Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Saint Clairsville

All of the staff members were very nice and professional. The gentleman that prepared breakfast on Sunday was extremely rude and very mean. Our otherwise perfect stay was hampered just by encountering him. His general demeaner was like a black cloud in the eat in area. I forgot to read his name tag as I tried to steer clear of him after one atempt of a cordial exchange. This gentleman worked on 5/10/26 during breakfast hours. The cleaning staff was extremely nice as was the several front desk staff. I wouldve given less than 4 stars but did not want to overlook the other staff that was very professional. I don't know why this great property would want to continue his employ. I really hope this review is read by the appropriate people so they can take any action so noone else has to be subject to his poor behavior.

We appreciated the space and updates to the room. The room was clean and loved the updates to the bathroom. We would definitely choose this hotel again. The breakfast was as expected with the usual cold and hot items. My only criticism is that the beds are a bit firm, pillows were flat, and the sink didn’t drain well, but I’ve stayed at worse places.

We arrived at 1115pm with two sleeping children after purchasing "the last room" to hear that we had to wait while they cleaned the room! We sat in the lobby for over an hour. We weren't the only ones waiting either. If I wasn't going to lose the $180 we paid I would've drove another hour to get another room.

The staff was unbelievably kind and helpful! The room was great, the hotel facilities were great, the only downside at all was the sheets were a little sandpapery, not very soft.
