Hotel is very clean and modern. Has all the conveniences of home to make your stay comfortable. The only disappointment was the parking. Facilities for parking operated by outside vendor and you are charged besides daily fee an additional charge every time you go in and out.

What worked for us: Very friendly and efficient front-desk, very supportive staff, excellent location right next to the ferry station, decently equipped gym and a good breakfast. What could have been better: Please make coffee available in the lobby at all times + We found the rooms to be a bit small for a family of 3.

Only bad thing no pool

Conveniently located close to Port Authority and Public transportation for easy access to Manhattan . The parking was another issue, because every time we have to go out we have to pay a fee. I think that the hotel should negotiate a flat daily rate for hotel guess.

The hotelroom was very spacious and had a nice fitness. It was a very nice stay.

Not good. One of the two elevators was not working so it took a very long time also the working elevator sounded like a big rig. Our TV did not work- evidently no internet connection. I asked to change rooms and they said they were fully booked TV repair guy an hour plus later then asks if we would want to change rooms. Thought you were fully booked?? Over 3 hours later and TV still does not work- repair guy walks right into room after 11pm.

Perfect location on the Hudson if you want to visit NYC. Ferry conveniently located right in front of hotel. Parking was easy but parking payment kiosk was not taking card payment. Luckily I had plenty of cash on hand. Location was great! Breakfast was ok. Shower door did not close all the way. Sleeper sofa mattress uncomfortable. Light over kitchen table did not work. A few maintenence issues but location and view made up for it.

Breakfast very basic it’s bagged food. Parking you have to pay and once you leave if you come back you must pay. There is not a lot of street parking.

Hotel is very nice. However, I wish parking was free. $22 for 24 hours is a little steep.

We arrived late in the evening to find the key pad for room malfunctioning (needed battery), phone in room not working (needed battery), garbage disposal had trash in it and was also rusty: waited for an hour for maintenance to come and resolve issues until midnight, to no avail. Left 2 messages for the manager following morning with front desk. Manager never reached out, had to call a third time before maintenance showed up. Manager never returned calls. We were at the hotel for 10 days totaling a 3K bill, would expect a manager to check in with a courtesy call. In addition to this the front desk person when asked could not give full/detailed information or directions regarding details of commuting in and out of New York. As well, when asked, the front desk person could not give detailed info for local shipping options (UPS)...including that there was a UPS drop box right across the street from hotel, as well as a UPS Store just a short walk away (all basic services we had to figure out without help). Otherwise, laundry facilities-not well maintained: found the machine dirty, hadn't been cleaned had mold/dirt, and soap scum, dryer lint trap was overfull. Cell-Phone service was non-existent in our room. Bed was comfortable, air-conditioning adequate, breakfast adequate. Only one elevator working for 5 days of our stay servicing 164 rooms, not ok. We give them a C+ but no reason this property couldn't be exemplary by fixing management.

I didn't like that My bathroom still had toothpaste in the tray with hair on the bathroom counter. I needed an extra blanket and linens for the couch that i requested at 5 o'clock at the front desk. When I came back at ten, nothing was there.I had to go back down and ask a, and then they brought it up right away. I couldn't turn the light off in the room so I had to pull the plug and most of the light swwoudn't work. When I asked about it, they said there was a master switch somewhere. I never found somewhere. There was nowhere to hang your coat.If it was a long coat, as well as my dresses, which was a problem.I also I tried to get some ice, but there's no ice bucket. And the ice machine is a little dinky machine on the sixth floor about the size of a table popcorn machine. Kind of ridiculous, and it was very difficult to get ice out of which I had to put in a double bag that they gave me at the front desk because they had nothing else. Also, th blinds in the room Wouldn't go up or down. They just stayed there and didn't work when the buttons to retract them up or down were used. It's a nice hotel, without the toothpaste and the hair. I don't think I would stay here again. A woman at the front desk was amazing, and she was so helpful to me. The gentleman that was there after her, the one I had asked about the ice and did not get any blankets from.He was asked and he just didn't do his job. For 350.00 i shouldn't have had problems with ice ,lights, no closet and cleanliness

Clean room

Beautiful views of NYC skyline but that’s it. Once you park in the parking you’ll have to pay each time you move your vehicle so God forbid you have to run to the store because you forgot something. Staff was ok. Not overly friendly or welcoming. Room was semi clean but the sofa bed was absolutely disgusting.

