Hampton Inn Dover

Hotel is very accessible from various roads and simple to access downtown. Front desk always happy to help. Parking is well-lit and ample. Continental breakfast is predictable but good. Pool is easy to reach with lots of towels available. Very clean. Good beds with lots of pillows. In all, a great restful stay.

Amazing experience here staff were incredibly friendly and informative, very clean facility the pool was extremely well kept driveways/parking lot are very well cared for during the not so great wintery days. All together a very comfortable welcoming stay would highly recommend and will return in the future

This hotel was a good find. It was close to my family so not much travel time, clean, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I am disabled and the accessible room was just what I needed. My only problem was that I couldn't find a close parking space when I returned to the hotel at 7:30 pm. There were no handicap spaces empty, and there were several Hilton Diamond spaces not being used. I am walker assisted and distance matters. I parked in the 5th row from the main entrance.

I am a below the knee amputee, so when I requested handicap accessible. Handicap parking was at a premium unless you were a rewards member. The distance I needed to walk from my vehicle to the entrance was a chore. I anticipated a first-floor room, but ended up on the second floor. The room was right in the middle of the hall, so the walk from the stairs or elevator was not close. The only accommodation that came with handicap request was the grab bars in the shower and a shower bench to attach to the tub. To add insult to injury, the indoor pool was closed for the weekend……no idea why…. but they could give us a pass to the local gym, miles away, that has a pool for use for free. Not really accommodating to have to dress to leave, bring swim gear to another location, then have to drive back to the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked well and there was plenty of hot water however, the room overlooked the cemetery. I do not see where that the room was worth $300 a night. We were only there for 1 night. The continental breakfast was low quality for the high price of the room, and we ended up going to a local restaurant in town for breakfast after we checked out. If I waited one more day to stay it would have been half the price. Just because it was a Saturday and everything else was booked up, this is price gouging at its finest in my opinion.

The work out area was poor. There are no weights and one of the few machines was out of order. The breakfast was not as good as other breakfasts I have had at Hampton Inns. The facility was tired appearing. The staff however was lovely.

My shower both mornings were ice cold! The “indoor” swimming pool was the temperature of an outdoor swimming pool. I only picked this location for the swimming pool and we couldn’t even utilize it! Very disappointed and won’t be back!

Additionally, the rooms only have showers—no bathtubs—so if soaking in a tub is important to you, this could be a drawback. Parking can also be an issue if you arrive late in the evening. The lot tends to fill up, so I recommend arriving early to secure a spot close to the entrance. Fortunately, the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free. Overall, the Hampton Inn, Dover offers good value, especially if you’re traveling with a pet and appreciate a free breakfast. Just keep in mind the limited parking, TV channels, and the lack of a tub if those are important factors for you.

Excellent property...nicely kept and the breakfast is good...nice selection everyday..although the staff can't speak English but not a huge deal...overall very nice clean hotel that has breakfast and a pool

Out bathroom was not clean

Bed skirts were dirty. Csrpet needed to be cleaned. Shower curtains are too short, and allow water out of the tub.

We had some stains on the carpet and our box spring sheets . It was not cleaned up.

The room was not cleaned. Mold in shower and hair, cobwebs on ceiling and blanket smelled of BO.

Dated but clean room. Lack fan in the bathroom and soap to wash hand (soery but body lotion is not soap). Very basic breakfast Slightly over priced

The heating/cooling system is somewhat noisy. Otherwise the room was very clean, spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was also good.

The outside looked like a New England cottage, which was nice. The bed was pretty bad. Probably old and very uncomfortable.

We were in a room next to the door outside & stairs. Every time someone went through the door, it would sound like our door was being opened. Other than that minor issue, everything else was great. Staff very friendly & helpful. Did not take advantage of the breakfast offered, so I can't comment on that.

Comfortable bed quiet room

The property was average with average amenities, the window shook if it got windy, but room was clean and comfortable.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was convenient and easy to access. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in/check-out was quick and smooth. I really appreciated the good service and overall pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others!

The hot breakfast was great as I only expected continental, but it had many hot options too. The staff was friendly and there to answer questions. I would stay again if ever in that area.

Friendly staff. Convenient to highway. Close to UNH. Several dining options within walking distance to the hotel. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Only issue was constant loud whirling sound coming from vent in the bathroom....sounded like Darth Vader on life support....that was somewhat annoying.

This is an amazing hotel. The staff is generally really nice. It’s very very clean.. but we had a problem with our stay. On Saturday morning, we got woken up to someone pounding on our door which I thought was hotel. Staff at 6:30 in the morning. I opened the door and the woman said oops sorry wrong room.. There was a Complete wedding party on the third floor and we were stuck as side of the main room. Saturday night when we went to bed at approximately 12 o’clock, the wedding party came back screaming yelling pounding on doors, slamming doors potty and on the third floor floor when we reached out to the front desk, they said they’d see what they could do which was nothing the party went on until about 4 AM at checkout when I talk to the woman at the desk, she really could care less about my concerns and the manager was unavailable at the moment . Wasn’t sure if hotels.com could do something about this seeing how the hotel would not..

Great Customer Service. 2nd stay here. clean comfortable room, good continental breakfast!

Our checkin and first night went smooth, but on day 2 we returned to our room and ALL of our belongings were gone. We went to the front desk and they told us no one was in that room. And they had someone throw all our belongings into two garbage bags! What the hell? The front desk person never even said sorry. The next day the manager did comp us for the 2nd night but the sense of violation lingers. Do NOT recommed this hotel!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite good. The mattress and pillows were not great.

The housekeeping was extremely rude to my husband in the elevator. He asked politely, if they mind moving out of the way to get out of the elevator and one woman made a snarky comment that she did mind. Also they were super loud cleaning the room next door to the point that our wall was shaking.

The staff was very friendly and the bed was comfortable. We have stayed here once before and will likely continue to, if we find ourselves in the area again.

Nice location, away from road noise

The rooms were nice and clean, the beds super comfortable. It was in a convenient location, within a close drive to Kittery Maine. I would definitely go back there again.

Went away for a few days, the hotel was very convenient to Dover and Portsmouth. The breakfast is pretty good for a hotel buffet, but nothing special. There's a 99 Restuarant next door and a lot of others near by. Dover is about 10 minutes away and Portsmouth about 20. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. My only complaint is the very slow elevator.

Room was nice and clean. I’m a Hilton member and I wasn’t offered the gift as I usually am at other Hiltons. The breakfast was terrible. At 9:00 am the sauage was cold, no eggs at all. No staff around to ask. I was very disappointed in this Hilton.
