Golden Tulip Leiden Centre

Wir sind immer in diesem Hotel, wenn wir in Leiden sind. Die Lage ist ideal. Das private Parkhaus gleich neben dem Hotel ist superpraktisch. Das Personal stehts freundlich und hilfsbereit. Grossartiges Frühstück! Einzig Netflix oder Internetzugang auf dem TV fehlt uns noch. Aber vielleicht kommt das ja noch. Preislich sicher eher etwas im höheren Bereich. Trotzdem eine absolute Empfehlung und das Geld wert.

Convenient near the town, canals and restaurants. A bit tricky to find the entrance if you drive. The restaurant was very good. Rarely you find a hotel or his caliber with a restaurant as good as this

Among the many positives; Kind staff (cleaning team!! and front desk). Even the renovation workers were also considerate. Very quiet and relaxing in the evening. The suite room was very comfortable. The bath was also such a lovely addition, great for my kid to enjoy. There were lobby seating areas that looked very pleasant to enjoy a chat. Very minor downsides: The baggage carts were challenging to steer. The lifts were quite small, so a baggage cart and a person is difficult to fit into the lift together. TV /channels were a little challenging to sort out. Ketnet and youtube didn't seem to work, which would have been better entertainment options for the moments the young ones need it. Everything worked out well, and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Mooi hotel tegen het centrum aan. Hondjes zijn welkom ( tegen betaling) en krijgen zelfs super lief een hondenpakketje!

Good hotel close to the train station. The hotel restaurant serves an excellent and reasonably priced dinner.

Mijn hond Clooney en ik voelden ons welkom en we hebben van ons verblijf genoten. De kamer was netjes en kompleet. Het eten dat ik op de kamer heb laten bezorgen was erg lekker en werd op tijd gebracht. Het hotel is zeker een aanrader en Clooney en ik komen zeker weer terug in de toekomst.

Parkeergarage buiten het hotel en etages alleen lopend te bereiken. Zwaar met koffers. We verbleven 2 nachten. Kamer werd de tweede dag pas om 17.00 schoongemaakt. Heel de dag in stad gelopen en bij terugkomst niet schoongemaakt. Dat gebeurde toen we net aan het uitrusten waren.Ontbijt 20,- pppd. We gingen om 9.45 ontbijten. Lopend buffet werd niet meer aangevuld, terwijl alles bijna leeg was. Om alles moest je vragen. Is absoluut geen 4 sterren hotel. Zeer teleurgesteld voor 185,- per nacht zonder ontbijt.

Good location. Bike storage. Efficient staff. Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Reasonable prices. Great value for money.

Positiv: sehr nettes Personal, prima Lage, sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, Parkhaus dabei! Negativ: harte Matratzen und schlechte Kissen, keine Terrasse, unser Zimmer war dunkel. Fazit: Das Hotel ist praktisch, wenn man auf der Durchreise ist, aber es lädt nicht zum Verweilen ein.

Am Hotel gibt es 6 Shell E-Ladestationen. Ladekarte erforderlich. Innenstadt zu Fuß gut zu erreichen.

Everything was so clean. It even smelled clean. Staff were quick to address our needs when we requested something. Will definitely stay here again. Very close to train which was nice.

Erg gedateerde kamer voor de prijs die je betaalt. Ook niet volledig schoon. Locatie is fijn.

Found dirt all over the back of the TV. I think the cleaning team have not inspected there for months went to reception and showed them the pictures Reception guys are great and friendly they apologised and quickly informed the cleaning team to put it right

Clean room and comfortable

Quite an expensive hotel which is located in a great location (close to train station) in Leiden. For a hotel that seems to charge a higher end price, there is no bottled water in the room and the coffee is chargeable in the mornings (odd for a Dutch hotel). Also, the mini fridge in the room had the previous customers opened tinned tray of sardines, which was an unpleasant find. In short, there are many better hotels in Leiden.

Good staff, good surrounding. Great location—just steps from the Leiden Central station. However, the bathroom was extremely unclean—to the point that one should never give this hotel a four star rating. Expedia should take these things into consideration when rating a hotel. The toilet bowl had terrible stain! I don’t want to give a description of it. Wish I had a better room with clean toilet. That said, since I might go to Leiden soon, I’ll probably end up staying here again simply because of the location.

Die Executive-Zimmer sind wirklich schön und sauber. Besonders gut ist das Frühstücksangebot. Vom Hotel aus kann man die Innenstadt zu Fuß sehr leicht erreichen.

We chose The Golden Tulip, for a week’s stay because it is so close to the Leiden Central Station, so it was a great location. We could quickly walk to all of the great areas of the wonderful city of lLeiden. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The double bed room was small, but well laid out, efficient and impeccably cleaned everyday. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The espresso machine was great! The room has been updated with great modern design. What was missing are the amenities we expect from a 4 star hotel. The bathroom amenities, particularly the hair conditioner and body lotion were virtually impossible to get out of the tiny containers, and there was no actual shampoo, just a body wash/shampoo combination. The soap dispensers seemed too cheap for a 4 star hotel. The hallways are quite dreary and could use some art on the walls. All that being said, we would stay at The Golden Tulip again, and hope that the ammenities hav3 been upgraded.