Needs Improvement in Customer Service Training I’ve stayed at this Marriott Residence Inn last year and again this year, and while I generally enjoy the hotel, it’s clear that more attention is needed when it comes to customer service training. The reception staff seems to change often, and while some individuals are excellent and very helpful, others are not equipped to handle even basic requests. The rugs was dirty they had to change me from room, the second one was better but still dirty rug, the tat need a deep cleaning. For example, I recently needed to make an international call, and when I asked the receptionist how to do so, he simply said he didn’t know, adding that no one had ever asked him before. He didn’t offer to find a solution or speak to a manager, which was disappointing. I believe this could have been handled better with proper training. While I love the hotel and appreciate its amenities, the customer service aspect really needs to be addressed. I also noticed that the reception team seems to be composed mostly of young men. I didn’t see much diversity, with only one woman present when I was checking out. I think the hotel could benefit from more diversity and inclusion in their staff.

I usually like the Marriot hotels but this one just had one too many faults that I couldn’t give this a good review. The only good thing was the kind receptionist staff in the lobby. The complementary breakfast was awful. On top of having jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches instead of cooked food like all the other Marriott’s or even some 2 star Comfort Inns, they had the most insufferable Karen of an attendant. She was the most busy body and nosey person I’ve ever encountered from the staff of a hotel. She told my partner to not put the hot plates on the counter because the counter will burn which is absolutely not true and also, how are we supposed to open the food containers and scoop food AND also hold our plates the whole time?! Also she immediately accused us of trying to take a lot of food into our bags when we just came down to do laundry, which requires bringing clothes down in bags, and then hit up breakfast after. She then asked us to show our room keys as proof we are staying there. If you’re going to be that restrictive, have us show our room keys before we enter the breakfast area. I can’t describe how annoyed we were at this person and it made us not want to come down for breakfast anymore. If they wanted to save food, then it certainly worked. Good job. As for cleanliness of the room, there was gum in our shower that just wasn’t cleaned… ever.

Very clean and cozy

The clean rooms, magnificent Staff, Amenities. all concluded to a perfect stay.

Day 1 of stay: - water shut off with no notice at an inopportune time - ceiling leaks/hazardous conditions on the 11th floor Day 2: - a quarter-sized cockroach ran across my bed. Day 3: - no hot water - cold showers all around. This stay was very challenging.

The property is in a great location close to the NYWaterway ferry terminal with three stops across the river. The ability to catch a ferry nearly every twenty minutes is amazing and a great way to start an adventure each day with a jaunt to the city. There were a few significant issues though with our stay - notably the advertisement for a "city view," or as the fine print reads "partial city view" suite . . . the city view that we had was a sliver of uptown mostly obstructed by the giant parking garage that was outside our window. For the additional amount to be in a room with an apparent view this was highly disappointing and the major reason we chose to stay at this location - ease of access to the city - with a great view of the NYC skyline . . . which we absolutely did not have. Other smaller issues included not having the pillow(s), sheets, and blankets for the sofa pull out bed - I called the front desk with no answer, walked down to ask for the linens, and after 45 minutes of waiting (my son was asleep by then) I went back and asked. thirty minutes after that the sheets, etc. were delivered. When we checked in they started they were in the room . . . Continuing with the other small items were the ice machine that did not work, the lack of a fan (listing said a fan was available - when asking the front desk individual stated that he gets asked for that a lot and the advertisement needs to be changed), and a strange light setup.

Clean, easy check-in, beautiful facilities. One thing is that the AC unit is only in the bedroom, but keeping that door open allows for flow into the living space.

