It’s an old apartment. Carried my luggage to the fifth floor without a lift. The shower is too small, and the pipe was clogged. Toilet is shared, located outside of room. I arrived a bit late at night which is my problem, but I was very unhappy that the owner let her dog out without notice, which scared my partner. And she is not very friendly. When I was checking out, it was very annoying that she kept knocking at my door.

I would not recommend this place for anyone. First of all. You can entry the apartment only in the morning and in the evening after 7.30pm. I had been told that leaving luggage before check-in was possible but turned out it wasn't. No guest can have the key to the front door which is something I have never experienced before. Hostess lives in the apartment with 2 dogs, 2 cats and with a very loud parrot. Parrot is grey parrot which is an endangered African species with extreme intelligence. I felt sorry for the bird who was so loud it woked me up in the morning. Also the bigger dog was loud and barked every time the door bell rang. Bed was good and I had my own shower but there was no air condition and the room turned out quite hot. There was also this humming voice all night so I had to sleep with ear plugs. Breakfast was served with toasted bread, waffels, coffee and orange juice. Pretty basic and okay. Hostess was however quite nice but she didnt speak English too well. Biggest cons were the timetable with entering and of course the animals.

Lovely hosts but it was a little difficult to find the place and check in is available only after 7:30 PM which can be inconvenient. Also it should be mentioned on the listing that there are animals at the property, cute dogs but it would be nice if I knew ahead of time so I could take my allergy pills

No AC even in July! Late check in 7:30 PM with no flexibility or luggage holding. This is not a hotel, but a private residence. If you book the “art gallery” room with the mirror please know that it is a tiny room (see pictures) with no air and 1 window that you’re only allowed to open at night. To use the bathroom in the night, you need to leave the room and be on camera in a shared space. Plus, it’s actually located 200 meters away, so not advised if you have a lot of luggage. I’ve always trusted Hotels.com but after this experience I’ll need to vet much more carefully.

Il serait nécessaire d'améliorer la signalisation de l'hotel (chambres dans un appartement) au niveau de l'entrée de l'immeuble collectif : plaque au lieu d'un fléchage au feutre. Chambre coquette avec déco vénitienne. Petit déjeuner varié et copieux dans un patio intérieur très agréable. Bémol : pas de wc dans la chambre non signalé sur le site.

Ett mysigt och genuint boende i en historisk miljö. Bra service med en god kontinental frukost. Ett paradis för djurälskare med hundar, katter, en papegoja och en sköldpadda. Ett plus till värdinnan för väldigt trevligt bemötande.

Vi fick ett minirum, kallat studio fem trappor upp utan hiss, 135 trappsteg. Värdinnan var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående. Frukosten utmärkt. Huset är ritat av en av Frankrikes mest berömda arkitekter under 1800-talet. Atmosfären är fantastisk.

Séjour vraiment très agréable avec un personnel gentil et accueillant, petit déjeuner inclus très sympa, par contre beaucoup d’escaliers pour arriver jusqu’à l’appartement. Tout s’est très bien passé merci beaucoup pour votre accueil !

This place is NOT a hotel. Its a room for rent, with the owner across the hallway. No AC, no tv, bathroom tiny and smelled. 2 stars is a gift. If the price was 50E, I would have been satisfied.

Studio propre et hôte très sympathique et disponible. Petit déjeuner convivial

Le studio était propre ainsi que parfumé et équipée d'un petit frigo, micro ondes, de la vaisselle. On s'est senti comme chez soi. Pour le petit déjeuner, il a y eu du choix. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est calme et proche de la gare.

Le Check -in pas avant 19H30. Le check-out 10hrs. Demande d'une caution de 700 euros. Sinon la carte d'identité a été gardé par l'hôte ce qui est illégal. La présence d'un chien sans une surveillance humaine pas très rassurant. Quand à la chambre aucune commodité pas de penderie pas de lampe de chevet . La housse et les oreillers pas très propres Pareil pour la salle de bain pas de crochet pour suspendre . Le petit-déjeuner bien.

Per carità... arriviamo alle 15:30 e non ci ha accolto nessuno, dopo svariate telefonate arriva la signora che ci cazzia perché eravamo in anticipo, non eravamo informate sul check in alle 19:30. Il pavimento all'ingrosso della ns stanza era pieno di escrementi di cane e la signora dopo 10 minuti se ne accorge e con disinvoltura li butta ne wc che sarebbe stato il nostro, condiviso con altri ma lo abbiamo capito dopo. Quindi lasciamo gli zaini a terra con il rischio che 3 cani ci pisciassero sopra e al ritorno erano li ancora a terra nonostante che la stanza fosse pronta."cosa le costava metterli al riparo dentro". La stanza puzzava di cane, non credo che le lenzuola fossero lavate con il sapone perché puzzavano. La notte ci siamo morte di freddo, i cuscini di arredo e le finestre non si chiudevano. Le persiane non potevano essere chiuse perché c'erano i vasi quindi ci siamo svegliate all'alba. Alla mia gentile richiesta di un caffè alle 8:30 la signora mi ha detto che avrei dovuto aspettare le 9 perché era l'appuntamento della colazione fino alle 9:30. La colazione... parliamone. Scarsa, stoviglie sporche, con i prodotti buttati li sul tavolo senza cura e igiene, il pane era totalmente bruciato e riciclato da un tavolo all'altro. Non solo, lo yogurt non era neanche accompagnato dal cucchiaino, ok noi non siamo cani , come si fa. Dopo 20min ci invita ad andarcercene e non è stata disposta a tenere gli zaini fino alle 18.

Centre-ville quartier malfamé. Chambre lugubre, pratiquement sans fenêtre. Bestioles ? Punaises

Accueil très chaleureux et convivial dans un bien avec beaucoup de cachet, de belles pièces design. Un lieu propre et silencieux, très bien situé. La propriétaire connait tout Marseille et donne de précieux conseils et recommandations.

