A nice, genteel place to stay, a little tattered but well operated. They have a great fitness center, too, and they have free Tesla chargers in the garage. I will book again but will not use hotels.com. Hotels.com was a bit deceptive in pricing, did not include the hotel service charge. That kind of thing is not appreciated.

Everything was just adequate. Not great and not good but OK. Elevator was out of order so we had to carry luggage up the stairs, which was only a problem because it was New Year’s Eve and my female companion was wearing heels (we had three bags and I could only carry two.) The shower hadn’t been properly cleaned (see photon- eeeeww!). And there were no glasses in the room so we had to drink our champagne out of paper cups.

Booked a room for a night since I was hosting a fundraiser for my daughter’s school Nextdoor at Hapa’s. This was perfect because I could just walk up to the room after a night of fun with our school! The room was clean, comfortable, and had a balcony. Complimentary wine and cookies at check-in was a perk, and complimentary breakfast items in the morning was nice. The price was affordable and the location was great! Con: the key readers to get into our room/gym didn’t work sometimes Con: the floors/ceiling are thin and you can hear footsteps from the floor above you, it was daytime though, so I wasn’t bothered, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Very nice and quiet place to stay. Bed was comfy and room clean. Only negatives were the bathroom tile was slippery and I slipped out of the shower and fell on my back...ouch! The faucet is set so that the water comes out on the counter or is hard to get your hands under without making a mess. The door extra lock that I always lock was missing. Super easy parking!

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel properly overall was very nice and in very close proximity to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. We will stay again.

Rented the room for my girlfriend’s birthday, next morning the “breakfast “ they offered was completely gone due to according to them one family wiping it out. But hey it’s cool because I was told I can go to some bagel shop and get my own breakfast…. And to make things even worse, as we gathered all our belongings we noticed that our blankets that we used to cover ourselves had blood stains all over them! I was not only disappointed with Toll house hotel, I’m disgusted!!

Bedroom was pretty dirty, lots of dust, splashes on mirrors, our room was not cleaned or replenished on second day. Large bedrooms with new carpets and fittings, however hallways smelt like wet carpet. We complained, nice receptionist gave us fresh towels etc but did not resolve our grievances. Stayed in better motels to be honest. Attached restaurant and bar closes at 9pm so no food or beverage offerings after that, despite being marketed as a tavern. Location is great, parking, and recharging your car but at this s price I could not recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay, the service was terrific, the room and amenities were very nice. The only critique is the lack of upkeep. It is showing it's age and seems like some paint and small repairs would make its 4 star start.

Our room was very comfortable. The sheets were amazing. It had an amazing view of the mountains. The parking was fantastic. It was very easy to walk the darling town. It was very easy hyway acess. All in all very convenient.

The bed in the room was so hard that my wife and I got very very little sleep. We are not old or out of shape, and that bed had us both in pain all night long. With 4 kids in our home, we very very rarely get a chance to go anywhere. However, I had $81 in points, so we decided to take one night for ourselves. We live 3 hours north of Los Gatos, but we love the town. It’s peaceful and quiet, and our primary goal on these rare and short trips is to catch up on much needed sleep and relaxation so Los Gatos is great. Toll House came recommended on Hotels.com, so we decided to use my HARD EARNED points to get a nice room and relax together before coming home to our stressful environment. We are both more exhausted than when we left. It feels like we wasted our one chance this year to get away on a cheap, hard bed. The hotel is nice, the room was acceptable, but the most important thing, the bed, was beyond bad. By the way, my wife and I own a mattress store, so we know a cheap spring mattress when we feel one. I will never stay there again, and I’m not even sure if I will books through hotels.com again. The reward point system was degraded to a worse program. It takes forever to earn enough points to matter, and then you can just waste those hard earned points on bad stays.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is great, right in downtown with many shops and restaurants. The room is well appointed with a split bathroom. The only annoyance was the a/c unit. Loud and the cold air blasts directly on the bed.

This is such a lovely spot in Los Gatos. It’s easy to walk everywhere and it’s quiet at night. Unfortunately the beds are not very comfortable (but if you like a super firm mattress with no cushion it will suit you fine). Nicest front desk staff, though, and very reasonably priced (which is a trade off with needing to bring your own mattress topper…)

The thermostat in the room was not consistent. The room was chilly most of the stay when it should have been toasty. Called the front desk from the room phone to check out. Rang about 10 times then someone hung up. Called again no answer. Called from my cell phone after the 5th ring it was picked up. I let them know I tried calling from my room with no acknowledgment of the attendant. I would not return to this establishment.

Walls are paper thin. Had a terrible night’s sleep between the people jogging back and forth on the floor above all night and the zoo animal like copulating in the room next door. Expected better privacy and insulation for the price of the stay. Bummer, because the hotel is nice in itself.

Super mad at Expedia for misrepresenting the room. We paid for a 418sf premium room and it’s barely 250sf and far from premium. Dated. Old. 1 sink. Crappy bath. Dinky balcony overlooking parking lot and west facing full sun. Limited tv channels. No one answered the front desk calls.

Hotel was in a nice location and room was fine. Lower star rating because of poor customer service. We had a power outage the morning we checked out and were planning on staying up until check out (to walk around town). We left around 8 am instead due to the outage. When I asked about compensation, the manager just said it was not their fault and there would be no compensation. The response was absent an apology or empathy. That's just basic customer service.