Lovely large suite with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/sitting room. Kitchen include large refrigerator, microwave and cooker so you can prepare your own meals if you wish. There is an ACME supermarket a short walk away. Good complimentary breakfast. Excelent transport links to Manhatten. Brilliant views of the Manhattan skyline. Service was brilliant.

I was suppose to have a view of the waterfront instead has a view of the side of the building . The blinds were broken so we had to have someone come in to fix them . It was my 50th I just expected a Nj sr view for my Birthday. I was disappointed in that .

We stayed for 2 days at the hotel. The staff was great and very helpful. The room was comfortable and a good size for a family of three. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the ferry that takes you to Manhattan. The only negative was that the sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable and needs to be updated. But overall, it was a good experience

While the room was very nice, we immediately noticed that the AC was only located in the bedroom. The rest of the space was very warm. The service gentleman said it was designed that way for energy efficiency. We had the run the AC all the time to reach the kitchen so not very efficient. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Fire alarm went off on our last day because one person burned something on cooktop and had to evacuate building. Parking was $22 a day which I didn’t recall being mentioned on the site details though I may have missed that.

Disliked that the property wasnt full but our room with the view wasnt the best view of the city. We saw a clear view of a parking garage and half of NYC skyline.

We usually stay next door at the Envue when we go to visit our child that lives in the area. We had our son with us this time. This side is just as nice. The hotel is wonderful for family’s. The separate bedroom is great with the pull out couch. The kitchenette was perfect and very clean. Definitely would stay again.

I would like to share an experience I had at the hotel bar when I went for breakfast. An older female staff member suddenly approached only me and asked, "What room are you staying in?" After I told her my room number, she then required me to show my room key card. During this process, there were dozens of other guests in the bar, but she did not ask such questions or make any requests of anyone else. I watched carefully throughout my meal, but she asked only me to show my key card. Because of this, I strongly felt that I was being treated in a discriminatory way based on my race. I was deeply upset and hurt. It was especially uncomfortable that this happened in a public area where others could witness the situation. If it is a policy for the breakfast restaurant to check whether guests are staying at the hotel, then it should be enforced for everyone, or not at all. I would like to emphasize once again that throughout my two-night stay, this kind of unpleasant situation persisted.

Great hotel, couldn't have asked for anything more. Hotel staff were attentive and provided everything that we needed when the airline lost our luggage. They ensured that we were comfortable and supported us throughout the experience. Would definitely recommend and will certainly stay again when in New York.

The room was beautiful and clean, but there were quite a few non-working items in the room. The phone battery was dead and the TV was not working properly, even after the non-working WiFi was restored hours after check-in. I was told that the pull out bed would be made for my 3rd guest, it was not. I used my cell phone to call the front desk and ask for sheets and the engineer to look at the phone and TV. After waiting 1.5 hours, I had to leave and put up a DND while I was gone. The sheets were brought, but the phone and TV were not restored. I was not offered any credit or compensation until approaching the front desk and asking what would be done. I spent $351 on a room for ONE night that didn’t have any of the perks I was promised when booking. Very disappointed and will likely not stay again. However, the location is convenient. The front desk was also hard to find from the parking garage. The breakfast was okay.

We booked this hotel for 9 nights. When we arrived to hotel at 1 am after 24 hours flight with 6 luggages and they said they "accidentally" sold our room and they can't help us for that night! They also mentioned that there was a game that day and it was very busy so it was obvious that they sold our room with a better price. There was lots of people who were with us and told that their rooms were also sold. It was unbelievable that we had to find another hotel for that night at 2 am and no one helped us!!! After we found and stayed in another hotel, we came back for our stay other day and the manager didn't even feel or say sorry about what happened! I never ever recommend this hotel to anyone because you can never know if you have the room or not!!!