Privat hos en sød ung pige. Meget lille værelse og endnu mindrebadeværelse.

Je déconseille, un bug informatique aurait réservé 2 fois notre chambre… nous avons payé plus de 90 euros pour dormir dans un placard à balai, sans fenêtre, sans toilettes, avec un ventilateur et une chaleur étouffante.

Lovely host delicious breakfast and beautiful room. Although we had tall roof in room it was hot, we needed a fan.

Très bonne adresse dans un quartier vivant, un peu désorientatant au début, mais l'appartement immense vous fera découvrir une hotesse chaleureuse, d'une humanité hors du commun et qui connaît Marseille comme sa poche. Et ses petits déjeuner... Huum! Bref, une très bonne expérience.

Le seul petit bémol pour moi a été le fait de devoir libérer l’appartement de 10h à 19h, ce qui a un peu compliqué mon organisation. Mais dans l’ensemble, nous avons passé un agréable moment. The cash key deposit is a scam. The property has two doors to get in, the deposit only gives you access to one of the doors, as a result you do not have access to the property unless the property owner is home. Additionally, you have to work around her work schedule and routine. As a result you have to be out of the door by 10 am and back for 7:30 pm to be let back in, otherwise you don’t have access to the property. She also has an early bedtime , making it hard to go out at night. You need to call her as well to be let back in making for an expensive phone bill if you do not have a French SIM card. There are also many pets on the property that are not listed (birds). There is no air conditioning as well. The description of the property is very misleading, you are essentially staying in her apartment , not a separate space. I tried to get a partial refund as we found out all these inconveniences only after check in but she was quite rude and dismissive. A huge let down, we had to book another place last minute.

Our hostess was incredibly delightful, Jamila made our stay memorable. The property is quaint and has so much character. It is very close to public transportation and takes about 10 minutes to get to the Old Port. Would love to return !

Personne inhumaine et sans dignité ne dormez pas ici ! J’ai réservé deux nuit dans cette appartement à Marseille. La première nuit j’ai eu problème personnel au travail ce qui m’a fais arrivé avec 5 minutes de retard. Cette dame étais prévenu depuis plus d’une heure mais n’est pas venue m’ouvrir en me disant par message que l’on doit respecter les horaires. Je lui ai donc expliqué mon problème en lui disant que ma seule solution étais de dormir ici et elle m’a répondu en me disant que ce n’étais pas son problème et que même avec une minute de retard elle ne m’ouvrirait pas la porte. J’ai donc dormi la première nuit dehors. Je demande alors un remboursement de la seconde nuit afin d’avoir les fonds nécessaires pour dormir ailleurs. Elle a refusé, je lui ai donc dis que je viendrais dormir à contre coeur. Une fois arrivé devant chez elle la vieille dame descend avec un chien de garde et me demande avec un grand sourire 500€ en liquide si je veux dormir chez elle. N’ayant pas l’argent j’ai du une nouvelle fois dormir à la rue. Au cours de ma vie je n’ai jamais vu une personne avec aussi peu de principe, de respect et de malhonnêteté. Ce personnage va sûrement répondre à mon commentaire en disant que je suis un menteur ou d’autre chose comme elle le fais avec tout les commentaires négatifs mais si vous avez un doute n’hésitais pas à me contacter car je possède tout les messages. J’ai perdu 120€ mais j’ai largement préféré dormir a la rue que chez cette individu.

Concierge agressive, le logement ne correspond pas à l'adresse indiquée. Accès par une porte de garage métallique. Petit déjeuner dans un autre immeuble à plus de 200m. Demande de caution de 700 euros en liquide. Nous avons décidé de ne pas prendre la chambre et demandons le remboursement, qui pour le moment nous est refusé.

Arrivée en retard a cause de mon TGV .avec preuve a l'appui , l'hébergante n'a rien voulu savoir , ne répond pas au téléphone et ne veux surtout pas rembouser , j' ai été 3 h a la rue avant de retrouvé un hôtel

C'est un quartier gare. Donc une population intense qui n'inspire pas la tranquillité, et qui ne rassure pas

El edificio es muy antiguo y la habitación queda en un quinto piso sin ascensor, para el precio me parece muy costoso, no es una zona segura, como beneficios, queda cerca de varios sitios turísticos,tiene muy buen acceso al transporte público, la persona que nos atendió fue súper amable, la habitación está bien acondicionada para descansar y dan desayuno gratis,

I arrived quite late after my work and the owner was so nice and accommodating ! She asked me not to ring the bell so as to not wake the other guests and she waited for me to call her so she could open for me. The room was very comfortable and beautiful. I had to leave early in the morning and was unable to enjoy the breakfast but I sincerely hope to stay again at this lovely Chambre d'Hotes just next to the Marseille train station

Die Gastgeberin ist nett, aber bestimmt. Entgegen der Buchung (8 Uhr) war das Frühstück erst ab 9 Uhr möglich und war nicht kontinental, sondern Französisch (kein Käse / Wurst / Ei). Es gab wohl einen Joghurt, eine Waffel sowie ein Stück Obst. Der junge Schäferhund springt die Gäste an, was nicht jeder mag. Auf der Toilette gibt es trotz Nachfrage keine Seife, in der Dusche kein Shampo. Das kleine Zimmer befindet sich im 5 oder 6 Stock was bei den sehr hohen Decken heißt, sehr viele Stufen hoch laufen! Ziemlich bedenklich finde ich die Befestigung der Duschstange mit einem Nagel, an dem ich mich fast verletzt hatte.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli. Endroit agréable avec un des bonnes gaufres maisons pour le petit dej ;)
