Seems like the beds were new but a bit firm for my liking. The hotel over all was quiet. It was a basketball tournament weekend and had to come up a day earlier than expected do to weather. Hotel seemed to be understaffed, lounge restaurant were both closed. Pool wascolder than most and hot tub was not hot

The ice machines didn’t work, the bar closed at nine but if you knew the bartender you could get a drink later than that, restaurants in the area all closed at 10…The soap dispensers in the room were all empty

The bathroom light in our room was out, so the only lighting we had was above the shower. There weren't any towels in the fitness room, but the fitness room was AWESOME! The room was very nice and we loved the refrigerator freezer in our room.

The restaurant was closed due to an event taking place there. That was one of the reasons I chose the hotel. The pool opens very late in the morning so it can’t be used until 8:30.

Parking need to be restructured. With today’s size vehicles, they do not properly fit the spaces, the door to our room had a slight issue with deadbolt. We were able to secure the room but it is a task. Staff was polite, friendly and professional. Breakfast Equipment needs better maintenance.

Stayed there for the lounge itself and it wasn’t open. When you walk the hallways they creek. Beds were so terrible worn out. I wouldn’t recommend a stay here

Unwelcoming staff- seem inconvenienced by patrons, filthy room, stained towels, looked like small fecal matter on floor in closet, blood droplet on side of toilet, not vacuumed, nonstop flashing headboard light, stains on wall by bed, etc. Cleaned most of what i could. Did not want to give me a refund initially. Have pictures and video. Skip this place- period. You don't want the hassle

Room was dirty and dusty. Fridge and microwave weren’t cleaned. Fire detector was removed, when notified of the staff brought battery operated one in room. When heat was turned on it smelled like the unit was burning. Ultimately changed rooms. Lounge, casino and restaurant were not open. Breakfast was nothing to be desired.

Room given wasn’t even clean yet from the previous person. Breakfast was terrible there was nothing there to eat everything was gone and not refilled. Try to have a bagel then but that was hard and dried it. Carpet floor on first floor there was something spilled or someone got sick and it was there for 3 days when I was there and still there when I checked out.

Sheets were stained and lots of pilling. Pillows were so stained you could see it through the pillowcase. Breakfast was very poor. Never found an ice machine. Will not stay again. When we told the front desk about our bedding he noted it and said that’s all you can go now. Not too concerned

I loved that the lobby and waiting areas were gorgeous. I liked how the closet in our room was behind a giant mirror, on the other hand the rest of our room was gross. The caulking in the bathroom was moldy and peeling, the toilet had some stains. The furniture was stained and we had to go buy some febreeze to get rid of a greasy food smell, and there was a lot of food(?) splatters all over the wall by the trash can. All of the bedding was stained. It was as if they did a quick clean after someone had been living there for few months and then gave it to us.

They need to invest some money into this property or pay to get some good staff. Everything but the lobby is filthy. Bed was a hard as a rock... from past experience, only some of the rooms have pillow top mattresses, others are old, hard, noisy box springs. Bar and restaurant wasn't open all weekend for some reason. Will not return as it's not worth the money!!

The food wasn't to bad but the mattress was very lumpy and there was debris on all the floors. This included the hallways and the room. Plus the lock on exit door did not work to re-enter the building. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hallways were dirty with debris all over the place. Walls have not been cleaned in forever. Elevator was disgusting. Beds...dont even get me started on the beds!! Horrible! They squeak with every tiny movement....sounds of thick rubber rubing on rubber! Annoying as heck. And it easnt just the first toom they put us in...it was also another. The front desk guy said oh yeah, that's like that in all of our rooms. I asked for a refund and he gave it to me but not without an attitude. Very rude!!

The room with 2 queen beds was huge! Staff was friendly & polite. The easy chair and the beds top cover need updating ... definitely stained and old. The beds were comfortable though.

I booked a one-bedroom suite because I was there for a few days, and I work remotely and wanted the kitchen. The room was nice but there was no coffee maker, no microwave, no utensils or dishes and the knobs were taken off the stove. I asked the front desk if I could at least get a coffee maker and they said yes, but never came with it. I paid $195.00 a night and I feel like I should have at least had the amenities I requested.

