The room felt dirty. The chair and ottoman had stains all over. The carpet smelled. And talk about feeling unsafe. Everything was plugged into power stripes that wasn't fastened down. Sorry but i won't be returning to this location.

Our first room had dirty bathtub was not clean. The second one was better but I would say that though hotel is dated and even though it’s not the fault, people are rude there they come in after 10 o’clock and make all kinds of freaking noise if I was management the first thing I would do is tell him to shut the hell up be quiet,

The staff we talked to were all super friendly and kind. The hotel room itself had some hair on the tub and towels in the bathroom, and the room smelled of mold. We turned off the air conditioner and slept with the window open, but all of us had headaches and I had major congestion. Unfortunately not a safe hotel for those who are mold sensitive.

While the employees were lovely, the hotel was not clean. We found bugs in our room. Our shower broke and it was not fixed so we didn’t have a shower the second morning. The rooms have wear and tear as well.

The hotel is a good alternative to the pricier ones across the river in LaSalle. The room was fine, with 2 small queens/twins, but the sink was located outside the room w/toilet and bath, squeezed into a cubbyhole, which did not allow for any personal toiletries to be placed next to the sink. Not much thought was done by the designer of the property.

The room was musty and there was evidence of water issues in the bathroom. The heating and air unit only worked in the HIGH settings making it hard to adjust the temperature in the room. The linens were all clean and the bed comfortable.

Staff was pleasant. Hotel is older and needs to be updated. AC unit is extremely loud. Bathroom is tiny like others have mentioned. Was next to crying baby and had people knocking going in and out at 3am for one room close. Bed was comfortable. Not sure much else would be better in Oglesby as it seems to be really small.

We had the weekend planned with our grandkids in the Starved Rock area. Since the weather is still cold we were looking for a hotel with an indoor pool. The price was right and the hotel had decent reviews. We got to the hotel and checked in. To our surprise after we checked in the pool was closed. Front desk never mentioned it or was listed in website that the pool was closed. We were very disappointed and upset especially when the gentleman at the front desk said sorry but nothing he can do. I immediately contacted Trivago and the representative called the hotel. He agreed to offer us a full refund if we immediately checked out. We couldn’t run out of there fast enough. He did recommend the Best Western down the street. It was a little more expensive but I think the hotel was nicer with an available warm inside pool. A nightmare turned into happy time for our grandkids.

this is an older motel but very clean. No roaches, no evidence of bed bugs. The tub drained quickly. The AC kept the room cool. Breakfast every morning was what you would expect but those waffles were amazing. Only draw back, the pillows. I would stay there again

Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, but in the top 10. We arrived late, around 10pm. Before even coming in we noticed that the trashcan outside the main door was overflowing. We checked in anyway and the staff was very nice. However, when we entered our room the first thing we noticed was that the cushion on the chair was torn in half with the stuffing coming out. Then we noticed that the carpet was wet from the fridge leaking condensation because the door was crooked / bent and didn't close properly. It was late though, and we had a big day the next day. So, we took off our wet socks, put a towel under the fridge door and went to bed. That's when we noticed that there were several sagging water spots in the popcorn ceiling above us. They appeared to be currently dry, so we ignored them and went to sleep. The next morning, as we got ready, we noticed that the bathroom floor was dirty with hair. In the shower we noticed that the area above the surround appeared to be freshly painted, but they left the blue painters tape half torn off around the clothes line fixture. When I went to turn the water on in the shower, the handle fell off. On our way out, I told the gentleman at the front desk about the chair and the fridge (the biggest issues). He apologized and said that he already knew about the chair. As we were leaving we saw that the overflowing trash had been bagged up, but was still laying there next to the can.

Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, but in the top 10. We arrived late, around 10pm. Before even coming in we noticed that the trashcan outside the main door was overflowing. We checked in anyway and the staff was very nice. However, when we entered our room the first thing we noticed was that the cushion on the chair was torn in half with the stuffing coming out. Then we noticed that the carpet was wet from the fridge leaking condensation because the door was crooked / bent and didn't close properly. It was late though, and we had a big day the next day. The building is a bit older, but they keep it well maintained. There was a newer tub and shower in the room. The room looked to have been recently painted. The only problem was you had to be sure to push the door shut hard to get it to shut completely. The pool is small but warm. The pool area was clean, and they had plants growing in windows. Would stay here again.
