Lovely historic inn, close to shops and eateries, including the restaurant downstairs. Great cassoulet. Good-sized room, with a nice bathroom. If stairs are a problem, you will need to reconsider your options. Loved the long upstairs balcony at the front of the inn where guests can sit, read, have a drink, etc

This is a charming rural hotel that is small dog friendly. Great restaurant downstairs, and free Level 2 EV charging around back. The area is quite affluent, so be prepared for inflated price tags in the local chops. Also, there were a lot of loud car yahoos attempting to compensate for their masculine shortcomings.

Good size room with comfortable bed. No in-room coffee maker or refrigerator but there was a communal one in the hall. Lovely covered balcony for guests to enjoy. No frills, but perfectly fine accommodation. Not a location for anyone with mobility issues as registration and rooms are on 2 upper floors reached by steep stairs.

The property is historical, unique and lovely. We were greeted warmly and everything was thoroughly explained. The rooms are comfortable and very charming. There are gathering spaces on each floor for coffee, tea and conversation. The balcony is full of flowers and has ample seating. A great place to stay!

area was perfect to visiting around the village. Room was very clean . I am on the 3th floor, no escalator. street very noise during the day! Balcony on a second floor with many seat and hammock are perfect in the evening!

Great old fashion hotel, staff very friendly and very helpful. Room was clean. Very basic and it served its purpose well. The only only downside is , that it is a very old building, so it doesn't have an elevator. And it's impossible to install one. So it you have very heavy suitcases, this will be an issue. I do recommend to stay there, because of it's charming old style and the peoples friendliness

It met expectations for budget-friendly options, and the central location can't be beat. The walls are thin / you can hear people clearly walking or talking by the door or using the common kitchen if you have a room by there. Bed comfortable enough and has good character. The bath tub caulking was a bit moldy but, overall, the stay was decent and staff friendly.

Love this hotel-second time staying. Charming and beautiful - there was hair in the tub-huge turn off and the "twin" bed was horrendous to sleep on. Extremely uncomfortable. Service is extremely friendly as always!

I have stayed at Auberge Knowlton a number of times and am always pleased with the experience. The rooms are clean, the bed comfy, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. I was disappointed that the inn no longer serves breakfast but, given the complications that the pandemic created for the hospitality industry, it is understandable and I hope they will be able to resume that option for guests. We had dinner there and were delighted by the service and the meal in the cozy atmosphere.

What a charming hotel in the heart of Knowlton! My room was clean and comfortable, and my sister and I loved the fact that we could walk to local restaurants, shops, etc. was the room chic and modern? No. Did it have everything I needed for a comfortable stay? Absolutely!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the inn - a storm knocked out the power to the town - but the inn stayed fully lit & running at all times with its own generator system - very impressed by that - the history & atmosphere of the inn is great as well as the front desk staff - we very much enjoyed spending time on the upper porch balcony - our only complaint would be the need to update the bed mattresses to something more soft & comfortable plus having an ice machine on-site for guests - with these two items addressed - I would then be able to give the inn the highest grade & recommendation - I was glad of our choice & would stay again - Thx

The staff was extremely friendly, our bed comfortable, and suite #1 provided plenty of room for us - living area, step up to roomy bed area, and bathtub/shower combo in bathroom. The hotel rooms are located on the second and third floors (accessible by stairs). Restaurants within minimum walking distance and one downstairs with outdoor seating.

the hotel is very convenient to what we were doing. However the bed in room 5 needs upgrading as it noisy and was worn and the lock on the door needs to be fixed as it felt like it would fall off. But the price was right so we were happy.

Quaint, older auberge. Our room was lovely and clean. It was, however, very noisy on the outside as it was at a busy intersection. Not only loud pick ups and school buses, but also construction vehicles working several blocks away. There is a really special cafe and bookstore a few buildings away. Three Pines-ish (see Louise Penny) cafe and if you ask, the barista will add a cinnamon or cocoa three pines. Almost too beautiful to drink.

My mom received a pretty rude and non pleasant welcome when she checked in (a woman that was there to help but not an employee). But all the rest of the personnel / employees where super nice. Hotel is nice, difinitly a unique antique style, room is comfortable. The Hotel is located in the heart of Knowlton, which is great.

Room was lovely and clean. Great location. Shower did not work property. Impossible to contact staff. I called 5 times, no answer. I emailed twice, no reply. When I got there, no staff. My husband arrived earlier and had to wait about 20 for someone to show up.

I have stayed at Auberge Knowlton on a few previous occasions and always find the rooms clean, reasonably priced, and convenient to everything in downtown Knowlton as well as Lac-Brome. There is occasional confusion if you arrive late as the desk is not always staffed, however, the Relaise Restaurant staff on the first floor is always helpful (and serves good food, too).

