Great one night stay en route to Silverstone. Staff were responsive when I messaged with a query ahead of the stay, and super friendly and polite when there. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, lots of free parking and great individual freshly cooked breakfast options in the morning. Will definitely return!

In the heart of Deddington a very reasonably priced stay. Enjoyed the evening meal in the Restaurant. I would stay again.

This is a lovely pub in a beautiful, picturesque village that is very convenient for visiting many attractions within about 20 miles of the village. Dinner was good, breakfast was excellent and our waitress at breakfast was exceptional. Our room had been repainted fairly recently and it was functional, but don’t expect luxury. Twin beds were comfortable but no headboard. The wall mirror was so high, my wife couldn’t see herself and the ‘tea tray’ was basic (and the cheap kettle had water left in it). The bathroom was dated and in need of a re-fit but it was clean enough. I didn’t have a problem with the 12.5% discretionary service charge at dinner but it might offend some. Car park was adequate, but there is building work being undertaken at the far end, with access for tradespeople via the car park. Overall, our stay was good, elevated by an excellent breakfast experience but it could easily be lifted to a much higher level with some investment in the room (bathroom in particular), a new access door to the corridor from the car park and happier staff at dinner.

One night stay-room was a little shabby but clean and tidy. We were woken at 7.30am by building work. Outside our room there was plaster and building materials on the ground so we assumed they were plastering-not what we expect early on a weekend morning! Spoiled our stay!

On arrival we found that the hotel was actually bigger than we expected, Reception was closed due to our late arrival but the staff on the bar welcomed us in and gave us our room keys/cards. The rooms weren't as expected either, we expected a standard hotel room but instead we got a wonderful annex room at the rear of the venue with our own private access and staircase. The overall experience of staying in the hotel was brilliant from the pleasant staff to the wonderful breakfast and waiting staff. In all we'd stay again but unfortunately the 5 hour drive restricts is.

Looks OK from the outside and is conveniently placed for visiting Blenheim. Unfortunately the place needs some attention. We were a party of 6 and all had the same rooms which had a seating area and bathroom on the ground floor and a bed upstairs. As you had to negotiate the stairs in the middle of the night there was a very bright green warning sign which lit up the whole room. The bedside cabinet was missing a handle so the drawer could not be used. There was no TV in the downstairs sitting area although my friends in the other rooms both had TV's downstairs. The shampoo and shower gel fell off the wall, luckily it did not cause any injury. The bathroom was very shabby and very dated. There was no towel rail near the sink so we had to leave it on the top of the toilet, there is a heated towel rail but it is not close to the sink or the bath. As the rooms are not cleaned unless you request it we ran out of loo roll and had to go in search of someone to get it replaced. The restaurant was not much better. Even though the reception were aware that we were a party of 6 that did not have a table for us at breakfast. Breakfast was quite good with a selection of items that are cooked to order. We ate in the restaurant on our 2nd evening and the food was reasonable. We asked the waitress if she could reserve a table for us for breakfast the next morning yet when we arrived we again let down as they had not reserved us a table. Seems a total lack of communication between the staff.

The room was very tired, mould around the bath tub, and the toilet roll holder fell apart. The wood surround at the back of the bed creaked with every move. However, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent!

Clean and tidy whilst the bathroom could do with a little attention but clean. Couldn’t open the bedroom window and it was very hot during the night.

Room clean and comfortable. Included breakfast and service excellent. Bathroom tiling needs upgrading. No option to stop towels being changed every day.

In room bin was emptied every day,but as I made up the bed that was just left didn't attempt to do it again to there standard . Bathroom was not cleaned as I left a bit of toothpaste on sink(by mistake) it was still there on the day I was left, towels were not replaced & just left where I had left them. Hap hazard,slap dash. At breakfast I had to wait a good ten minutes before I was asked about tea/coffe guests came in after me & served right away, cooked breakfast, bacon overcooked, eggs under cooked swimming in grease.

Room was comfortable and there was adequate storage for clothes. I would have given 5 stars if there was somewhere to hang hand towels in the sink area and for bath towels in main bathroom there was only a small very towel rail or a hook on the back of the door. The grouting and sealant around our bath was very black and needed a clean. Otherwise we enjoyed a very nice breakfast each morning and had a good stay. Parking was good. Deddington is central to many places to visit.

Stay here fairly regularly while visiting family in Deddington. Rooms have varied in standard. This visit the room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant service excellent, very helpful and friendly. Bathroom OK but shower could do with renewing and extract fan didn't work. But overall, good value for money.

Great drop off place in a beautiful, historical village. Accomodation good a little worn and a few cobwebs, overall good . Had evening meal in pub restaurant very nice space, food a little over complected and not particularly tasty. However breakfast was very good.

