Hyatt Place Milford/New Haven

Hotel and room was great! Manager was very pleasant and breakfast was delicious. Hot tub was clean and HUGE! Gum was well equipped. The fan in bathroom didn’t work but that was the only issue. Great stay!

Parking was easy and close walk.

Property is a hidden gem because it's in an industrial area. Breakfast is good, enjoyed the heated whirlpool to relax. Staff was very welcoming.

I booked my stay here for the hot tub. To my dismay, the hot tub was under repair. But, the desk clerks call every hotel around, hoping to find me a place that hadone. They certainly did not have to! They felt bad that this happened to my stay. I ended up staying there, as nobody near had one. Breakfast was hearty, and room was clean. Will definitely be back!

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is in the morning was not bad . Oh and hotel has a Jacuzzi big one A big Jacuzzi.

Several great restaurants nearby. Very near highways/interstate connections. Hotel is a little dated. Breakfast food area was congested - but there is amble seating. I REALLY like a fresh waffle maker which was not available. Very convenient area to print airline boarding passes. Staff at the front desk were exceptional!

Our stay was fine. Room was ok, bed very comfortable but the hallway was very noisy all night and the pool was permanently closed.

Our room had a bed bug, it was crawling near my 4 year old child while he was sleeping. Our room was moved but no courtesy phone was given as requested from management. No partial reimbursement was offered or other accommodations. Imagine moving small children plus bags to a whole different floor at 2am in the morning. The staff did their best with what they could do but won’t be returning since management didn’t even bother to reach out.

This property is run down. It used to nice but it is not being kept up. Our first room had torn curtains, a very dirty bedspread and the room was worn down. We asked to move to a room that was in better shape. We moved and found the next room to be a bit better for wear on the furnishings - and a clean bed spread - but the curtains were tattered and the light shield curtains were torn up too. Don't expect any amenities. They charge of for anything you might need. There will no moisturizer or vanity kit out for you. This place is as spartan as the low rent places surrounding it. It should simply be rebadged and turned into a hotel matching its environment. We would skip Milford next trip up to CT.

The room were clean but the down quilt was not and the window treatment (sheers) was ripped and dirty. The hotel staff was amazing. Free breakfast was good. I would recommend for a short term stay .

Dont book in this hotel. Horrible experience.. its dirty and i asked for a new room they send someone instead.

I was glad it was only for one night. The sauna pool was nice, but there no pool towels to be had in the pool area and the jets echo loudly in the high ceiling room. This property is very dated and the hallways are dark and depressing. The room was clean. The living room area furniture was saggy and the large faux leather foot stool was worn. The beds weren't as comfortable as they should have been as we felt the springs through the mattress. The breakfast was not so great. The frozen waffles may have been heated by were soggy. There were no bowls for the oatmeal, I did ask but I used a small plate while waiting. I wouldn't go back but it wasn't horrible but it was subpar for the Hyatt for sure.

Older property, I’m not accustomed to Hyatt properties having heavily worn room furniture, moldy bathroom caulk, tiny cheap towels etc. We got a room right next to the side exit door which kept slamming all night, (avoid room 106 at all costs) wasn’t able to sleep much at all. Loud partiers in the parking lot until after 1:30am. For nearly $300 per night I expected a little better. Thankfully stayed only one night, will stay elsewhere in my upcoming visits to the area

Wonderful staff, cleanliness of the room had a lot to be desired.

Worst Hyatt we have ever been in. Needs a total rehaul. Very dark and dank, old and worn, dated. Felt dirty and hard to tell if it was not because so dark. Bathtub/shower was disgusting. All the fixtures coming out of the wall amd brown/black around the soap holders. Do not stay here.

The Desk staff was great - welcoming & helpful. Breakfast was pretty good as well. But the room itself was so-so. There was a rip in the ottoman and the furniture was pretty worn. The shower needed to be updated -especially the shower. The overall cleanliness was fair-

The staff was extremely kind. Very warm and welcoming. Our room was a bit run down, but huge. I actually liked it better than the layout of most hotels we’ve stayed in. It had a desk area, coffee bar, large sectional couch and then a half wall between the seating a sleeping area with a TV that pivoted from one area to another. The water pressure was great and the water was super hot. So, lots of pluses, but the room just looked warm in. Stain on the couch, gauge in the wall and probably a third of the tiles were cracked on the bathroom floor. I did let the front house team know about the room, and they offered us another, but we had traveled so much throughout the day (and honestly we were just exhausted, that we kindly declined and stayed.) However, even with all those things in mind, I still probably would recommend staying here for the kindness of the staff and the convenience of the location. PS If you stay, go visit the Dumpling House restaurant. Scratch made and mind blowing - just a few minutes away.