The Auberge had a lot of potential. It has old world charm, it’s comfortable and clean. However the service is lacking. We had minimum interaction with one employee and it was very cold. This was when we arrived, around noon, and we were sent away because it was too early. It was, but there are different ways to address customers who arrive with a smile asking, not demanding, if the room was ready. We returned at 5 and found an envelop in reception with our key. And we left at 9:00 and left the keys in a jar. This is not what we expected from a hotel at that price range.

We enjoyed our stay. Auberge Knowlton is close to the Lac-Brome Bookstore and Caron Coffee Shop, which serves great coffee and delicious pastries! We enjoyed walking around the village. The restaurant offered beautifully prepared and presented entrees for a fair price. Staff was helpful and kind. Great experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was pleasant, comfortable. Disappointed that there was no cream/milk, water for coffee maker etc. We ate in the restaurant and unfortunately, there was only one chef and one waitress - service was extremely slow - we entered at 6:30 and did not get served until after 8. Felt so bad both server. Food was delicious once we got it. - hope to return one day.

Lovely, quiet place. No luxurious but comfortable. In the heart of Knowlton with shops and restaurants close by and a fabulous bookstore. The only downside for some travelers is the absence of an elevator as the hotel is on the 2nd floor, 1st floor if floor designated in the continental manner, so a flight of stairs.

Location was great for exploring Knowlton and the Eastern Townships. It was a bit noisy because lots of big trucks go by.

Location was great for exploring Knowlton and the Eastern Townships. It was a bit noisy because lots of big trucks go by.

Fun hotel from a different era, 150 years old, the place oozes old time hotel history. Beautifully kept, and at the main crossroads of the town. And when it snows, you are in a hallmark movie!

We enjoyed our stay. Auberge Knowlton is close to the Lac-Brome Bookstore and Caron Coffee Shop, which serves great coffee and delicious pastries! We enjoyed walking around the village. The restaurant offered beautifully prepared and presented entrees for a fair price. Staff was helpful and kind. Great experience.

We loved being in the middle of Knowlton. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our only concern was we were on the 3rd floor with no elevator and very steep stairs. A lady who worked there was so kind and helped us with our luggage.

Lovely historic inn, close to shops and eateries, including the restaurant downstairs. Great cassoulet. Good-sized room, with a nice bathroom. If stairs are a problem, you will need to reconsider your options. Loved the long upstairs balcony at the front of the inn where guests can sit, read, have a drink, etc

Very friendly people the lady who checked us in waited until we got there, which was after hours and then treated us very well. One thing I was disappointed in was the fact that the restaurant was not open in the morning for any kind of breakfast at all. In fact, no restaurant was open for any kind of breakfast before 9 o’clock and most were open at 11:30. The room was fine simple but just what I needed. They have a great upper balcony for coffee in the morning however, in the summer it is very noisy as it’s right at the main intersection in town and there are a lot of cars going through there.

Everything about the hotel and room was great. But at the restaurant downstairs was a bit disapointing ther menu was redusted to just 1 page not a lot of options (du to covid) and the shortage of staff... And no breakfast during the week just on weekends. But still a great place to go! People wer very nice everywher we whent! Shopping was fun. A lot od local stuff!

We enjoyed our stay. Room was pleasant, comfortable. Disappointed that there was no cream/milk, water for coffee maker etc. We ate in the restaurant and unfortunately, there was only one chef and one waitress - service was extremely slow - we entered at 6:30 and did not get served until after 8. Felt so bad both server. Food was delicious once we got it. - hope to return one day.

I've stayed here before and it's pretty much the same. Great location, aging, but kept up rooms, no staff around, decent restaurant downstairs, but the ac/air was not great. Had to open the windows to cool down.

The location of the Auberge is perfect for walking in, and around, Knowlton. Free parking, adjacent restaurant, and a community area with two fridges, a microwave and coffee maker.

Knowlton is a beautiful town, with lots of shops and restaurants to explore. The downfall is if you are staying Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday a lot of the shops are closed. Home of famous author Louise Penny was the reason we stayed here on our trip. She has opened a cafe and bookstore where you can buy Three Pines merchandise. After our departure we headed to Virgin Hill Coffee for delicious coffee and a breakfast croissant. It is about ten minutes away from the inn on Chem. Lakeside. Definitely worth a visit. The inn itself is quite historic, as were the beds and rooms…very small. However, there is a games/coffee room you can go to which is equipped with a kettle, coffee, tea, etc. There is also a large lovely common balcony you can take your own drinks to. We will definitely return to Knowlton!