Safe and quiet location. Easily accesible to the city via ferry, but allows you to have your own peace and quiet when you want to escape the hustle and bustle. My boyfriend and I arrived from California late night and were greeted by Chris. He was very helpful, accomodating, extremely welcoming and personable, which was very important in an unfamiliar city. Took the time to provide information on things to do and recommendations on places to visit, which were top tier. Hotel breakfast was a plus. Neighborhood felt safe and private. Will absolutely stay here again for all future stays in that area. Thank you again Chris for all your help!!!

An amazing hotel to stay in, a quiet and relaxing place away from the noise of Manhattan.

Location is perfect. Close to New York Waterway (ferry to Manhattan).

Our second time here. Great location fir sightseeing in NYC. Ferry is across the street. Hotel is clean. Staff is friendly. Rooms/suites nice size.

The location is fantastic. The NY Waterway ferry is across from hotel. There is a riverwalk around the Hudson River with the NYC skyline. There is a grocery store within walking distance. AND the hotel is beautiful. Feels like a home away from home.

All great. To and from Manhattan via the ferry was a piece of cake. Not much round the hotel/area, but great bar directly underneath - good food!

I would definitely stay here again. The view of NYC was amazing. It was close to the venue on 46th street.

Located right in front of Port Imperial, it's easy to get to Midtown New York.

Perfect stay! Best place to be if you want a great location and great accomidations for a great price. Walkable distance to a supermarket and the ferry is right across the street.

Absolutely perfect for our 10 day trip to NYC! Location was wonderful and so convenient as we traveled back and forth to Manhattan via the NY Waterway Ferry across the street. All the staff was wonderful the entire stay. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this Hotel was for our trip. Will absolutely be back again if I visit New York!

Quick overnight to visit a friend in Manhattan. This hotel is across the street from the Port Imperial Ferry. Great way to get to midtown. Fabulous quiche breakfast. Room was great!

We stayed here as a convenient option to get to Times Square via the ferry. The hotel is well maintained, rooms are updated and overall it was a great experience! If I had to give any negative feedback it would be of the breakfast staff. Kinda grumpy, yelling at everyone about the toaster and don’t ask if they have any plain bagels because you WILL get told that don’t, even if they do. They have pre-made breakfast sandwiches that all have cheese on them, cereal, yogurts and bagels. The breakfast is poor in comparison to many other residence inns I have stayed in but the experience was made worse because of the lady running it. I stayed for 8 nights and she was plain rude every day. On a good note Dunkin is next door! Front desk and our housekeeper were lovely.

Amazing breakfast buffet!

We had a great stay. The room was amazing! It had a little kitchen and a bar to eat at. The bathroom was good and clean! The cleaning ladies worked day and night. The people at the reception where amazing and a good help. For us the breakfast had not much options. Just toast, youghut oatmeal and cereal. It had 3warm things what changed, but where not fresh, just warmed up in plastic wrapped stuff. We would have liked to see more fresh option and like cheese of ham or chocolate to put on the toast. We loved the ferry. It was around the corner and brought you to Midtown from here it was a 20 min walk to time square. We had a great stay!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. We loved the NY Waterway shuttle from the hotel to Manhattan – truly top-notch! However, I have to mention the breakfast… it was quite disappointing. I’d rate it 2 out of 10. I’m not sure what Americans usually eat for breakfast, but if semi-finished, low-quality food is the standard – that’s a no-go for us.

Breakfast station ! More option maybe and a new TOASTER. For that quality of establishment, pretty sure you can upgrade the toaster and avoid the line ups.

The hotel is conveniently located near the light rail, bus, and a ferry. You can take a nice walk along the Hudson River, and there's a supermarket about 15 minutes away on foot. The free breakfast is basic—don’t expect a large buffet with fresh fruit or scrambled eggs. They offer toast, cereals, and warm pre-packaged sandwiches. The room was spacious and included a kitchen and fridge. Everything was clean, except for the air conditioning—there was dust in the filters that needed cleaning.

Loved this stay location as it was convenient for traveling into NY via ferry. Breakfast was very filling and tasty. Property seemed to have some renovations or maintenance near 11th floor elevator as the waiting area sounded like an aircraft. We hope to stay again in the near future
