Hopkins Ordinary Bed, Breakfast and Ale Works

The Inn was on a lovely property near a river walk. An amazing ale house is also on the property. Very quaint and comfortable. Games, books and a front porch swing were provided. Our hosts were accommodating and friendly. The Breakfests were exceptional with delightful farm fresh eggs and produce. Overall it was a very relaxing and fun getaway. A side note that Sperryville is a weekend town there was not much to do during the week.

Great place. Good food, great beer.

Great overnight stay. Brewery on the property. An upscale General store across the street with a cocktail bar and a Pizza Restaurant. Then Copper Fox Distillery, restaurants, shops and antiques right across the bridge. Close to Luray, Culpepper and lots of Wineries.

The main issue with this place is its price. It’s frankly overpriced for what you get. There is some traffic noise in the early morning since the house is close to a road. Breakfast was ok but limited items. Room was ok. I have stayed in many B&Bs and this B&B is not bad. It’s just overpriced ($350) for what you get in terms of room and breakfast. I expected more for the price.

Beautiful comfortable room with porch swing for afternoon and late evening relaxing. Tasty breakfast. Beer/ale tasting room in the basement. Thornton River walk steps away. Innkeepers Sherrie and Kevin do it all. We had a wonderful time there and will come back.