Many things at this hotel were good... The room was great, plenty of space. What they got wrong kills the rating. At night, there are extremely bright spotlights pointing directly at the hotel. They have shades, but no side curtains, so light comes through on the sides. Way to bright to sleep well. It was actually darker in the room early morning because the spotlights turned off. The hotel said there was nothing they could do about it. On another note, it had a very big living room, but no TV ... So a big empty room with a couch. Great if you want to host a dance party I suppose.

Advertises room sleeps 4 people. It does not! The pull out couch sleeps one person only. King size bed in the room was old, uncomfortable and creaked making so much noise if you moved at all.

This hotel is quiet, clean and although it’s not new or fancy it has everything you need for a short stay. Staff is very friendly.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay overall. The room was large with a comfortable seating area Breakfast options were good, but serving/seating area small and crowded. Ac unit very loud, and shower water pressure not the best (may be attributable to being in a handicapped room). Easy access off of I-95.

Dear Guest Services Manager, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience my wife and I had during our recent stay at Hyatt Place Milford New Haven from May 22 through May 25, 2025, in room 504. On May 23, our room was not serviced, which we initially understood due to your every-other-day cleaning policy. However, we specifically requested that our room be cleaned on May 24. Despite this, upon our return that day, the room was again not serviced. When my wife called the front desk to inquire, the attendant put her on hold for five minutes and then responded antagonistically, accusing us of placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. We were careful not to do so, fully aware of the cleaning policy. Later that night at approximately 11 PM, I went downstairs to speak with the manager on duty, who was identified the next morning as Rogel according to the next attendant. Rogel claimed to have a written request but insisted there was a “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door and that he had a record picture on his phone. When I asked to see the photo, he refused, stating, “I don’t have to show you anything.” I then requested his business card, which he said he did not have, and when I asked for his name, he hid his name tag with his hand. When I attempted to take a photo of him, he forcibly slapped my hand away, causing me to drop my phone. This was especially distressing as I had surgery on that hand just 10 days prior, and this action amounted to an a

most of the staff was extremely sweet and helpful except for one man who seemed to work there was extremely weird and made my entire group feel uncomfortable. the first night we stayed we went to the car to get something we had forgotten and he made a comment about coming into our room to "join our party". on the second day we got a noise complaint from singing my friend happy birthday, he was sent up to give us a warning and had made the same distasteful joke but this time he directly threatened to have him and his coworkers come up and "join us" without even mentioning the noise complaint, we had to ask him why had came up for him to give us the complaint. nice hotel but not if you\'re not in the mood to be perved out.

Eli and Jarrell were accommodating and friendly from start to finish. They were funny, but professional - informative, attentive, and courteous to every single person that passed through, including the dogs. I was extremely impressed.

We always stay here when visiting family nearby - we've stayed in some of the other hotels nearby but the friendliness of the staff here, from the management to front desk to those who clean, make it the 1 notch better than the others.

Room and hotel are very nice. But the service sucked, our TV didn’t work…I went to the desk to ask about it. The gentleman said he’d send somebody to help and nobody ever came nor were we acknowledged again.

We checked in Friday and out on Tuesday and we never had anyone come in the room to take the trash, sweep the floor, and give towels/ toilet paper the entire time. I don’t think we should have to go to the front desk to ask for the items.

Waited for a long time at the front desk to get checked in, finally went in search of someone. Found them making food for a customer's bar order. He was very friendly but clearly covering too many roles. Room was old and outdated and uncomfortably dirty. Beds were comfortable, sheets, curtains, walls, and couch had holes. Shower had mold. Staff was friendly.

Stayed a night for my sons lacrosse tournament, it was spacious and a close drive to food, shopping, and the ocean!

Frankly it was close to the street. I woke up early because of the cars and trucks hunking outside

There was directly across the street from some sort of waste management, which gave the area a terrible smell. You don’t smell it inside the hotel, though our TV in the room did not work. Someone came to fix it twice every time you turn it off it wouldn’t turn back o Other than that, it was very nice

Some parts of the room could use some updating and you can tell a lot has been redone but a great value for the price. Very clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was solid. Easy ride to the train station in New Haven. Would stay again!

Great stay and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was basic but good. We stayed over 3 nights and there was little variety.

The mini frig wasn’t plugged in, the bedside phone wasn’t hooked up, The shower, toilet area, was barely lit, And, there was only one washcloth and hand towel in my room. The restaurant is a complete joke. There is no dining room, and the entire available menu consists of six items. The lobby is actually the dining area. Unfortunately, I could never recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was adequate but limited in quality.

Rooms were clean but dated. Not near enough outlets and not a single USB charger in the room. TV worked, but the panel that allows for other inputs wasn't working. One bright spot is the food downstairs was good and available 24 hours.

Breakfast was chaotic. Specialized coffee maker was broken!! VERY disappointing!!! Location felt pretty sketchy.

The staff was attentive and pleasant. The breakfast was great! On the negative side, our comforters needed an update. The filling on both was matted inside so parts had no filling at all!! The couch is getting worn now. The bathtub needed a grab bar; it was supposed to be a handicapped room!
