First off, we weren't supposed to stay at this hotel. The booking we made was for a different place, but the address took us to this location. So, Expedia, you need to fix your system. As for this place, the place looked alright, except for the air conditioning being down in the lobby...or at least that's what they said. It was actually down in the entire building. When we arrived in our room, we had no towels or toilet paper. It was late, so we ignored it, but the room was hot and it was difficult to get a decent night's sleep, even with the in-room unit. The next morning, when I called the front desk to request towels and toilet paper around 7:30am (on my cell phone, because the phone in the room wasn't working), we were told housekeeping would bring it up around 9am when they came in. After 9, we called again; we were told it would be soon. 15 or 20 minutes later, we were told they were still working on it. I eventually went out to buy toilet paper. No towels were ever brought to us, so neither my wife and I were able to get in a shower. My wife gave our three-year-old a bath and dried him off with one of her shirts. Around check out time, the manager was nowhere around. She left a single employee up front. This place was no even worth the Expedia price we paid, and if there is anyone worth anything, we'd get some of our money back for the incredible pain this was.

Old property, pool not working

Traveling to another destination and decided to stay for a night. 1st room the key card didn't work, had to change rooms. 2nd room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator access. Have to carry all of your belongings up several stairs. Room was very dirty including the furniture, bedding, bathroom. Room smelled like urine. Would NOT recommend.

This property is not what Expedia advertises. The pool is not functional, the continental breakfast is not available, and they do not place you in the room you reserve (i.e., I reserved a King sized bed and was put into a full sized bed).

No AC in Lobby, halls or elevator. Waited in line to check in for over 20 minutes, staff terribly slow. No drinking water at all on property, vending machine in lobby sold out of water. Would not stay again.

The beds were very comfortable, sleep very good! Had to walk upstairs with all our luggage to our room on the second floor, no elevator. It was very rough with heavy baggage.

It was absolutely terrible, you dont know if they will give you a room in the main building or the outside where the doors face the parking. The main building was hot, they didn't have the ac turned on.

We stayed here specifically because it had a pool but the pool was out of service! 😩

Do not stay here! I do not typically write reviews but I do not want anyone to experience this hotel that doesn't need to. Dirty and no AC in the lobby or hallways on our floor 4th. Thos made the room super humid even with the room AC on. One hour wait to check in with only 4 people in front of me in line. One person running the whole place. Do not count on breakfast. There were a couple muffins in cellophane wrappers, NO COFFEE and 2 spoiled oranges. Beds were like a slab of concrete.

The air conditioner was broken in the hotel so the hallways and lobby were hot. The continental breakfast was not what i expected.

The people at the hotel were very nice and the reception area was very friendly, they had drinks and snacks available when you were checking in, and the overnight staff were great as well. The room however was really filthy. There appeared to be blood stains and feces on the wall that my husband actually cleaned off. There was chunks of stuff that were on the walls and the hair dryer cord by the sink that we also cleaned off. The room overall was just gross. The sheets seemed to be clean which was the most important thing to us at that point.

From the very beginning of my stay, 10 minutes in, I requested to be moved to another room because of the unacceptable conditions.( see pictures below) The air conditioning and door were not working properly, the room had mold, roches, stains, dirt, and the overall condition was extremely poor to say they least. I immediately asked for a manager and a room change, and I was told no manager was on duty over the weekend and they could not offer me another room. No money back/ no cancellation possible. That was deeply disappointing and unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. Fighting it now looking for a layer. Hotel.com didn’t help either. My request was made reasonably and nothing was done. The level of cleanliness, safety, and responsiveness I experienced fell far below what I expected from this establishment. Don’t stay here! It’s terrible. And don’t use Hotel.cok or any other third party. They will give you the runaround and no one will take responsibility for this or help you!

Very disappointed. There was a water leak in the hallway and the ceiling tile fell through. The staff did not seem concerned at all about fixing it. The room was not very clean and furniture was old and falling apart. AC was not working in common areas and smelled like mildew. Will never stay here again.

The room smelled terrible and was very dirty. Bed sheets were badly stained and bathroom was dirty with opened and partially used bars of soap in shower and sink. Breakfast consisted of 8 pre-wrapped muffins sitting on a countertop without a working microwave even. Our experience was just terrible.

Dirty mattress, key fobs don’t work properly, had to change rooms, tiny bar of soap, dirty carpets and the worst part is tha the room was $150 per night.., ripoff

Extremely dirty and no breakfast as said in discription.

Room was not clean, no shower curtain so the bathroom flooded, door handle was malfunctioning on the front door and telephone did not work.

Something dark brown on the wall of the bathroom. Also no soap and used shampoo.

There was black mold all over the bathroom walls, all of the dispensers for shampoo, body wash, conditioner and hand soap were empty. Doesn't even have a coffee pot. Also the deposit for the disgusting room is $200. Everywhere else we stayed was $50-75.

I arrived at 2 am and the sheets in room 208 were dirty. They didn't want to change my room and gave me other sheets and at that time I had to start changing them. The next day we went to have breakfast and there were only cereal bars, muffins, and water. I opened a muffin and it had mold in it. I told the guy at the frontdesk and he just told me to get another one, hahaha, what a joke. I'm not going back. Very bad service.

Had cable when i walked in then nothing. They had no maintenance on staff so couldn't fix the issue. Couldn't move me to another room. A hotel that is old maybe under rehab. Dont recommend to anyone traveling through Tallahassee. Had to watch tv on my phone.

