conveniently near plazas for anything you may need.

Good place to stay if you have a car. Close to Kitchener south / Cambridge North

Good value for price. A bit out of the way but good for 1 night when we had other activities to go to. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. I was hoping the kitchenette would have dishes, dish soap etc but it didn't and they didnt have any at the desk. Overall would stay there again.

Close to several eating establishments as well as gas station and other amenities. Good pricing Friendly front desk.