First room assigned the entry light has one dead bulb and the other kept blinking. Headboard lights blinking. Microwave flashing. Wonder if room had lost power. Was quickly assigned a new room. In this room, the Direct TV time was off (no, not CST vs MST - the time was just wrong) and the guide did not match what was on. The channels didn’t even match. Very annoying since there was a tornado watch nearby and it would have been nice to find the local channel easily. Restaurant was not open the night we checked in, but there are options nearby. Easy access to hit the highway to visit Theodore Roosevelt park.

The gal that checked us in didn't seem to know what she was doing. When the manager came out to assist her, her gestures and eye rolling was very inappropriate. Our room was filthy, the bathroom sink was full of long dark hair,, there was someones leftover food in the refrigerator , floors had not been vacuumed and no phone to call the front desk! Did get moved to the room across the hall and 1/2 the lights did not work but at least it was a bit cleaner! Will not go back there again!

No one was at front desk for check in. Waited 15 mins. Forgot to run my card at check in and next day 2 adult men proceeded to enter my room , while I was not there , and my 2 teenage daughters were only occupants at the time. Told them they had 30 minutes to pay or leave!

The first room we were in was very musty. I asked to switch rooms and the staff was not very nice about it. The next room smelled better but there was mold on the shower curtain and in the shower. I said yes but we already used the two provided. She was annoyed. The breakfast was not great. We were there for a wedding. My sister's room was in the 300s and seemed a little better. We were in the 400s and it seemed more run down. They also agreed the staff were not very nice. The pool was chilly and the hot tub had a lot of foam in it.

The people at check in where very friendly and the process was fast. When we got to the room we noticed that the door wouldn't latch when closed, but a quick call to the front desk had a repairman there in no time a the issue was resolved. The room was clean and quiet and for an older hotel it is kept up quite nice. The breakfasts were adequate, offering more than we would normally have if we were at home.

BEWARE of your charges! We were charged for a night that we cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. We originally got a small refund only to be charged again a day later. Also charged twice at the bar. We were told it would be adjusted but it never was. The bed was comfortable but the room needed maintenance attention. Soap dispensers broken, towels were old, floor was sticky. In our brother's room the sink faucet came completely off the counter. Disappointed in our stay for those reasons.

Hallways were dirty with debris all over the place. Walls have not been cleaned in forever. Elevator was disgusting. Beds...dont even get me started on the beds!! Horrible! They squeak with every tiny movement....sounds of thick rubber rubing on rubber! Annoying as heck. And it easnt just the first toom they put us in...it was also another. The front desk guy said oh yeah, that's like that in all of our rooms. I asked for a refund and he gave it to me but not without an attitude. Very rude!!

We spent our days in Medora and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I highly recommend dinner at the Pitchfork Steak Fondue and a show at the Medora Musical. Both exceeded our expectations. The room at the Astoria were comfortable and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to other because of its location.

I made reservations here based on the reviews. However, we were not impressed. Tv did not work during our stay. Breakfast was only so-so. Orange juice dispenser was out, forks, and knives were out. Shower water did not drain well. We were charged more than what was quoted. The manager got defensive with us discussing the bill.

Stayed there for the lounge itself and it wasn’t open. When you walk the hallways they creek. Beds were so terrible worn out. I wouldn’t recommend a stay here

Had to request new towels because they were literally falling apart and stained. The floors in the common areas were always dirty. We stayed 3 nights and the room was never cleaned. Breakfast food was never filled. If you got there at 8:30, you didn’t really get anything.

I was extremely disappointed with our stay. This was honestly one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed at, especially considering what we paid. Our room did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The floor had not been vacuumed, there were stains on the walls and flooring, and the furniture throughout the room was chipped and very worn. The shower was old and honestly just felt gross. The shower curtain was brown along the bottom, and the shampoo and conditioner dispenser had apparently fallen off the wall and was stuck to the bottom of the tub. The sink also leaked underneath. There wasn't even a room number sign outside our door. Breakfast wasn't much better. Some of the equipment, including the pancake maker, didn't work, which just added to the overall feeling that the property is poorly maintained. We were also traveling with dogs, and there really wasn't a good or convenient area outside for pets. Considering the condition of the hotel and the lack of a decent pet area, the amount they charge for dogs is ridiculous. I don't expect a hotel to be fancy, but I do expect it to be clean and reasonably maintained. Unfortunately, this hotel was neither. The entire property felt neglected and in need of a serious deep cleaning and updating. I would not stay here again and definitely would not recommend it.

Overall felt drab and a little depressing. Pool area is nice and looked clean, with extra large hot tub. Included breakfast was very good. We will NOT stay here again.