Interior of room not updated. Poor water pressure. Front desk excellent

Door lock not working properly (room 216) had to go downstairs 3x to get a working key, room TV turned on with no picture...maid service replaced towels but left beds unmade...ice machine was not working. morning coffee was not refilled at 7:30am with no one available or around to assist... will NOT return to this property.

The air was turned off in the room when we checked in and it was brutally hot (3pm 100 degrees outside) the room did not ever cool down.

The air conditioner was very noisy. The shower head location on the shower wall was for a person 4 feet tall. Very low.

Turned on water for a shower and 15 minutes later the water was Lukewarm. Thought maybe a bunch of people were using it so I tried 2 hours later, same results. Tried the next morning, same again. Also bathroom door latch was broke and had been for a while since it was rusted where broke. Could not use the door because of it. Room 306 don’t use it!

TV did not work

A/C wasn't on when we entered the room so it was at least 90 degrees inside. It took the room about an hour to cool off. Tub was rusty. Beautiful hotel on the outside but the rooms are very outdated.

Air conditioner not working, carpet is

From the outside and upon entering the lobby, this looked "very nice." But the room was just ok and the walls were "paper thin" - I heard a simple conversation from next door as if they were right next to me. Luckily, the desk clerk found me a room with no neighbors on a different floor - it was extremely slow the two nights I was there

The front desk clerk was unfriendly and lacked basic customer service skills, which made the check-in experience unpleasant.

The hotel staffs have no customer service skills. She lied to me she was going to send someone to bring us the 3 towels I asked her for. 3 hours later I called her the front desk again she says housekeeper was not on site. She can not get the towels. She never brought us the towels. She basically denied me as the customer who paid for a room 3 towels. Me as the customer who paid for a room is not her priority to serve. The front desk even have posted a sign says if you need towels, coffee machine, etc. ask the front desk. This is a false advertisement.

Property was nice enough. Staff were totally unconcerned about the booking issue and said it was totally up to Expedia: not their problem. While that is true, I could have used a little cheering up! At least they offered me the room for the night at the same rate as the mis-booked room. Still waiting to hear from Expedia on a refund!

The check-in process was a disaster. Not a good system on keeping track of occupied rooms. Many rooms being assigned with guests already in them. Then keys were not working right to the rooms. Guy at the front desk was all by himself. I waited an hour then was told to wait even longer so he could do the people behind me. Need to get a computer system to help manage room assignments!!

I was not shown or informed there would be a $100 hold on my credit card before or during booking; was told that during checkin, and was told that is how it is...after requesting a 7am room inspection so the verification would be made, the staff said that was booked. At 6:30 am the staff could not find that request, said it was then set in place. Shortly after 7am, the same staff admitted they could not provide a room inspection and do ismiss the hold on the card. The only thing consistent is they lied each time of contact and enquiry.

Since the initial question is about the check-in experience, I'll emphasize this review on it. Host was nice. No knock on her. However, the first attempt for a room was not successful. On my way to first room on fourth floor, noticed a big chunk of the ceiling had fallen down due to a burst pipe what was leaking water. Although they had buckets catching some of the water, it was obvious some of the carpet in the hallway was wet. Very unsafe! Walked into room with television still on, and you could tell someone was still in there, although I did not notice anyone. No need to elaborate on beds' conditions and all, since we all know what it means that someone was perhaps still there or may have just been chased out or something. Second room sent to, I walked in on folks, some of whom were still sleeping. Need I say more? Third attempt was successful. However, went out and came back to keys not working. Too many trips to counter for a one night stay. The one good thing is the receptionist (first one). P. S. I checked in a bit earlier, therefore was charged an additional $33, which was fine but imagine being tired and exhausted and encountering such frustration at check-in!

When we arrived, the hotel had no idea that we were coming ... no record of our reservation. Fortunately I had printed out my confirmation and gave it to the desk, which they looked at like it was a dead language. After about 15 minutes they finally booked us into a room. Not inspiring a lot of confidence for other reservations we've made ...

Great place to stay. Quiet and safe and close to a lot of restaurants.

Property was dated but decent for the stay. Right off I-10.

Nice and clean. Spacious. Easy off and on interstate 10. Convenient to downtown Tallahassee.

We stayed here for just one night during a road trip, and ended up with over $300 in hold fees — for what honestly felt like a crackhead motel. The area is sketchy, definitely not somewhere you’d want to walk around at night. We only needed a place to sleep, but this ended up being more expensive than some 5-star hotels we’ve stayed at. Ask about the fees before you book — nothing was made clear up front. Extremely disappointed. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Easily accessible from interstate. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was minimal and included nothing that fit my keto diet. My husband liked it. It met our needs for a one night stay.

Everything I needed for my one night stay. Pleasant staff, clean room, comfy bed, fine location.

The location conveniently by food

This was a very convenient location, close to freeway and grocery store. The lobby was fancy looking. The hotel room was not so fancy, just basic standard hotel room with all the usual features (mini fridge, etc). The room was in decent condition, some little things that could use repair, what you'd expect at this level hotel. Breakfast was disappointing. Packaged muffins, granola bars, apples, yogurt, water bottles, and coffee. Not a full service continental breakfast. Overall a decent place, would be happy to stay again if ever I was in the area. Staff was super friendly and professional.

I liked how quite it was and that the stores and restaurants were close

The ad in this hotel is not true. Very cheap breakfast not enough and definitely this is not a continental breakfast. Cheap about the Towels. Cheap about the toilet paper. Left us the open left over paper toilet from prior customers.Will not return to this hotel

The “breakfast” is a joke, yogurt, granola bars and a packaged pastry, and coffee. That barely reaches the level of a snack not a breakfast. “Free breakfast included” is a lie.

House keeping service and breakfast should be improved.