Soft mattress, I like to have a window open at night but the crisp outside was noisy in room 208. Hotel is in a super handy location close the the train and central Bus station and just a few minute walk to the central part of Leiden

Goede locatie. Hotel lijkt wat verouderd, oude vloerbedekking in de gangen. Hotelkamer (executive) aan de kleine kant. Er lag nog een tube doucheschuim van de vorige gasten. Kamer gehorig zeker dus helaas met ramen dicht moeten slapen. Airco is aanwezig. Roomservice is mogelijk maar erg prijzig. Bedden werden wel opgemaakt tijdens ons verblijf maar geen nieuwe handdoeken of schone glazen/koffiekopjes. Geen flesje water in erg kleine koelkast. Er past geen 1,5 liter fles water in. Personeel vriendelijk. We hebben geen ontbijt genuttigd in het hotel dus daar valt niets over te zeggen. Mocht je buren de deur willen ontbijten dan is Bagels&Beans op loopafstand een aanrader. Prachtige stad is Leiden, wel erg druk door de Pride.

Hotel is close to train station, convenient to take train to other attractions. Hotel staff is professional and courteous, but not friendly nor put any extra effort in assisting the customers. I think this might be typical in Europe, unlike American hotels. We had the business suit, room is spacious but noisy in the morning from the elevator so don't sleep in late. Also room doesn't have enough lights and too dark at night for older travellers like us. Room's view out of window is a roof of the building with a wall in front, so no so good.

Sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung Bus und Bahn. Fußläufig ist das Zentrum zu erreichen. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Gerne wieder.

Hotel is exceptionally placed for visiting Leiden - walking distance to many places of interest. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable.

Dear Reception Manager Golden Tulip Leiden Center I hope you are in the best of health I would like to inform you that I have been traveling to the Netherlands mainly for business since 1980. The first hotel I stayed in was the Marriott in Amsterdam. Since then I stayed in most of the major hotels in Amsterdam except the Amstel. The same for Rotterdam. My business took me sometime to small towns where I stayed in small but convenient hotels. I arrived the day before yesterday intending to stay for two nights on my way back to Kuwait from Detroit but the charm of Leiden induced me to stay for two more days. Everybody we met in the hotel and the city was nice and polite except one receptionist I met her today at AM 11:50. We were supposed to move to our new room in the new building. I went to the receptionist whose name is Noa and I am not sure about the spelling and asked when we can move to our new room and she or another girl answered your room is ready. And I asked Noa what time I have to check out from my room and she replied at 12. So I told we need more time to pack. She insisted on 12. And I asked give at least until 12:30 and she replied no. And then after demand from me she said I will give you until 12:15. And we managed to check out at 12:25 and a nice girl checked us out. I told Noa that even if you’re fully booked the room has to be available by PM 3:00. But she didn’t care. But the most hurting was the way she was talking to me. She was talking to me as

Geweldig verblijf gehad, service en personeel was uitstekend en dachten goed mee. Wel zou ik op de details letten van de Business Suites, de kunst hing niet goed mee, mag ook worden vernieuwd, kitwerk van de badkamer was achterstallig. Verder wel erg ruim opgezet, maar mag dus wel meer de klasse uitstralen wat je ervoor betaald en fris zijn. Personeel was uitstekend en service ook.

De ansatte i reception var direkte ubehøvlede under både indtjekning og udtjekning. Havde for øvrigt også rod i registreringerne, så de forsøgte at få betaling for opholdet ved både ind- og udtjekning. Lidt uopmærksomhed fra min side ville have betydet dobbelt betaling. Og nærmest latterligt, blev receptionisten fornærmet over at blive opdaget i en fejl.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti e la seconda notte non hanno pulito la camera, non hanno riassortito gli asciugamani e nemmeno i prodotti. Colazione ottima, personale poco cordiale. Carissimo il costo aggiuntivo per il cane. 25€ non ammesso nella sala colazioni ma solo nel bar. Letto molto comodo

This was a great location to stay. Across the street from train and bus station. Easy access to the tulip gardens as they have a bus dedicated for the gardens at the depot. With the train station across the street made it easy to travel to other areas. Restaurant was good and service was outstanding. And everyone was eager to help and spoke English! Thanks

Due to road work it is almost impossible to reach hotel with car. Very confusing for new guests. Bed could have been more comfortable.

Ideale uitvalsbasis om de stad te bezoeken. Zeer goeie bedden en een goed aangevuld ontbijt.

Ruime kamer maar wel een beetje standaard , geen vier sterren waardig. Daar in tegen was het ontbijtbuffet zeer uitgebreid ,echt top. Hotel op loopafstand van het centrum
