Hickory Falls Inn

A Must Stay!!! I rented the apartment here and it was Home away from Home! I rented it to just get away for the weekend. The owner and staff are so kind! We spent 4 days here. It is absolutely Gorgeous!! I have stayed at other places but Hickory Falls Inn gives you an experience of a lifetime when it comes to down home country mountain living or just to Get Away from everything. The check in and out is Self Service which is amazingly convenient, a guest closet if you are to need anything and a lounge just to relax! I did have an issue with my bedroom TV the last day we were there but the Manager and Owner were not hesitant about contacting me ASAP. They both contacted me personally which was awesome! I have T-Mobile so the phone signal is hit and miss at times but that is to be expected in the mountains and we had a storm while there but you do have good reception inside and outside of the room. I loved seeing the rain from our window and porch! The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed for a perfect weekend! There’s the town to your left which has stores and places to eat! Constantly hearing the water as it flows down the river is Amazing and our view from the room was Spectacular! We walked out of our door and there is the mountain with the waterfall! It’s a must see in person and only at Hickory Falls Inn. This trip meant so much to me. My dad unfortunately passed away in September of last year. Everything we needed and nothing we did not. I enjoyed the entire self serve experience. Never met nor needed to meet anyone to support our stay. Self checkin. Self serve coffee 24/7. Really enjoyed it. Clean and nice decor

Updated fixtures, etc but bed broken, bathroom smell of mold, dead bugs on floors. Guest lounge water cooler unplugged and not working.

Simple check in . Small rooms that appear to have been updated. Clean rooms. Parking right at the door. I would stay here again.

I loved the coffee lounge and the dog park.

We enjoyed our stay. The parking was a little lacking but understood the reason.

Staff communication was great and timely! Very comfortable king size bed (not too soft, not too hard). Good water pressure in shower. Had a dog park area on premises!!!! (one section of fence currently down, but no issue for my pup). Quiet evenings/nights. Cute, interesting shops very close and a walkable down town.

This was a clean and quaint place to stay. Dog friendly and roomy. We loved the dog run that let the pooches potty behind a fence for safety. We pray the property was not harmed by the flood as that area seems to be a target for a lot of the flooding we see on the news days after we stayed. Praying for the community and this little INN. For the area this property is good. It has a great view so that makes up for any flaws it has. Pros- room clean and cool on a hot summers day. The area is super close to attractions, self check in and owner is quick to respond and courteous. Fridge and microwave. Nice lounge area with keurig coffee maker. Met cleaning staff she was super nice. Smart TV. Good shower. Easy Check in. Cons- older building. Smells of older room. Did not see fire extinguishers in ceiling. Extremely noisy you can hear neighbors from all sides and upstairs as well as road noise (right on the road). We did find a few hairs in the towels and bedsheets. Otherwise clean. The room was quaint and well lit. Different types of small bugs in room.

Property was quiet and clean. 1minute drive to downtown Chimney Rock. Only suggestions would be to have bigger trashcans in rooms. The ones available were tiny. There was no water in the lounge area. The water cooler was empty all weekend. Bring an extra pillow and the ones available are small. Other than that we would stay again.

Very cute roadside inn. Very clean. Rooms were very basic, but they were perfect for sleeping.

Property does NOT uphold their pay at property option, if you choose this you will pay more and be charged the full amount days before check in. Hotels.com agreed with me this was not ok and are working to have my money returned to me. The property will not contact you to inform you of their policies when you book. In fact the communication from this property is almost non existent and when I was able to get in touch they are unapologetic and flat out rude. Room had not been cleaned when we checked in. There was an entire spider web, centipede and brown dried stains in the bathtub. The room smelled like musty mold/mildew. There was no cover on the exhaust fan in the bathroom and spewed dirt all over when turned on. Lounge had no ice, exposed cables and wires and the fridge in room would NOT stay closed. The bed was so hard the floor would have been more comfortable. It was so uncomfortable that we left a day early because I could barely walk from being in pain and property REFUSED to refund the unused night much less apologize for the room being unacceptable. Shortly after it started to rain a brown liquid started seeping out of the bathroom wall. No idea what it was or where it was coming from. Be warned, they leave stale Sams club snacks in the room and their policy states they will keep your deposit if anything is consumed or used from the room. No price list in room makes this illegal and blatant theft.

The road is busy, and we were worried about being able to sleep, but it definitely quieted down after sunset. Would definitely stay here again!

Our room was clean!!! This property is an absolute gem! We enjoyed sitting out on the patio with a stunning view of Chimney Rock and Hickory Falls! It surpassed my expectations!!! Highly recommend!!!

Room was immaculate upon arrival. Freshly updated decor. Very cozy! Loved the lounge area. Very family friendly. Highly recommend to couples, families etc. Great little hidden gem.

I had an all night stomper in the room above me. Thin walls and floors.

We enjoyed the look and freshness of the room. We had a little trouble with the shower temperature but al in all we enjoyed our stay.

It was a nuce quiet hotel but really close to the road. The view was nice as long as you were looking out or up from the balcony. We were able to see Chimney Rock and the waterfall from the balcony. The campground across the street was a little rickety but our hotel was cute and nice. The beds were super comfy but with good support. The vintage looking mini fridge and microwave was a really cute touch.

The only complaint I had about staying here was how thin the walls were. We could hear the guest in the room next door to us and don’t even get me started on the guest in the room above us. It sounded as though they were bowling up there.

Basic room was comfortable and adequate for a one nights stay. Would suggest taking a white noise machine - the road noise died down, but could hear some noise from nearby rooms and overhead.

very nice place. impressed with the room. did not like tv. i am used to cable. could not watch anything but news and cartoons thjat were free. could not watch live tv, alwalys got error nessages making attempts to watch live. think settings are off, needs attention!!

It's cute but rooms are extremely small and it's odd not to have a front desk. The dog run is the best feature in our opinion. Also having window units for AC is not ideal.

I had approval for two beds for me and my wife. Small queen size bed in very very tiny room shouldn’t costume $312.45 for two days!! No extra towels for second day and can’t get hold of person. I need my money back for this place and was discussing charging me this much for so little they provide. Worst place ever and service for all my trips so far

The contactless check in was very easy and convenient for our group, and the guesthouse was very close to the shopping and dining area. It also had a beautiful view of a waterfall down the mountain that can be seen from the porch. The staff was extremely helpful when we contacted them with questions, and we had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning customers!

Office management is very responsive through text.

Great stay! Came for a few days for my birthday and the location was perfect. Very quiet, non busy location. The economy apartment felt like a home away from home. Close enough to Asheville not to be a hassle of a drive. We loved that it was in nature and near a river. Also really enjoyed the self check in and out system. Very friendly and helpful staff, although i never met them in person.

This was concerning, but I was emailed early on how everything would work. My worries went away quickly because even though there was no one on site, I was still constantly informed by text of what to expect upon arrival and who to call if needed. We had no issues and my family enjoyed our short stay in a unique location, close to town.

Good location from restaurants and shops, close to park. Noisy upstairs visitors made it annoying at night