From 130 am the people in the room above us were screaming at each other, shouting, banging around.. I called the front desk non stop from 2-3am and got no answer.. obviously the desk clerk was sleeping better than us. Called the bellman, no answer, considered calling the police because it sounded at times like someone was shrieking. Drunken, loud guests should not be allowed to continue disrupting other people who are trying to sleep. I will never stay here again and will definitely spread the word about the lack of nighttime staff. Felt quite unsafe

I have stayed at this hotel many times but 3 weeks ago, when staying there for 4 nights, we endured and reported our experience and it fell on deaf ears. The hotel was hosting to very loud activities on a Friday night AND Saturday night. Our room was just off the front lobby and these groups of people were so obnoxiously loud that my husband finally went to the front desk wearing his pjs asking for assistance. The guy said he was just getting ready to get off but he would say something, he did NOT. The following night, same scenario! My husband finally went to talk to the people gathered outside just two doors down. Clueless! I get it, they were most likely drunk but there’s no way the hotel employees couldn’t hear them and should have acted on the behalf the other guests! Upon check out we recapped our less than nice experience with the front desk and there was an “I’m sorry you had a bad experience” but nothing beyond that. I was hoping for a manager to reach out but still nothing. I decided to write an honest review. Toll House should have offered much better guest service.

I have stayed at this hotel many times but 3 weeks ago, when staying there for 4 nights, we endured and reported our experience and it fell on deaf ears. The hotel was hosting to very loud activities on a Friday night AND Saturday night. Our room was just off the front lobby and these groups of people were so obnoxiously loud that my husband finally went to the front desk wearing his pjs asking for assistance. This hotel is overpriced and understaffed., I waited at check in for 10 minutes for anyone to show up at the reception desk. My television did not work in my room and they did not know how to fix it.:( Location is good.

Probably one of the best checkin experiences i have had in terms of friendliness and efficiency. The stay was also great - the hotel itself is pleasant, stylish, and very comfortable. I definitely would book this hotel again.

Booked double queen room for family of 4. Checked in and that room was not available as it was oversold. Placed in a single king room with fold out couch and roll away. Fold out couch has disgusting stain on the mattress. Asked for another roll away. “Sorry, we are out of roll aways.” All of this at 11pm. Total disaster. Front host did the best she could and was friendly.

We tried to check in at 3:00 but were told to wait because they were behind in getting rooms turned over. We sat down in the lobby and the next guy who came in was told the same thing but when he said he needed the room because he had to be somewhere he was given a room right away. Somehow they magically made a room ready for him? Not cool. Plus, there were two wedding parties there and the teo front desk people kept disappearing. The room was ok. Small, but clean.

Everything was great. Very nice and helpful staff. Let us check in early which was very helpful. Had to drive quite a way to a class reunion. I would stay at the hotel again. Thank you!

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel properly overall was very nice and in very close proximity to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. We will stay again.

Rooms are very small older hotel that has had some remodeling done. charged a resort fee but the bar was closed there was no restaurant (they say they have dinner service but we were there at 6pm no dinner noted) First night there bar had a private party of about 20 people but the whole bar area was inaccessible the courtyard was closed no breakfast coffee and apples! just what was the resort fee for???

Location is good. However, for a pricey hotel, their customer service and breakfast is terrible!! For breakfast they just had a table with some really cheap quality bagels and danish. Coffee was mediocre. More like gas station quality. A few fruits but no bananas.. and worst was cartons of pineapple juice; one of which has moss inside!!! There was no room service.. we called to change towels and take out trash on the second day but no one did.

I came here for a weekend get together with some longtime professional colleagues. On the plus side, check-in was very friendly/efficient. I arrived before 11 a.m. and they were happily able to get me into a room right away. The room was clean/comfortable and the location was amazing for walking to any location in/around the center of Los Gatos. On the downside, the "breakfast" is only coffee and pastries (so nothing for anyone with a GF restriction. Also, it would have been nice to know ahead of time that the bar/restaurant was going to be closed the entire weekend, so there was really no option at all for food or a drink on-site. A group of us convened in the lobby for a glass of wine (we brought our own) before dinner and they wouldn't even allow us to use the glasses that were sitting out at the closed bar. Also, as a OneKey platinum member, I was supposed to receive a complimentary bottle of wine with my stay and they didn't have that available to give me.

Solid experience but the front desk staff was not overly friendly. Hispanic gentleman treated people in front of us rather rudely and gave us a room we didn’t reserved even after telling us the correct room at checkin. Had the room switched and he tossed the key at us.

Our room had an ant infestation and nothing was done about it. We were only there for a night but the staff didn’t get back to us until we had already checked out. The shower curtain was covered in buggers

When we checked in we were not notified that the main elevator was not working that to access our room we would have to take the padded service elevator all the way across the main lobby. No signs on how to get there. The desk staff just yelled directions from the front when they saw we were struggling. Thanks for that. To make a long story short, We as over 70 yrs old and were given the room farest from the elevator Room 302. We got lost in the maze of hallway again ,no signs to be helpful since NO elevator. Had to ditch the bell luggage rack on the floor and on foot found room then return to rack and proceed to room. Ridiculous, exhausting and stressful. 2 days before check in I received email stating there would be an extra $35 dollar charge to Park!! So that was our dinner budget. Thanks again .When I booked it there was NO mention of this. Hidden fees are sneaky and unprofessional. Location was excellent and quiet, nicely appointed lobby. Signs and desk assistance would have been greatly appreciated. I felt like a inconvenience not a guest. Thank you Catherine Carrier