Property tired but clean where it needed to be..The staff from start to finish superb.. Quality and variety off meals very good indeed.. Property set in a lovely village and inter within beautiful countryside.. We will return to Deddington.. A very positive experience.. Thank you to all the staff..

No soap in the bath dispenser and mould/dirt the the tiling grouting local to the bath.

This lovely pub had a lot to offer and overall I had a good 2night stay here. As early evening arrival it was nice that my key was all there ready for me My room was at the back of this pub through separate doors making it very quiet. It was of a nice size with decent mirrors and well positioned plugs, so getting ready as a guest attending a wedding made it easy. On a down side the room was very hot. The floor in both the bedroom & bathroom felt like it had underfloor heating on but I think it was maybe the hot water pipes and although it had 2 large windows that opened being on the ground floor with the carpark right outside felt like someone could climb in. There was a fan in the room but it was not that good, old needs replacing. The cooked breakfast in the morning was excellent. Nicely prepared and great choice on offer. All the staff were cheerful and attentive.

Lovely stay, breakfast was lovely, best I've had! Room was spacious and bed was comfy. A loose tile on the bathroom and room a bit warm but other than that it was lovely!

We stayed in a room in the courtyard with two levels, the bathroom & a sofa was downstairs & the bedroom was up some stairs. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, which didn’t have a very good spray & was very close to the wall so not ideal if washing your hair Breakfast was good. Overall good value.

Food / Bar area and the receptionist at checkout are great. Rooms are quite tired and need a refurb. Very hot to stay in the summer. No ventilation, no aircon.

Room was a bit shabby. Great food and service in the restaurant. The WiFi was absolutely terrible and kept dropping every few seconds. Not the best overnight stay I’ve had.

Comfortable bed, though room was very hot (one part of the floor was always warm, room 9) so in the hot weather it was very hard to cool down. Great food in the restaurant but I’m not a fan of ‘Discretionary service charges’ being automatically applied to food bills… much better to price the meal including service on the menu, or invite a gratuity… Breakfast had a good choice of dishes, though allow 20 minutes for it to be prepared. Pretty village and quiet at night.

Very tired old suite with an awkward tub shower. Very poor wifi - most of the time non-existent actually.

We like the Room, the Facilities, the Surroundings the Dinning options, the flexibility, and the evening staff at the Restaurant. The things we don't like, are the Breakfast staff at the Restaurant, they don't seems to have a People skills, they barely talk to guest. One Waitress, approach our table, carrying 2 Flask of Hot drinks, didn't say a word, just stood there, waited for us to say, " can we have coffe please. then she poured us 2 cups of coffee and walked off, didn't say a word, and didn't come back to offer a top up of coffee or anything else. and the rest of the breakfast staff, hardly says a word to any guest. we have to call them to order our food. No issues with foods, just the service & staff. They could do much better, and get training to be friendly and approachable in our opinion.

Very relaxed atmosphere with delightful friendly and helpful staff.

Such wonderful people. So kind letting us stay a little later to get ready for a memorial, the room was excellent, good size and plant of hot water in the shower. A little dated but I’m ok with that as felt ‘Rustic’ The included breakfast was Outstanding. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night as my partner had to be at hospital for an early morning appointment. The staff were just very caring and friendly and let me stay in the room a little longer whilst waiting for a call to pick my partner up after his procedure . Breakfast was very good .

Its the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel. We like because it is close to family and there are also others attractions close by. Deddington is a nice little village. We have always found the property clean and staff are great. We noticed this time the room needs updating and freshening up. They serve a very good breakfast and for dinner there is a good choice. Restuarant is very comfortable.

Had lovely 2 night stay. The hotel is in a lovely village. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was very good and the evening meal was excellent.

Hotel in nice location. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Toilet bowl in room 26 broken but still usable. Rust in bath and shower only fully usable if you are under 5ft in height. Breakfast a wide variety of choice and good quality. However the breakfast team could have been a little more attentive, for example having to go and ask for more coffee rather than be offered.

Interesting old style property well presented. Nice comfortable room with en-suite. Limited vegetarian food options. Most unusual veg wellington made with beetroot. Very unpleasant. In contrast the pork belly plate was an excellent choice. Very good breakfast. All staff were really pleasant and helpful. Very limited/poor wi-fi.

A pleasant stay in a nice country pub. Food was lovely. Drinks a bit pricey and 12.5% added to bill if you open a tab ( even for drinks) which you go up to the bar for yourself. I did not think this was very fair so asked to remove it. Enjoyed my stay and beds were lovely snd comfy.
